Our Journey Home is a time line or journal of the journey the Holy Spirit started us on November 2011. That early morning i accepted the reality that my life was not only filed with the world’s ways but that i also had conformed to this world’s ways and had been living by world’s standards for years, not the Lord’s. i pray this book will help you find the path you should be on, the path to the small gate.

This world is not my home!

My home is beyond that small gate

He who loses his life will find it!

Where do you store your treasures?

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him should not parish, but have eternal life. Think you Jesus for loving us!

Our Journey Home November 12th 2011

(1)

The beginning

This part of my journey began when the Holy Spirit woke me up November 12th 2011 around 2:30 am and started running scriptures through my mind the ones that kept me awake were "Be ye holy as I am holy",  "While My mercies are still with you present your body a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to Me, this is to be your service of worship", "DO NOT be conformed to this world", and "you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect."

(Side track) ((((after working on staff at two different large church's i think that the last statement "DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD" has been totally removed from a lot of Christians vocabulary and perhaps even from their Bibles, but for sure from their lives)))) no charge for that one.

There is one thing you need to understand before we go any further this is my journey, not yours, i do believe it is up to me to force anyone on this journey with me, if you are not willing to surrender and submit all to the Lord and allow His Holy Spirit to lead your entire life, that is your choice, but with that in mind please relies if you go with me on this journey or not, i am still going, but please feel free to come along for if you want to come along you are more then welcome, just set back keep your heart open and be quiet, like i us to tell the kids don’t tell me witch way to turn you don’t have the wheel, (God dose). So on with the journey

"DO NOT be conformed to this world" can't very well take it out of context as one person said i was. And it is rather hard to miss understand as another person told me, "you miss understood what the Lord is really saying, but yet he couldn't explain it in any other way, the, DO NOT be conformed to this world.

For several mornings the Lord took me through His word so i could see what He says we should be conformed to, so far that seems to be a rather short list, we are to be conformed into the image and person of Jesus Christ!

For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it. So let’s get on the narrow path and get through the small gate.

Romans 8:29          For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren;

Romans 12:2         And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

To walk the narrow path seems to have a simple guide line be like Jesus! But being like Jesus will be the difficult thing, because growing up in America we are taught to take control of our lives. Jesus put Father God in control of His, so that is what we must also do.

Give God our life, ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins and then He will send the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, and then each moment of each day we have to give Him the power and authority to direct our days and life. So how should we live?

Mathew 5:21        we should not have angry in our heart towards a brother, we should not speak of a brother as being empty headed or good for nothing, and we should not call a brother a fool. If we have offended a brother we need to go to him and make things right with him before we can approach God, with our offering, i think this has to do with offering up our lives to Him also

Romans 12:1        I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. We should not look upon a woman and lust after her, for that is to have committed adultery with her in our heart. Lust leads to adultery so we should not lust after anything Romans 13:14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.

James 4:1        You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. And you are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel.

1st John 2:16-17        For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eye and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. And the world is passing away, and also its lust: but the one who does the will of the God abides forever.

We are to speak straight forward not wavering in anything

Mathew 5:37        But let your statement be yes, yes or no, no and anything beyond these is of evil.

We are to in all things not to return evil for good, and give to those whom ask more then they ask, to be stretched, to allow our lives to be stretched out, so we may serve others.

We are to love our enemies, and pray for those who persecute us, in order that we may be sons of the Father who is in heaven.

We are to treat every one the same, to greet each person we meet the same, with a grateful heart, that we can be Jesus to them.

And that brings us to Matthew 5:48 Therefore you are to be perfect, as you’re heavenly Father is perfect.

This has gotten me in trouble with others before but i truly believe that when the Father put something in the bible like be perfect as He is perfect, then He expects us to do our best to be perfect, as He is perfect. And for where it is located then i believe that Matthew 5:21-47 explains how we can be perfect,

  Recap

  • 1. We are not to commit murder
  • 2. Don't be angry with a brother.
  • 3. Don’t speak badly of a brother to put them down.
  • 4. Don’t call a brother a fool.
  • 5. If you have done something to offend a brother go to him and make it right.
  • 6. Make friends quickly with an opponent at law, if you are being sued settle out of court make it right if you can
  • 7. We are not to commit adultery,
  • 8. Not to look on a woman to lust after her, or anything else.
  • 9. We are not to divorce, we are given a way out (adultery) but i believe we are not to divorce (we are to forgive).
  • 10. We are not to make oath's, we are to have our words be truthful and a Yes means yes and our No means no
  • 11. If anyone sue us we are to give them more then they ask,
  • 12. We are to be merciful to those whom are friends as well as enemies.
  • 13. Greet an enemy the same as you would greet a brother; treat everyone with a gracious and joyful heart.

In the world we are taught;

  • 1. you have the right to say anything you want about anyone you want, and it is even more excitable to speak badly about some one then good, and to be angry has become the normal way of life for a lot of people Christian and non-Christian alike. And the normal response if you have offended someone seems to be they need to get over it.
  • 2. If you are sued do all you can to make people believe you did no wrong and the other person can do no right.
  • 3. Adultery is not only acceptable but is encouraged in so much of what we see and hear.
  • 4. Lusting after things including women is shoved at us in almost every ad and show and popular book out there.
  • 5. that divorce is ok for any and every reason you could possibly think of, and is even encouraged by the government.
  • 6. We are encouraged to make oaths and to speak in any matter we see fit to accomplish whatever we want.
  • 7. If we are sued to say what ever it takes to get out of it as long as we don't have to pay then tear down the other person as far as we can, and to get whatever we can out of the situation.
  • 8. We are taught to show no mercy at any time unless we can get something in return for it.
  • 9. To not even look at someone much less greet them,
  • 10. To only be friendly to those that we consider to be our friends or people we think we can get something from.

Which brings us to; the ways of man are unstable, and the ways men are not the ways of God.

Looks good on paper but now to live within the path set forth, starting today.

It has now been 9 months and 15 days do i have it down so that my life is a complete match to the words of Christ, not yet but it seems we are moving on, with this being the beginning foundation.

During this time the Lord has directed us to get rid of everything and to be ready to fallow Him. July 4th we are loaded and on our way, not knowing where to or the rough to get there.

Taught from James 1:21-25

Therefore putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your soul.

For if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man that looks at his face in a mirror, and once he looks away he forgets what kind of a man he was.

But the one that look intently into the perfect law (Matthew 5:21-47) the law of liberty and lives by it doing as we are commanded not just hearing it and then forgetting it, that person will be blessed in what he does.

We should not practice our righteousness before men to be noticed; otherwise we will have no reward with Father God who is in heaven. No one needs to know how much or how little we give, that is known by the Father.

When we pray we should pray in secret not out in front of every one and we should not use meaningless words, or a lot of words, a short prayer from the heart is more affective then a long prayer with a many of words. We are taught that the Father knows what we need before we ask Him, and that we should pray like this.

Matthew 6:9-13        Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen

When i first became a Christian i prayed both of these prayers, and the Lord always took care of me.

Psalms 23        The Lord is my shepherd, i shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet still waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the path of righteousness for His name's sake. Even though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death, i fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and loving-kindness will follow me all the days of my life, and i will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen

i think each day i will go back to praying both again.

We are to forgive others so that God will forgive us. And in the degree we forgive others God will forgive us. If we fast we are not to let others know. We are not to store up treasures for ourselves on earth, we are not to get and hold on to a lot of stuff,

We are to store up treasures in heaven, by doing as the Lord has instructed us to do, loving others and doing for them. We are not to serve this world we are to serve God we cannot serve both!

Matthew 6:24 says        "No one can serve two masters, and if you try you will love one and hate the other or you will hold to one and despise the other. You can not serve God and mammon.

Then 25 says         "For this reason" for the reason of serving God instead of man or trying to serve both, if you just serve God then there is no reason to become anxious about any thing, for God will take care of your life, food, drink and clothing, because God knows we need all of these things".

33 and 34 then says        “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for it's self. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

So then if i seek the kingdom and righteousness of God He will take care of all my needs. But if i become anxious and start worrying about things then i will strive after them and will not be trusting in God but instead be serving mammon.

Self and Others

Matthew 7:1-5

We are not to judge others, for by the standard and measures we use to judge others they will be used to judge us. But we must first look at ourselves and ask God to take the sin out of our lives before we can help a brother get rid of his by directing him to the Lord rather then looking at him through darkened eye's, eye's filtering things through sin. We should all realize and keep telling ourselves that the sin in my life is bigger then the sin in a brothers life; because it is in me.

Matthew 7: 6        Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

i understand grace and mercy but i also understand this scripture to be saying that we as christians need to be cautious about what and to whom we share things with. i have seen a lot of us giving away the holy things the Father has given us and then be torn down, the Lord gives you a vision of what He has for you, or wants you to do, this is a holy gift from God, and we turn around and tell someone, and then they discourage you by telling you either how hard or impossible or impractical you are being, and are allowed to steal the holy blessing the Father has planned for us. i have seen these both in and out of the church. And there are those that we share the Lord with and they then use your words to draw the life out of you; like people that do come to church and bible studies. They use the christian language to suck up to you to get favor with a christian or christian group, they use the holy words of God to consume the time of the christian and wear them down spiritually, and in turn this .tears down the holiness God has placed in us. i don't quite know how to say what i seem to know deep down inside, but i have seen christians torn down and completely worn out by people. then, (they call it witness to them) to the point they don't have the energy to do the things the Lord has given them to do. When the Lord gives someone to you to witness to i believe it is not only a joy to the one doing the witnessing but refreshing and up lifting to our souls, not a tearing down of the one doing the witnessing.

Matthew 7:7-12        Tells us that if we ask we will receive, if we seek we will find, and if we knock it shall be opened to us. Therefore what ever you want others to do for you, do so for them. In other words, if you have a need and you have $2.00 but need $20.00 then find someone that needs $2.00 and give it to them, and see what God will do for you. And then the path our journey should be on

Matthew 7:13-24        Enter by the narrow gate, for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it. For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it. Rather simple to understand, you can go the way of the majority on the broad path that allows you to live and work how ever you want to, to walk in all the sin you can muster up. Or you can take the narrow path that means you obey the Word of Father God, and then you will not be conformed by the world.

Matthew 7 15-23        Tells us that not everyone that calls themselves a Christian are Christians and that we can tell if someone is or isn't a Christian is by their fruit. Just like a thistle plant can not produce fig a non-Christian cannot produce holy fruit, they may be able to give the appearance of holy fruit but if you look close it is always rotten. And the Lord says that many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles? And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.

Matthew 7:24-27        Explains: That if we hear the Words of God and act upon them we are wise, But if we hear the Words of God and do not act upon them we are foolish.

So to sum things up, we can be foolish if we chose and follow the world and be conformed by the world, Or we can take the path that we are told is foolish in which, in truth is a wise path to take, even though we will catch a lot of grief from man. Once we reach the narrow gate we will be small enough to go through it and enter into the kingdom of the Father.

July 30th 2012

It is Monday morning was woken up with the knowing that if Father God wanted His word explained more that He would have put the bible together in a different way, could you image the size of the bible if all the explanations that are given in the church were written in it.

Just the teachings we as men come up with for one verse could be larger then the bible it’s self, and I was given the peace to just share the word, it is what Father God had put in the book how many years ago? And was excitable for teaching the Christian how to grow in the Lord for how many years? Why is it that in that it has became no longer enough? i thank we need to get back to the word and stop being concerned that it might offend someone, if you get offended or you feel guilty about something then take care of it, don’t try to smooth it over with some liberal bandage, or phrase that makes you feel better. Love doesn’t cover up the truth, love shins the light on the truth so that it may bee seen by all who will look upon it. satin likes to cover up and distort the truth he is the liar, just like liberalism, put a bandage on it so it can’t be seen and then you don’t have to deal with it, yea right.

Matthew 5 through 7 5: 3 through 11        tells us how to be blessed and what we will receive if we are, or do these things. What more encouragement doses any one need? The next 97 verses lays out how we should live to become the blessed. Now if Jesus shared in this mater and it was good then, then if someone shares in the same mater today, shouldn’t it also be good enough for today, why do we thank that we can better explain and direct people then Jesus?

It really lies with the hearer if they are going to except the truth or not, saying you’ve offended me, or your mean, or you have no love, when all they have to do is except the fact that they have sin in there lives and they need to get right with God and be forgiven and then apply the word to there lives so they can live a clean life, yes we all have sinned and fallen short but if we except the truth and ask to be for given Father God is faithful to forgive us and if we will abide in Him in His word abides in us, then we can live a Godley life filled with the blessing of God, we may not get them until we enter heaven but we will get them. i believe we will be blessed by God if we obey, during our lives here on earth.

August 2nd 2012

Haven’t written the last few days been thanking about things, Every thing happens for a reason, and it is good if you are listening for the Holy Spirit to direct. Listening for that still quiet voice and then acting upon what you hear.

We are still in Reedsport waiting for the Lord to let us know when to go on.

August 3rd 2012

Got up this morning at 4:20 and was reading, looking for where i left off reading yesterday but instead ended up in

1 Corinthians 5:9-13 9

    9. I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with the immoral people;

   10. I did not at all mean with the immoral people of the world, or with the covetous and swindlers, or with idolaters; for then you would have to go out of the world.

   11. BUT ACTUALLY I WROTE TO YOU NOT TO ASSOCIATE WITH ANY SO-CALLED BROTHER, IF HE SHOULD BE AN IMMORAL PERSON, OR COVETOUS, OR AN IDOLATER, OR A REVILER, OR A DRUNKARD, OR A SWINDLER NOT EVEN TO EAT WITH SUCH A ONE.

   12. For what do I have to do with judging outsiders? DO YOU NOT JUDGE THOSE WHO ARE IN THE CHURCH?

   13. But those who are outside, God judges. REMOVE THE WICKED MAN FROM AMONG YOURSELVES.

God judges the ones whom are not believers, but we are to judge those in the body of Christ, the word says we can tall a brother by his fruit, it takes a judgment on our part to determine if a fruit is good or bad, according to God’s word, so we as Christians need to be in the word to be able to judge properly.

And people who call them selves Christians that live a life of immorality we are to stay away from, but the outsider or nonbelievers we need to be around so that through us they may see Christ.

These shall not inherit the kingdom of heaven; fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, effeminate, homosexuals, thieves, the covetous, drunkards, revilers, swindlers non of these will inherit the kingdom of God. And we all have been or dune some if not all of these things but we were washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of Jesus Christ, and in the spirit of our God.

August 5th, 2012

We went to the Assembly of God church in Reedsport to day a small gathering of about 50 believers, the pastor shared from Revelation 2:8-11, and brought up something I had thought of about Revelation but have never heard any one say when teaching from Revelation, and that is that you can see your church in one of these churches described, and that at the same time you can see your own life as an individual in one or more of these churches, and what you as an individual needs to do to get back in line with the will of God, and that just as God removed the church of Ephesus He will remove us from His presence. He referred back to;

Revelation 2: 4, 5

     4. But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

     5. Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you, and will remove your lamp stand out of its place unless you repent,

And the pastor brought up that even to day Ephesus doesn’t have a church. So they must not have repented and their church was removed,

It dose seem to fit because if we are not willing to repent and return to our first love of Christ and fallow after Him we also will be cut of or removed from His presence.

August 7th 2012

i have been thanking about this thing called the American dream, it has always bothered me, over the years i have seen it as a trap, seems to be a distraction from the life that Father God has set for us as follower’s of Jesus, a detour from the path we should be on, we are told by the world that we need to have a big house, a car, a TV. or two, computer’s, cell phone’s, lap top’s, texting, video, cassettes, DVD, blur ray or what ever the latest thing is, boat, to travel, and it goes on and on the list is almost endless.

i keep ending up back at,

Mathew 6: 19, 20

     19. Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

     20. But instead lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal;

Matthew 6: 33      But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you.

In witch take’s me back to

Matthew 5:48        Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly father is perfect.

i truly believe that if we couldn’t be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect then we would not have been told to do so, but sense we have been told to do so i also believe that if we strive to do what we have been asked then the Holy Spirit whom Jesus sent to us, will be faithful to guide us to fulfillment.

And then

Matthew 7: 21- 24, 26

     21. Not every one who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father

     22. Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out demons, and in your name perform many miracles?

     23. And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS,

     24. Therefore every one who hears these words of Mine, and acts upon them, can be compared to a wise man,

     26. And every one who hears these words of Mine, and does not act upon them, will be like a foolish man,

It seems to me that the American dream is a hindrance to each of us as Christians,

One of the largest traps of satin,

And if we are true followers of Christ we will do as His word says, we will obey and fallow after Him and His teachings!

James 1:27        Keep your self-unstained by the world.

Romans 12:2      And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that witch is good and acceptable and perfect.

James 4:4        You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility towards God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

1John 2:15, 17

15 Do not love the world, or the things in the world. If any one loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

     16. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but from the world.

     17. And the world is passing away, and also it’s lust; but the one who dose the will of God abides forever.

So in short if you obey the word you make it to heaven if you don’t you don’t, it is your choice.

Matthew 8:13 “As you have believed”, and his servant was healed Matthew 9:2 “Seeing their faith” Your sins are forgiven

Matthew 9:22 “Your faith has made you well” and at once the women was made whole.

Matthew 9:28, 29 “Do you believe I am able to do this?” Be it done to you according to your faith”

Matthew17:20 If you have faith as a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it shall move.

Mark 11:22 “And Jesus answered saying to them, Have faith in God.

Luke 7:50 “Your faith has saved you go in peace”

Galatians 2:16 “that we may be justified by faith in Christ, and not by works”

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith

Ephesians 6:16 “Taking up the shield of faith”

1 Peter 1:5 “protected by the power of God through faith”

After reading these and the situations surrounding them, it seems that faith in God is the most important thing we can have. For by faith we will be saved our sins forgiven, by faith we will be healed, and by faith in Father God and Crist Jesus we can move mountains in our lives.

And doubting destroys our faith

August 9th 2012

Yesterday we caught Josh McDowall on the radio.

He puts to word things i have thought for years and then shares them on the radio.

Yesterday He talked about how most pastors in America won’t confront sin in the church, and will purposely over look it rather then to confront the ones doing the sinning

And then He said; Not here! Not in this church! Because we are more afraid of what God will thank of us then what the sinner thanks of us! Each and every moment of each and every day we should be not only care what Father God thanks of us but we should be afraid of offending Him, Father God is purer, with out sin, and no sin can be in His presence! So if you have unforgiven sin in your life you can not be in the presence of Father God! That means no heaven when you die! Do you know what moment of what day you will draw your last breath? Then each and every moment of each and every day we should be constantly aware of our words and actions! For no man knows the hour he will take his last breath, nor dose anyone know the hour that the Lord will return!

That is why i thank this journey is so important.

You may thank i am totally off the wall, old faction, trying to be to holy, self richest, or a number of other things, but you know what i really don’t care what you thank of me! Your opinion really doesn’t count nor dose it carry any weight on if I make it in to heaven or not; YOU ARE NOT GOD!!!!!

And i am sick of people and pastor’s saying “well yea it is in the bible but we are human, and no one can live that way now days”, how sad is that? It shows that they have no faith in God what so ever! Or “you need to tapper down what you are saying, you will offend people”. How sad when you can’t speak the truth because it will offend someone.

So let’s try these on:

Matthew 3:2 “Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand,

Mark 1:15 “the kingdom of God is at hand: repent and believe on the gospel.”

Luke 13:3 “I tell you, no, but, unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

Acts 2:38 “Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Sprit

Acts 26:20 “That they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds appropriate to repentance.

Ezekiel 18:30 “Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, each according to his conduct,” declares the Lord God. “Repent and turn away from all your transgressions, so that iniquity may not become a stumbling block to you.

i do relies there are those who will say yea but He is speaking to the house of Israel, yes He is but the bible was written for us so that we can know how to live and serve Father God and on the day of death or the day of His return to get us, so we can go and live with Him forever in Heaven, So i would rather be on the safe side and reed this as;

Therefore I will judge you, jay, according to your conduct,” declares the Lord God. “Repent and turn away from all your transgressions, so that iniquity may not become a stumbling block to you.

This is how i read the bible as if the Lord is talking directly to me and telling me what to do and not to do, like i told you in the beginning, this is not about you but you can come along if you want.

So back to; Matthew 5:13, “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how will it be made salty aging? It is good for nothing any more, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

Salt; as a mineral; It kills germs, is an abrasive, brings out the flavor of things, and heals, preserves, and is bold or outstanding in flavor. As a follower of Christ; Eliminates sin, irritation to the sinner, brings out the best in people, heals the sick and lost, keeps those whom have been salted. is bold and speaks the truth.

Matthew 5: 14, 15, 16

14. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.

15. Nor do men light a lamp, and then hide it, but put on the lampstand; and give light to all that are in the house

16 “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Luke 8:16-18 says it rather well,

16 “Now no one after lighting a lamp covers it over with a container, or put is under a bed; but he puts it on a lampstand, in order that those who come in may see the light.

17 “For nothing is hidden that shall not become evident, nor anything secret that shall not be known and come to light.

18 “Therefore take care how you listen; for whoever has, to him more shall be given; and whoever does not have, even what hw thinks he has shall be taken away from him.” Either we are to be salt to this earth and shine the light of Christ to all whom we come in contact with, or we will lose what has been given to us, and for those that think they have Christ in their lives but truly have not made the choice to ask Jesus in and asked to be forgiven and then follow Him, they will even lose even that that they thank they have (their lives).

Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall not inter the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:48 “Therefore you are to be perfect; as you’re heavenly Father is perfect.

These two have been on my mind, im not sure who or what the scribes and Pharisees were, I would thank that the scribes were the ones that wrote out the scriptures and the Pharisees were the religious leaders of that time, but what the did or how they lived their lives, im not sure of. But I do understand being perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect, God has no sin in Him, And I thank that God or our heavenly father must be more righteous the scribes and Pharisees, so I suppose that instead of spending a lot of time trying to find out how the scribes and Pharisees lived I will work on getting the sin out of my life.

Matthew 11:20-24

20 Then He began to reproach the cities, in which most of His miracles were done, because they did not repent.

21 “Wow to you, Chorazin! Wow to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles had occurred in Tyre and Sidon which occurred in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

22 “Nevertheless I say to you, it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment, then for you.

23 And you, Capernaum, will not be exalted to heaven, will you? You shall DECEND TO HADES; for if the miracles had occurred in Sodom which occurred in you, it would have remained to this day.

24 “Nevertheless I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the Day of Judgment, then for you.”

Makes me thank that sense we have the word of god and he has put record of the miracles in His word, so that we may know of them, and then there are the miracles that happen in our lives each day, but yet we do not repent of our sins, how much worse will it be for us????

James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins one to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

1Jhon 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Psalms 32:5 i acknowledged my sis to You, And my iniquity i did not hide; i said, “i will confess my transgressions to the Lord”; And You did forgive the guilt of my sins.

Confessing our sins is required, confessing one to another now days is difficult, the word says the prayers of a righteous man can accomplish much, but where can we find a righteous man, What i have seen over the years is if you share your sin with someone, then you are treated differently, and it is not forgotten by the person, and in some cases is shared with others, We eat our wounded! But it says if we confess our sins He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from unrighteousness. Sense Jesus is righteous and prays to the Father on our behalf, if we confess our sins to him, He will be faithful to forgive us and cleanse us.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

August 11th 2012

Though about Romans 10:10 and this is what i came up with. In my heart i believe: Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. He was here at creation and came to live on the earth as a human. He was crucified and died on a cross for my sins then rose again in three days. He has power over death, hell and the grave, and He is coming back for His believers one day. And that if i believe in Him i can live with Him and Father God forever, in Heaven. And by believing God is the creator, and is in control of the universe, that He is so much bigger and more powerful then i am and that He has the power to give or take life; knowing and believing this creates a healthy fear of God in me. I will follow Him and do what His word says, which will result in His righteousness growing in me. With my mouth i confess: Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died on the cross and came back to life again in three days with victory over death, hell and the grave, and whoever believes in Him and confess their sins to Him and ask for forgiveness then, they shall be saved And, by sharing the love of Jesus Christ with others, brings about salvation in my life, allowing me to live with Him forever in Heaven. I am having the feeling that we are perhaps where we should be but that we are not doing what we should be! We are not doing bad things but by not doing what we should be we are still sinning, Father God please forgive me! Back to the beginning; 1. Get ready to go. 2. Go where the Holy Spirit leads. 3. Spend time in the morning reading the word together. 4. Take a walk together, and allow the Holy Spirit to share with us. 5. Come back and write down what the Holy Spirit has shared with us. 6. Do the same thing again in the afternoon. 7. Spend two to three months just the two of us, and not be concerned with things of the world. 8. Share the love of the Lord with whomever He brings in our path to do so with. But instead it seems we are still not doing things together, and the things of the world are still holding on and controlling our lives. And it seems the biggest sin is doubt. Matthew 14:27-31 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.” 28 And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” Jesus said get rid of things and be ready to go and we did, and then He said go, and we did, and now we are out on the water, and as Peter did we have looked around at the circumstances and stuff and things what we have, but mostly what we don’t have, and have sunk! LORD SAVE US! And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of me, and said to me, “O you of little faith, why do you doubt?” Lord help my doubt to subside and my faith in you over take it! Matthew 6:31 Do not be anxious then, saying, ‘What you shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘With what shall we clothe ourselves?’ or ‘What shall we sleep on?’ or ‘What shall we cook on?’ or, or, or, or we have so many what‘s and what if’s, in which are all out of doubt. “O you of little faith, why do you doubt?” Lord help my doubt to subside and my faith in you over take it! Matthew 21:21 And Jesus answered and said to them, “Truly I say to you, if you have faith, and do not doubt, you shall not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it shall happen. This is the kind of faith in Father God and Jesus i want to have, not to move trees but to be totally dependant on the Lord for every thing i need, and to never question what or why, or be weighed down with the desires of this world, but to have a deep knowing that what ever I have need of the father will provide, when I have need of it. Lord forgive me for doubting you! Romans 14:23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin. Whatever is not from faith is sin! Whatever is not from faith is sin! WHATEVER IS NOT FROM FAITH IS SIN! WHATEVER IS NOT FROM FAITH IS SIN! i get it, every moment of every day I must have faith in Father God that He will provide all my needs, and that Jesus is not only my provider but my provision! And beyond Him I need nothing, but out of His love for us He will provide all our physical needs. Needs is a funny word to some it means a lot of new stuff, to some it means any and every thing they see that leads them to into lust, some think it is the comforts of the world. But in the Bible it says we have very few needs, We need the love of the Father! We need salvation through Jesus Christ! We need the forgiveness from the Father, through Jesus Christ! We need the leading of the Holy Spirit! We have need of food! We have need of drink! We have need of clothing! We have need of shelter! The Lord gave me a wife, for I have need of human love and companionship! Beyond all of this every thing is just extra. And can become a distraction, in which can lead to more want and the thought that a want is a need. Wants are not needs!!!! Desires are not needs!!! Lord thank you for taking care of and providing for all our needs on this journey! Why do we as Christians willingly live with sin in our lives? As a group we are so concerned about abortion, and pornography, prostitution, gays and lesbians, on and on, but yet we will live with doubt in our own lives which is just as much a sin and any of the others. i have found that if you take care of the things that we thank are small in our lives, and deal with them, that then we are not so tempted by the other things. (Faith: That leaning of the whole human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom and goodness. II Thessalonians 1:11. That’s what I want, desire and hope for Lord. Please help me Holy Spirit to exercise the little, bitty faith that I have so it may grow and mature like a mighty oak tree. Amen. Patty) (Another Side track) ((((Faith is not saying i wish, what if, why or why not. Faith has a lot to do with being thank full with what you have or for the situation you may be in, Count it all joy. If you are counting it all joy, what ever you have will be enough, and you won’t thank to say i wish, what if, or ask why or why not, you will be to busy thanking God for what you already have. i thank that is the biggest problem I have with other people, is that most people seem ungrateful about most of their lives, and when i see that in the church, or people that call themselves christians, first it makes me sad but then it dose make me mad, they just don’t get it. People will talk about how God has blessed them, then at the slightest bit of discomfort, will complain about something in their lives, maybe Father God is allowing it so they could learn something, but instead of in Joy saying thank You Father God, help me to learn what You would want me to learn from this, they moan, bitch and complain about every little thing. Why if they belong to Father God, do they have a need to complain Matthew 5 it says He knows our needs and will supply all our needs. So what is the problem? Problem ……. They are arrogant, proud, selfish, rude, inconsiderate, demanding, and really only care about themselves. And do not trust or have faith in God that He knows best for them. Witch all go’s against what the word of God says we are to be like. )))) That one doesn’t cost anything either. (13) August 12th 2012 Went to Bob’s new church today first Sunday morning service for the church. He shared out of Acts 1 and Matthew 28. The same thing I have been reading just yesterday afternoon; And Jesus came up and spoke to them, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Bob brought up that All means All, i have always thought all meant all, everything, the whole enchilada, All, All, All and have never understood how someone could thank otherwise. So Jesus has ALL authority (any questions about ALL) and has told us to go and make disciples, teaching them to observe ALL that He has commanded us. And then the real kicker He says I am with you always even to the end. Always another word like ALL, Always, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS. That’s like forever, no mater what forever and ever, He is not the one that gets off the path we are. It was a good day look forward getting to hear Bob share from Acts whether it be in person or from recordings, the church has a strong base to build from, I know the church will grow but I do pray leadership would be wise as to what they allow to go on in the body, as new people come in, with their thoughts and believes, that don’t wholly mach up to your word, help them to love nut at the same time keep them strong and bold to speak the truth against sin that comes in to the church. Amen. For I know it is better to be disliked by man then to be questioned by God. (14) August 13th 2012 Woke up at 3:am thanking about the house out of Eugene that was built in 1925 we know the daughter of the lady that lived their she passed away a couple weeks ago was 101 years old, the home has five bedrooms and a new roof but no foundation, on1 ¾ acres with a lot of garden and flowers would be nice, but I have a problem with do we need it or is it just something that i’ve always wonted so im interested, i know Father God will provide all our needs and that the cost or the fact that we have no credit and no extra moneys to pay for it, is not a problem for Him, and I don’t doubt He could work it all out for us to live there, but is that what would be His best for us? Would it become a safe place and a hiding place to be away from people? i still feel the need to be mobile but not sure what that even means any more, dues it mean to keep moving around or dues it mean to be in a position that we can get up and go at any moment, And what about Montana? Was that just a way of getting us out of Sprague River? The things the Lord has been showing me in His word are heard and to the point, not sure where i would fit in to a body of believers any more, but i never have felt that i have fitted in so what’s new.. Lord i need wisdom, direction, and understanding would be nice. i feel like my words don’t come right that i use the wrong words at times when i am trying to talk with people, i don’t wont to be wrong any more, making wrong dictions. At times i feel funny asking You for something because i don’t wont to sound ungrateful for what You have already provided for us. i want to live by faith in You, knowing that if we have something it came from You and is not something i came up with or maneuvered things around to get it, so this house if it is something that You wont in our lives You would have to work it out for there is no way we could ever do any thing on our own to get it, so if it dose happen than we would know it was from You, and if not then thank You for what You do have for us. Yesterday it was such a good seeing the young people at church, They seem so much more learned them me, makes me wonder what I could have to offer them, my mind is not what it use to be doesn’t work as fast or as clear as it before, but yet Patty seems to fit right in and has a lot to share with them. You know we came back over here and i thank i feel depressed all over aging. Was doing well until we got back to Reedsport and it started aging, Lord please take the depression away! Wow there was a whole page of my feelings, no charge! so lets go on…. The journey is still laid out ahead. Knowing what is to come,,,,,, is not as important as knowing what to do before it comes, to be able to survive when it comes. But then we need to give a definition of to survive. To Survive; 1. To not surrender the faith until the very end. 2. To make it to the narrow path that leads to the small gate, and then inter in to the kingdom of God. 3. To stand before the Father on that day and be told inter in My good and faithful servant. i am at a place in life that i wont to stand up and yell no compromise! i will not bend!, i will not fade!, i will not give in!, i will not surrender! i will fight to the end! Lord if i am seeing and understanding Your word wrong please change my view on things, but if i’m seeing and understanding it correctly, the way You intended me to please give me the boldness and the correct words to use to convey it to others you bring across my path on this journey You have us on. The Lord keeps bringing me back to Matthew 5 And opening His mouth He began teaching them, saying Blessed are; The pour in spirit, Those who mourn The gentle Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness The merciful The pure in heart The peacemakers Those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness you when men revile you, and persecute you, and say all kinds of things against you falsely, on account of Me. Not sure I really need to know and understand what each of these words mean, for either I am or I am not these things. I can’t make my self be, just need to be willing to allow the Holy Spirit move in my life to bring me to a point of being pour in spirit, mourn, gentle, hunger and thirst for righteousness, be merciful, have a pure heart, be a peacemaker, and I don’t need to worry about the blessings that will come after these things have been worked out in my life the Lord said they will come so that is good enough for me, i trust Him. i like this part; Rejoice and be glad for your reward in heaven is great, Consider it all joy i really like these two verses, we have no reason to not have joy or be glad, we belong to Lord Jesus and through Him Father God what is their not to have joy about, we do as we are told in the bible and we get to live with Father God forever, why should we get uptight or bummed out over anything that happens in our life’ between now and eternity if Father God is in control. It is all to get us to that small gate. i know i seem to be consumed with the small gate but i thank we should be, it seems to be rather important, like we cant go around it to get in to heaven. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit and get the word of God in to our lives we become as light as He is light, and we had better not hide the light, we need to allow the Holy Spirit to lead our lives on the path the Lord has set out before us, and join in to the race. The Lord says that not even one of the smallest letter or stroke shall pas away from the Law, until all is accomplished! And Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and so teaches others, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. i’m not one that is looking for power or greatness but i also do not look to be one of the least, so my conclusion is, just do what i’m told and obey the word of the Father. Do not commit murder! Do not be angry with a brother! Do not call a brother good for nothing of a fool, unless i want to go to hell. So going to next page, is retake step one! Growth can be heard. (15) Staying on track And again let me remind you this is my journey not yours! But you are welcome to come along. August 14th, 2012 As the journey goes forward due to, (well it’s none of your business), we are starting over. So let’s go back to James 1:2-8. James 1:2-4 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials; knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. 5-8 But if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts, is like the surf of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not, that man expect that he will receive anything from the Lord. Reading this again, I am reminded to count all things joy, for if we are to count our trials as joy then why would we not count the rest of our time on earth as joy every moment of every day, and for this reason why are we in such a condition most of the time we do not have joy? SO get out of your woe is me and be joyful. It is our choice to be joyful or not! Joy doesn’t mean you go around with a smile on your face 24/7 but to be joyful is to know who you are in Christ and be at peace with who Father God made you to be and that you belong to Father God. Allow Him to be in total control, at all times, in every situation of every day. Know that He WILL take care of ALL His followers NEEDS, and to except it and to be at peace with that truth. And for what we do not understand we have been told to ask for wisdom and Father God will freely give wisdom to those that ask Him for it. So this day and from this time forth, we will ask for wisdom at each turn, or stopping moment of this journey, without doubt that Lord Jesus will go to Father God on our behalf, and knowing without doubt He will meet our every need. Needs refer to Matthew 6:24-34 Not only tell us what our true worldly needs are, but that Father God will not only meet our needs but that He knows of them before we ever ask Him for them, and it shows us that He will and is faithful to supply those needs, just as He has done for His other creations. We are going now to walk on the beach, could be gone all day don’t know. (16) August 15th 2012 Read James 1:9-18 James 1:9+10 But let the brother of humble circumstances glory in his high position; and let the rich man glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away. I think the brother of humble circumstances can glory in his position because he doesn’t have the stuff and things that the rich man does and by not having all the stuff the brother of humble circumstances is freer to spend time with the Lord and is also more apt to depend on the Lord to meet his needs, which can bring him closer to the Lord. The rich man normally gets caught up with the prestige of position associated with wealth and has not time for the Lord and becomes dependent on the position and the stuff and things then on the Lord. 14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. i have always heard lust being referenced to as lusting after a women, but i think someone can have lust for any thing, from a women to a object seen in a commercial, and will turn in to sin, and then death by separation from God. i knew a group of men that lusted after football. Then the lust got to the point that they even had to watch it in church, so as soon as the morning service was over and most of the congregation had left the game went on the overhead, and it got to the point that when the BIG game was on service ended early and the game went on, and one thing led to another, and the door had been opened and sin was allowed in the church. 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Deception is all around us take any add or commercial now days and if you truly listen to their words and look at what they are trying to sell you, it is not that hard to see and hear the deception, but how many times do we get sucked in to purchasing something to improve or better our lives just to find out we don’t fell any better, and just end up with more stuff setting around collecting dust. The deception calls on our lust to respond, lust after things of the world that are supposed to fulfill our lives, but in reality do nothing more then be a distraction to us from what Father God has for us. 17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of light, So i say if we are to lust then let us lust after the things of the Father, not the things of the earth. (17) August 16th 2012 Heard a wise man this morning say church should be a place where we teach the Word by sharing what the Lord put in His word and the only explanation we need to give is the explanation He put in His word, and the only thing else we need to add is if He put in an explanation for the explanation. In other words don’t add to what the Lord has said, don’t expand the Word of God to make the point you want made , let the Word of God stand on its own and move lives. This is the way I have always looked at and tried to apply the Word of God to my own life and have always take it as if Father is talking to me, i guess my question would be if there was a person stranded on an island and all he had was a Bible could the Word of the Father get him saved, brought to a point of salvation? i think so! We don’t need someone to over explain the Word of God. We need to apply the Word to our lives and our lives to the Word. In doing so we will become true followers of the Lord, for once we have asked Jesus in to our lives He gives us the Holy Spirit to lead, and guide us we will find the verse that says,” If anyone lacks wisdom let him ask.” What more do we need but the Word of God and wisdom to understand it, and Father God has and will give us both. And I think that is the way I’ll start writing so… James 1:19-27 Be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; The anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God Get ride of all filthiness and all that is wicked, and be humble and receive the Word of God and allow it to be implanted in my life, so that my soul may be saved. Don’t just hear or read the Word of God do what it says, do as you are told! Apply the Word to our lives by adapting our lives to the Word. Don’t think you’re self as being religious, with out bridling the tongue, or our heart will be deceived and our religion will be worthless. The pure and undefiled religion in the sight of Father God is to; visit orphans and widows in their distress and keep one’s self unstained by the world. So in short I need to read the Word and then change my life to match up to what the Word of God says. (18) August 17th, 2012 James 2: 1-13 Favoritism – showing partiality between people. 8, 9 and 10 say the royal law according to the Scripture is “you shall love your neighbor as yourself” and to do so you are doing well. But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as a transgressor. And that if you keep the whole law but yet stumble in even one point, you become guilty of all. 13 For judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment. This is very interesting to me it seems that if we live our lives showing mercy to others, we will be shown mercy come the judgment. Mercy: to show compassion to others, being kind when others are not being kind to us, to not return evil with evil but instead with kindness, to not show favoritism to any one, but to treat all persons with honor and respect. Luke 10:34, 35 God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right, is welcome to Him. What more needs to be said? Fear God, and treat all man equally, showing mercy to all! (19) August 18th, 2012 James 2:14-26 Faith with out works is dead; Saying i have faith and not stepping out on or in that faith means nothing, When God said sell or give every thing away and be ready to go, follow Me, i could have said i have faith in God that He will supply all our needs and gotten rid of everything and stayed right where we were, been ready to go but done nothing. By stepping out when we didn’t know where, and going as Father God directed and trusting He would do as He has told us, then that is faith being walked out in our lives. And by doing so our faith in Him becomes stronger, in which makes it easier each time He directs to do as He asks. Faith without works is useless, just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead. (Side thought: It isn’t the heart attack that kills the body, but when the spirit leaves the body, then the body is dead. (20) August 19th 2012 James 3:1-12 The tongue; Let not many of you become teachers, knowing that as teachers we shall incur a stricter judgment. Then goes on to talk about the tongue, it seems that the tongue can bring you down quicker then anything for the tongue is restless evil and full of deadly poison. Out of the mouth so the heart speaks, We can destroy our blessings by our speech, for when we speak badly or negatively about something we are condemned, and when Father God gives us direction and then we speak negatively about what He has shared with us, i thank we loose faith. When we come in contact with others we either bring peace or turmoil into their lives, a kind word can change a persons day, and going back to August 17, James 2:1-13 We should treat all men the same, greet each man with a joyful and peaceful greeting. 11, 12 A fountain can not produce good and bad water out of the same opening, And a fig tree can not produce olives nor a vine produce figs, neither can salt water produce fresh. Have thought about and prayed about this and it looks to me that no, we can’t tame our tongues but we sure better be trying. The Lord reminded me of my youth; after reading the Bible when i was 17 i made a choice to stop swearing and did, but I still said bull shit a lot, and 38 years later it still comes out once in a while. It seems our wills are a strong force, and if we will to do something we can make it happen, and by putting our wills in line with the will of the Father all things are possible. For if our will is in line with the Fathers will our faith will be humongous, and our love for one another will be outstanding. Matthew 19:26 with God ALL things are possible. Luke 18:27 the things impossible with man are possible with God. i may not be able to bridal my tongue but by going to the Father, through Jesus Christ, with the help of the Holy Spirit, God can, and i believe that if we go to the Father with a true desire to have a honorable tongue Father God will direct the Holy Spirit to guide us in that direction. BUT we have to do our part by being sure we listen and obey when the Holy Spirit directs, having faith that He will do the work in us, by living as if He already has done the work in us. (21) August 20th, 2012 James 3:13-18 A wise man how has understanding will be known by his good behavior and his deeds of gentleness. But if you have jealousy and self ambition in your heart, you will become arrogant and lie against the truth, this seems like wisdom but is not, it comes from an earthly or worldly point of view, demonic. And if we have jealousy and selfish ambition exists in us, there is disorder and every evil thing. SO then, STAY AWAY FROM JEALOUSY AND SELFISH AMBITION! Wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering without hypocrisy. (22) August 21st 2012 The love of money is the root of all evil, and lust seems is the cause of war, murder and envy, fighting and quarreling. James 4:1-10 4:1 The source of quarreling and conflicts; is your lust. Lust is wanting and 4:2-3 says we do not have because we do not ask, and we ask but do not receive because we ask with wrong motives, we ask for our own pleasure. James 4:4 You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. God is jealous of the spirit He made that dwells in us, this spirit needs to be set toward Father God not the world and the things the world offers. Pride takes us away from God and we think we can do it with out God. God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble. So submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. 8 says; Cleanse your hands, you sinner; and purify your heart, you double- minded To be friends with the world is to be friends with the devil. Looks like we are back to stuff and things again, for the world says we need all the stuff and things, but Father God says we have need of food, clothing and shelter. And that He knows our needs and will provide our needs, but when we desire more (lust after) we are turning our backs on God and putting our faith and trust in the world, the devil. We need to resist the devil and all that he has to offer us in this world. And draw near to God who will provide all our needs. And in all ways we are to be free from the world and from the things of the world, we need to humble ourselves in the sight of Father God and He will exalt us. He will provide what we need when we need it, when we try and maneuver things and people to get what we think we need or what we want (lust after) then we are being proud thinking we can do it without God but in reality we are not just turning our backs on God but turning towards the devil. (23) August 22nd 2012 James 4:11, 12 Do not speak one against another, brethren. He who speaks against a brother, or judges his brother, speaks against the law, and judges the law; but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge of it. There is only one lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you who judge your neighbor? Who are we to judge? God is the only judge, so if we are judging our fellow believers (brothers) then we are saying we are the judge; we are as wise and pure as God, trying to present our self as the same as Father God. If we accept the law from the Father and out of our fear and respect for the Father do the law, we won’t have the time or the spirit to be judging others. James 4: 13-17 Arrogant pride get us to say today or tomorrow, we will do this or we will do that, but we do not know what will happen tomorrow much less the rest of this day, our life is like a vapor, hear one moment and gone the next. What we should be saying, if anything is, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and also do this or that.” But our boasting in our arrogance is evil. 17; Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do, and does not do it, it is sin. Makes it rather simple Resist the devil and he will flee from you, Draw near to God in humility and He will draw near to you. We are to live our lives in humility at all times. This is pleasing and acceptable to God. (24) August 23rd 2012 James 5:1-6 1-3 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries which are coming upon you. Your riches have rotted and your garments have become moth-eaten. Your gold and your silver have rusted; and their rust will be a witness against you and will consume your flesh like fire. It is in the last days you have stored up your treasure! ((“As i read this it brought to mind all the ads to purchase gold and silver that have been out there over the last several years, and how many people have bought in to them, i do understand that the consent of man is that silver and gold are good investments but then that is the consent of man, and the ways of man are not the ways of God! i have even heard it said, “by purchasing gold and silver i can support missions” that’s between you and the Father, but i don’t see how by gold or silver purchasing helps a missionary when the gold and silver are not sold and the moneys or the gold and silver given to the missionary. Trusting in God or your own thoughts, the ways of man are but foolishness to God.” A freebee)) Riches will be a stumbling block for a lot of people calling themselves Christians, when judgment day comes and they realize their gold and silver is useless, it won’t get them into heaven they will weep and howl. 4-6 Behold the pay of the laborers who mowed your fields, and which have been withheld by you; and the outcry of those who did the harvesting has reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. You have lived luxuriously on the earth and let a life of wonton pleasure; you have fattened your heart in a day of slaughter. You have condemned and put to death the righteous man; he does not resist you. ((Not to be bragging on my own accomplishments, but only as an example, for with out the leading from the Holy Spirit none of what was accomplished could have been accomplished! For as you can see my life is nothing special within its self. Over the years I have started several businesses, because of the leading of the Holy Spirit have always felt that my employees should make close to if not more then i make. For the business were not for my gratification or my security but a means of God providing for my family and the families of the employees. Each business was not a success as the world looks at success, we didn’t store up a large retirement for our future but as for a time the business not only provided the needs of our family but also the needs of the employees. i have been very wealthy as far as money, gold and silver, and I have been very poor, both in the sight of man. My hearts desire is to be wealthy in the sight of Father God for i would rather be destitute in the sight of man then in the sight of God. Gold and silver will not protect you in the days of wrath to come!)) (25) August 24th 2012 James 5: 7-11 Be patient, therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains. You also, be patient; strengthen your heart, for the coming of the Lord. Do not complain, brethren, against one another, that you yourself may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing right at the door. As an example, brethren, of suffering and patience, take the profits who spoke in the name of the Lord. Behold we count those blessed who endured. You have heard the endurance, of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful. ((Don’t worry about gold and silver, be patient and wait for the Lord to meet your needs, Being patient makes your heart stronger, for the time the Lord returns. Consider all things as joy.)) (26) August 25th, 2012 James 5: 12 But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either buy heaven or by earth or with any other oath; but let your yes be yes, and your no, no; so that you may not fall under judgment. We have no need to take an oath to say that what we are saying is true if we are always telling the truth, if our yes means yes and our no means no. Matthew 5: 37 Let your statement be ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no’; and anything beyond these is of evil. James 5: 13-18 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him Therefore, confess your sins one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The affective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. The righteous man - to be righteous i believe is the key; to be righteous is to be perfect, to be holy, Matthew 5: 48 Therefore you are to be perfect, as you’re heavenly Father is perfect. Prayer offered in faith will restore the one, who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. So if our faith is in Father God when we pray He will heal the sick and forgive sin. Rather simple all we need to do is put our faith in God!! And stop trusting in our own understanding, stop trusting our own judgment, stop putting our faith and trust in the things of this world, deny our self and follow Him. 19-20 to turn one from having the wrong beliefs, from the error of his way will save his soul from death, and will cover a multitude of sins. When we confess our sins and Father God forgives us of our sins from that time back they are covered, and from that time forth we should live holy righteous lives. (27) August 26th 2012 To recap what i have seen - come to understand, drawn-out, and received from the Holy Spirit about James: As i have been thinking about James and how James correlates with Matthew, Psalms, Proverbs, and so many more verses. It seems that as a true follower of Christ, one has to trust Father God to meet all needs, and should treat each brother as an equal, not judge the people of the world but judge the brothers by their fruits. But the main thought i received has been that if we do not have faith in Christ and Father God and listen to the Holy Spirit we have nothing, no stability and no security, and no pure purpose in life. Without Faith, Trust, Belief anchored in the Creators of life we have nothing, no hope. Without these we are lost; and are doomed to spend eternity in hell. 1. Consider all of life joy, what ever comes into our small space of time (lives) whether trials for testing, or good times for peace, we should consider it joy for it is for our benefit and growth in Christ, and to bring each of us closer into His presence. 2. i need to ask Father God for wisdom; in each and every thing i do, whether a large task or a small task, whether a trial or in peace, asking the Father for wisdom gives me a better chance of doing things right or the right thing. 3. When asking the Father for something i need first to make sure my motives for asking are right. 4. And when i speak with the Father i need to do it without doubt in my heart or mind, knowing that Father God will answer my prayer, Whether i like His answer or not. To not doubt i need to know who i am in Lord Jesus, except that, knowing that Father God can and will give and take as He see fit in my life, accepting that He is in control not me, He knows best for me. Putting all trust and faith in Him, accept every moment of every day, as a blessing from Him, whether a trial or a blessing He has allowed it into my life, as good for me. 5. Being (as the word says) of humble circumstances is something to glory in and is a high position. This brings us to a better position in life for it causes us to depend on the Father rather then ourselves, stuff and thing. Silver and gold will not sustain our lives. Only my trust and faith in Lord Jesus will do that. 6. It is my own lust for things that causes me to fall short of what the Lord has for my life, and leads me in to sin. 7. Every good thing and perfect gift that comes in to my life is from Father God, It was brought to mind Job and that the trials and temptations did not come directly from the Father but were allowed to happen by the Father for Job’s good and as a sign of the grace and wonderful goodness of the Father to those around Job, and to build upon the faith Job already had in the Father. And that good things and perfect gifts don’t always come in the form of a nice shinny package; sometimes they show up covered with muck and thorns. i have looked at death and prayed; thank you Lord for this life and thank you for the opportunity to go home. For even the death of the body is a perfect gift, the gift of going home to be with the Father. And that brings all things back to James 1:2 consider it all, ALL, ALL, ALL as joy All, a small word that caries a large treasure. All means all, everything inclusive. 8. (L) To be quick to hear. To hear others as they speak, to hear the words they say and the emotions of what they are saying. This gives us a better understanding of what they are truly saying. (O) To be slow to speak, when someone is speaking refer back to step (L) be quick to hear, and once you understand what someone is truly trying to say and only after the person has finished then speak, without preconceived ideas, Let the Holy Spirit direct your tongue. (V) Slow to anger, the Holy Spirit showed me that by being quick to hear and slow to speak a lot of relationships would not have as much anger in them. But because we are so determined to get a thought across or our opinion stated we step on the other person, and we fell stepped on because the other person is doing the same thing, And that it grieves Him when this takes place because at that time neither person is listening to Him either. (E) Anger of man, comes from self, self riches, self pleasure, selfishness and these things in me or erupting out of me does not, cannot will not achieve the righteousness of God in my life or others around me. And the Holy Spirit showed me that I have two different angers that well up in me, one being when I think I have been wronged, this leads to death, and one when the church is defying the Word of God, and this should lead to new life. In Matthew 12:12- 13 when Jesus entered the temple and turned over the tables and called them thieves, He was angry, but yet He did not sin, for His anger came from His heart for the disobedience, greed, wickedness and lack of respect towards the Father by the people. 9. 1:21 say’s “Therefore putting aside ALL filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted”. Putting aside; to remove from self, to pick up and move out of way. We are being told to put aside, as when reading these two words I could see the remaining residue of sin in my life, in which is filthiness to the Lord and it hit me that it is my responsibility to purposely put aside, to purposely remove it from my life. First response to that was, “It’s too big I can’t do it”, and we had a little conversation. The Holy Spirit said, “Too big or too hard? … Too hard! …. Too hard or to uncomfortable?” …. And i knew i had to ask for help to have the want to, to recognize every area of my life that needs to be cleaned and then in humility ask for help in cleaning house. But I have to do my part first by removing the things I am aware of that need to go, for it is my will that either keeps them there or takes them and puts them aside. The filthiness that remains from sin is like taking a filter and pouring dirty water through it and the taking out the bigger pieces but not cleaning the filter and then you keep pouring liquid through but it doesn’t go through as smooth or quickly as when it was clean, the big chucks are the sin and the residue left clinging to the filter is the filthiness left behind. And when i went to the Lord and asked to have sin removed from my life i held onto the residue, so as the Holy Spirit is trying to teach and guide me i see all things through that residue, so the need is there to clean the filter, put aside the filth so that I can see and do the things the Lord has commanded, with no blockage. By doing this my heart, my life will also open wide for the Spirit to flow freely through my life. 10. As things are removed and the flow starts to happen then the becoming a doer of the Word will become easer and a swifter current will flow. 11. To visit orphans and widows in their distress. When I first read this my thoughts were oh, ok, we need to go and spend time with orphans and widows, but then one morning waking up the thoughts came to me, We are a family grafted into the family of God. A non-believer is an orphan not part of the family and has no family of his own. A widow is like someone that was part of the family and has wandered off, not denying the Lord but separated from communication with God. And the distress comes from having known the Lord but knowing that something is wrong, like they know they lost something but are not sure what or where. And it seems that we as Christians should in compassion visit (share the truth) with them all. 12. i am not to base my faith in the Lord, on the premise that i am something special, that the Lord did what He did because i was worthy, or that without me His work couldn’t be done. i am nothing special i can be replaced. But at the same time He came to earth and hung on a cross for me. Need to recognize the balance and then live within that balance. The window was opened, the switch was turned on, the light shined bright; the most detrimental things to the life of a believer is a weak faith, doubt, and a bad attitude. The one thing in life: have the proper view of ones self and attitude towards Jesus. 13. To not treat one man different then another. The rich man is no better then the poor man, we are all sinners. When we pay special attention to one over the other, it shows our lack of character in Christ, and the greed in our heart, for it is done to receive something. It also shows our lack of brotherly love, and stupidity and lack of understanding on our part for it is the rich that oppress us. Normally what happens when even a brother is rich or thinks himself so, the riches cause other things to become temptation and the love of money steps in to play. But the poor man, if a believer, has faith in God that runs deep, in which causes his love for the Father to be strong. 14. The most important law from the Father is “You shall love your neighbor as your self”. i see this causing a lot of turmoil in a lot of people today, whether they realize it or not. Most people aren’t aware of what they truly feel, why they feel the way they do, or why they react or respond the way they do. But most people don’t know who they are much less love themselves. For to truly love ones self one needs to know ones self, and what we see today is not a love of ones self but rather a love for ones self. The differences being if you have a love for someone you will do for them, so the person ends up doing everything for themselves, but a love of ones self is to say i am at peace with whom Father God made me and at that point are free inside to love others in the same way. 15. When we show partiality one from another we sin. Side note: when Adam and Eve were created they had no sin. So how can we sat this is human nature? It is fallen nature. i see human nature as an excuse for a lot of things we do that are sin. It is like it gives one the excuse or right to sin. Anyhow, sin is sin and even if we are involved in only one sin we are still guilty of sinning. 16. i (we are) am to speak and act as the ones who will be judged by the law and show mercy to all for without mercy we will be judged and judged hard. 17. When i got to James 2:14 the Holy Spirit said “Pay attention! And hear My words!” “If one says he has faith, that doesn’t mean he has true faith in the Father. If he has no works in his life for the Father, he has no faith in the Father, and his faith will not save him. Scary thought. Do i set my faith in myself and my stuff or other men or the things of this world? If my faith is set in the Father I will be doing work for the Father or of the Father as He directs me. If I should refuse to work, or am slack at the work why should I expect to be paid at the end of the job? If i don’t do the work or do a bad job at the work of the Father why should I expect to receive any reward at the end???? If nothing else was known of the end time, the day of going home to be with the Father; to hear Him say either, “depart from me for I never knew you, or enter in my beloved! “If nothing else was known this should be all we need to do the work of the Father. For faith without works is like birthing with out air, or swimming with out water, or eating with out food, for we are justified by our works, not by faith alone. Life is sustained by the air we breathe not the motions of breathing. But with out the motion of breathing we can not get the air into our lungs, so as both breathing and the air keep us functioning so faith in the Father and works for the Father keep our spirit alive. James 2:26 For, just as the body with out the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead. (((( Faith with out works is dead! )))) 18. We all stumble; we all do what is sin at times, make bad judgments, say bad things, have wrong motives, sin but we have no real excuse for this. For if we have faith in the Father, and the Son, if we give our lives to Him, and allow Him to but His bit in our mouth to lead us, and as we obey His lead, His words, we will be made holy, perfect as He is perfect as we are commanded in Mathew 5:48 ”Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” An easy thing to do with our self will, NO, but by giving our will over to the Father, YES. For as our will comes in line with His will any thing is possible, say to that mountain be removed and it is. Is it easer to move a physical mountain or to change the will of a human? 19. The purpose for asking the Father for wisdom isn’t for knowledge As much as it is to be pure and have peace, be merciful with good fruits, unwavering without hypocrisy. Wisdom from the Father is pure, peaceable, gentle, reasonable, and full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering without hypocrisy, Wisdom is righteousness and peace. By asking and receiving wisdom from the Father, the wisdom of the Father is pure, peace, gentleness, but, will pushes jealousy, and self ambition, arrogance out of our lives. The sign of not having the wisdom from the Father in us is self pride, quarreling, conflicts, brought forth from us seeking our own pleasure, for when we seek our own pleasure we fall in to lust. Lusting after things rather then the Father separates us from the Father. So we are to be humble, submitting to the will of the Father, obey His every word, and draw near to Him. So we need to cleanse or get rid of all sin we can, and ask Him to get the rest, and as we are obedient to Him and willing for Him to, He will. We can not do it on our own, or in our own power it takes power from the Father. 20. i will be judged in the same manner i judge others. And so should not speak against a brother or judge a brother, but yet at the same time we are told not to judge the nonbelievers, that is God’s responsibility not ours, we are not to judge them but we are to judge a brother, by the fruits of his life. And we are also told that we will be judged in the same way. A thought, i was just in my other office (the truck) and this came to me from nowhere. Is it your spirit that sins against Father? Or, is it the life that the body gleans from the Spirit in the body that rebels against Father? For when the Spirit leaves the body the body is dead. And if the body becomes corrupt then also the Spirit will become corrupt. i thank i believe this is so for if the life given to the body is that that sins against God and not the Spirit in us, but once our will has been so turned against the Father, then the Spirit the Father has given us become corrupt. Just as satan is a spirit and became corrupt against the Father, so our spirit if we give in to the world’s ways. We need to give back to the Father the Spirit and the life it enables in our bodies back to Him, putting the Father first and in control of our lives: Having the faith in Him that He knows and has the best for us. Hmm just as His Word say’s He is and will. But lord if I am wrong in any of this please show me,,,,,, if it really matters. Another passing thought; i eat because i am unsatisfied, in the past month i have gained 30 lbs. Almost four years ago when we left Reedsport in 2008 i had reached 363 lbs, on July 3rd was 303 lbs, but by August 4th 283 lbs, and now 25 day’s later 313 lbs, the key difference in my life contentment, being content July 3rd to August 4th i was not only eating less, but not feeling the need to eat, was spending more time in the Word, and more time with my wife, and starting August 4th became unsatisfied again feeling again lost in the world without a purpose. i do not and never have liked Eugene but am so looking forward to being there. Thinking of it brings contentment, and a feeling of satisfaction. 21. If I know what is right and do not do it then I have sinned against the Father, and one sin is no more condemning then another. 22. It is not right to withhold from a brother, his wages, or what we can offer to supply if he is in need. Neither gold nor silver can or would ever save your soul. Only Father God can save your soul through the sacrificing blood of Jesus, and your acceptance of that fact with out doubting asking Him into your life and giving your entire being into HIS HANDS. 23. i need to be patient until the coming of the Lord. For when i am not patient is when things get messed up. And i end up not trusting and having faith in Jesus and Father God. 24. I am not to complain about a brother, so that I may not also be judged. And I am to endure as Job endured even though he lost all worldly positions and family. He chose to give praise to and worship the Father, who holds all things in His hand, and not only gave back to Job but abundantly gave back to him that which he had lost and more. 25. Should not take or make an oath, and should not swear an oath in any thing. And when an answer is required, to either answer with a YES or a NO all other added words are a sin and will fall under judgment. 26. In suffering we are to pray and in joy we are to sing praises. This is important or it wouldn’t have been put in there. 27. If you are sick, go to the elders of the church to be anointed with oil and prayed for. And if the prayer is offered in faith then it will restore the one who is sick, and if he has committed sin the Lord will lift him up and forgive his sin. ? A. So why do we have so many sick people in the church, a. we don’t ask to be prayed for? b. the elder has no faith? c. or is it that the elder is not a righteous man? ? B. So why do we have so much sin in the church, a. is it because we do not believe what Christ has told us? b. is it because we will not confess our sin’s one to another to be prayed for? ? C. So why won’t we confess our sins one to another? 1. is it because we don’t trust God? 2. or is it because we can’t trust man? a. Is it that we can not trust man because men do not forgive each other’s sins and uses them against one another? b. Or that we just don’t believe what the Lord has told us? 3. or is it that we see the unrighteousness of our brothers? The answer to all of this is; If you are sick go to the elders, be anointed with oil and prayed for, have faith, believing with out doubt that the Lord will heal you. He will. Go to your brother in the church and ask to be prayed for that your sin may be forgiven. Pray for one for another that the whole body may all be healed. i believe we can also pray for our land and our country and have it saved and provided for. Just like Elijah prayed for no rain and it didn’t rain and then prayed for rain and it rained. What is our problem??? A LACK OF COURAGE TO DO AS THE WORD OF GOD HAS INSTRUCTED US TO BE AND TO DO! THAT’S WHAT I HAVE COME TO UNDERSTAND ANYHOW! i THINK THAT’S WHY IT SEEMS SO IMPORTANT TO ME TO FIND THE NARROW PATH THAT LEADS TO THAT SMALL GATE. James 5:16 says “The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” I have to be righteous not in my sight or using my scale but in the sight of the Lord and by His standards. And that takes me right back to November 2011 when the Lord woke me up at 2: am and said, “be holy as I am holy,” in which actually started this whole adventure. Matthew 5: 48 says, “You are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. And several other places the Word tells us to be like God, not to be God, or be a god, but to be like God. Father God is; holy, righteous, true and upright, caring, merciful, a provider, trustworthy, forgiving, wise, and just these are just some of the words that describe Father God. i want be available to Him and allow Him to accomplish each of them in my life, so that when someone needs prayer, my prayers will be answered and they will be healed. This is my strongest desire, that I would be a righteous man of God. And i know full well that i fall way short of that. But to get on and stay on that narrow path to that small gate i am willing to be put down made fun of and be ridiculed, even by the church. James 5: 19-20 Really upsets me inside, “My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth, and one turns him back; let him know that he who turned a sinner from the err of his way will save his soul from death, and will cover a multitude of sins. Because of James 5:13-16 the effective prayer of a righteous man will heal and cause the Father to forgive sin. If i as a brother have wandered from the truth of God, by the prayer of a righteous man i can be turned back to the truth. So also if I m a righteous man can pray for others and they too can be turned back to the truth. That is what each of us should be about doing, the world is full of people that have gone and are going to church that have no real interest in knowing God much less to do His will and if the prayers of a righteous man can change that, then i suppose it is up to me to be righteous and live a righteous life, so that when I pray God will answer. i think that for so many years we have been lured into a belief or life style that we go to church hear the Word and go home knowing that the pastor will get the job done and all will be saved, and healed but I have come away with one question. WHAT IS MY PART?????? WHERE DO i FIT INTO THE WILL AND PLAN OF GOD??????? And last November i began to understand; Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect! i didn’t see why the church had a problem with that, at the time i was so caught up in the wonder and simplicity of it that i couldn’t understand why it caused such a negative ripple around me when i shared what i had come to understand. Today i have come to understand that when we are comfortable with a self centered or selfish way of life; when we are living our lives in this manner the truth is a threat and a burden to us, because it causes us to have to move from our self centered self gratifying life, to a life of living for the benefit of others, for their good and their wellbeing. And the only way to be effective doing this is to be like our heavenly Father. So now that i have gotten this far on the journey i would like to take some time and get lost, but the Lord said “That is not in my personality! When I start something I finish it! I will not break your will! If you will to stop you may stop, but if you wish to continue on the path to my gate, know I AM with you to the end.” Seek MY direction and I will guide you. So i am asking for direction and will be waiting on the Lord for further direction. Have a blessed day That is to say if you are not a believer in Christ find Him and be saved, If you are a believer in Christ, find Him and you will be saved For this is the greatest blessing of all. "Be ye holy as I am holy and while MY mercies are still with you present your body a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to ME, this is to be your service of worship and DO NOT be conformed to this world. You are to be perfect, as your Father in heaven is perfect." And for those that are watching our physical trip we left Klamath i believe it was the 1st of July, thought we were going north but the Lord took us south and then up the Oregon coast. Patty and i both really like living on the coast but due to health and the climate we both can’t live here, it takes about two days and we are miserable. We got to Reedsport on the 19th of July and have been here since. This time has been good we have gotten to spend time with the kids have taken the boy’s fishing, and even got to go fishing with Daniel (first time in many years) we didn’t catch anything but got to spend time together and that was good, have gotten to talk with the kids and spent almost four hr’s talking with Katy. A Few weeks ago got an email from Bob Langfield our pastor for years, to let us know they were going to be starting a new church in Eugene, Oregon and asked what we were doing? We couldn’t make it to their first meeting, but made it to the first service the next Sunday,,,,, not too long of a storey but, will get right to the point. We have been offered a place to park our home in Eugene and the opportunity to be helping Bob and Julie at the church. Scary but what a blessing to be able to be set under understandable teaching and to be around and spend time with such wise and Godly people, these next steps down the narrow path should be big ones. We may never make it to Montana, but the Lord said, “Follow Me”, so if the Lord is willing for us to get to Montana He will work that out, but for now we will be in Eugene, which ifs fine. The teaching is outstanding—the Word of God and just the Word of God. Eugene, this is the next stop along the way, another step along the journey, and even though we may be parked the journey is still going forward, for the true journey seems to be in our hearts and minds, the journey advances as we come closer to being saturated in the Lord’s will. (28) Moving forward September 3rd 2012 Matthew 7:13 Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it. For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it. Matthew 7: 21 “Not every one who says to Me, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father Who is in Heaven.” Matthew 7:26 “And every one who hears these words of Mine, and does not act upon them, will be like a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand.” And in Matthew chapter 8 these words stuck out as I read; “Great faith”, “as you have believed”, “Why are you timid, you men of little faith?” Matthew chapter 9 “Seeing their faith; your sins are forgiven”, “knowing their thoughts”, “I desire compassion, and not sacrifice.”, “your faith has made you well”, “Do you believe I am able to do this?”, “Be it done to you according to your faith.” It is by faith in Christ Jesus that will bring us to His narrow path leading to His small gate. And by faith we are made well, and by faith our sins are forgiven, As i believe in, and what i come to believe of Jesus, and the depth of my faith in Him, gives Him the ability to do things in my life, such as healing my body, both physical and spiritual, faith also gives or allows Him the power, ability, and authority to do so as He wills. Just because i call Him Lord, when the words are coming out of my mouth they mean nothing if i do not have faith in Him, and only when i come to Him in that faith believing without doubt, that He is able to accomplish all things in and through my life. Through my faith in Him, He is able to do so and save my soul from damnation. Faith with doubt is sin; faith without doubt is salvation and wellness. Belief is as to faith as faith is to belief. If in my heart, my soul, i truly believe in the Lord Jesus Christ I will have faith in Him, and as i believe and trust in Him my faith will grow. Perhaps someday i can say to that mountain be removed to the sea and it will be removed, by the time I get to that point I will also know if He wanted it in the sea He would have put it their already. For there is a feeling deep inside of me that says to truly know and have a large faith in Christ will set me free from all that I think is suppose to be and I will be able to look and depend totally on Him and His direction in my life, for He is my provider, but He is also my provision. There is nothing i need but to be one with Him, to accept His teachings and live my life according to His Word and will choosing to not sin against Him in anyway. By doing this I can hear Him say enter into that small gate that leads to life, but if I don’t have faith I will only find the wide gate and be told depart from me for I never knew you. And He says the choice is mine. (29) September 4th 2012 Today i read a lot in Proverbs, and over and over it says seek wisdom and understanding, wisdom is compared to gold and understanding to silver, and both wisdom and understanding have much more value then silver and gold. So i ask the Lord for wisdom and for understanding again, and think i shall each day. The wisdom that I learned in school was not the wisdom of God but the wisdom of man and the understanding gained from school was from the understanding of man. And both are empty and seem to be vanity. But the wisdom from the Father is truth and the understanding from the Father is security and strength to my soul. The ways of man are not the ways of the Lord, the thoughts of man are not the thoughts of the Lord, and the plans of man are not the plans of the Lord. Seek first the kingdom of God and His understanding, Seek and you shall find. I might not write any thing for a couple days we are moving to Eugene today, if the Lord allows. (30) September 5th 2012 The thought ran through my mind why we are not healed and about faith and doubt. A few days ago the Holy Spirit showed me about faith and that without faith we have no hope, and that with faith comes works and by works our faith grows, and as working through my thoughts it all came together that we as Americans have been taught and brainwashed to believe that we must run to a doctor every time we have a sniffle, and that between the government and the doctors we will be saved. So we pray and then go to the doctor and trust him to heal us but that takes the faith away from God and puts it into the doctor. i have heard this sad statement “you have to pray that the Lord will use the doctor and guide him so that you can be healed,,,,,,,, OK B--- S--- did you hear me B--- S---- maybe you heard me that time i believe that christians must be about the stupidest people out there. i have been doing a lot of reading in the bible for the last year, something that should have been happening for the last 36 years. A little history on me; at the age of around one month my Mom and Dad took me to a Christian church in Portland Oregon where I was handed over to a lady in the baby nursery, and we went to church their until about the age of six, around that time i refused to go any more. Even at six i saw the bickering that went on in the church on Sunday mornings and knew it was wrong. My Mom and Dad quit taking us to church but we kept in contact with the lady from the nursery and her husband who worked with my Dad in the venire in Gresham Oregon. In the summer we would spend a month with her canning food for them. We would set at lunch time and she would read the bible, over the years my life became a mess and i no longer saw her but one day as i was driving somewhere, the road was being worked on and the detour went right by her home. By this time her husband had passed away, I saw her home and had to stop, when she answered the door after not seeing me for over six years her first word to me were “i have been praying the lord would protect you and bring you back, come in Jay” i will never forget those words. i went in and sat with her at the dining room table for hours, and shared with her what a mess i had made of my life, and she said “from the first day your mother put you in my hands at church i have prayed for you, our Lord showed me He has a great task for your life, even though you have turned away you need to know He is faithful to complete what He has set in play for you. And now that you are back follow Him with a grateful heart, for He is your provider but not just your provider but your provision.” We talked about the Lord and His great and mighty power and how He is waiting and more then willing to pour out His Holy Spirit in and on this life He has given to this lump of dirt. She was quite a lady speaking openly and straight forward to me, and she never gave up on me, over the years her word come back to remind me; i am nothing without the love of the Lord, and that if I will totally give this life He has given to this lump of dirt, if i give it back to Him He will provide all my needs and guide me into His will for me. Over the years thou i would get my eyes off the Lord and look at the christians around me and become angry for the stupidity i saw in them, sharing scriptures with them hoping they would get it and understand, and i would finely just withdraw after being told, christians aren’t suppose to get angry or “so you think your holy or something?” Or the one that pissed me off the most, God doesn’t really expect us to live that, that’s why He sent Jesus. And at that point i would just walk away, and not just from them but the church, not from the Lord but from the church, but over time would begin to lose sight of the truth, not spending as much if any in the Word; because “”if that is the way Christians are i don’t want anything to do with them”” This was my view on church for a long time, during that time of life we started up five rather successful businesses. At one i made $53.00 an hour at another we went from being flat broke to supporting seven families within 1½ years and by the end of the third year our sales were right at $1,100,000.00 for the year, but each one the Lord allowed something to come up that ended them, and each time it brought me back to reading the Word. I got back to reading a scripture and then put down the Bible and ask Him to work it out in my life so that i could live in the manor He had designed me to, so that i might be able to fulfill the duties He set forth in this life He has give me to live. And would work on each one until it seemed each one was strong in my life, but realizing that each one is still in progress of being developed to completion. And then the big one in November 2011 on a Thursday morning around 3: am i was woken to “BE HOLY AS I AM HOLY” And that was the beginning of this journey home, Now back to faith and healing; Many years ago a doctor told me i had rheumatic fever, and was treated for years for it. About seven months after becoming a christian i was out working on my car and had gas leaking out of the carburetor everywhere and finely asked Lord what do i do and the Holy Spirit said pray, so i prayed “Lord please stop the gas from leaking out of the carburetor, thank you for doing this amen. i went back into the house and got ready to go then went out and got in the car driving off forgetting all about the gas problem, got about three blocks and remembered pulled over and popped the hood …. No leaks …. The Lord had fixed the problem. i went on with my life and a few days later He said you asked for me to heal your car, and it was, “Why don’t you ask me to heal you heart?” i had never thought about that so i did and then went on with my life, a few months later i was to go in for another checkup and when done the doctor said we need to see you again tomorrow, i can’t find anything wrong with your heart. My response was that is because Father God healed me, so why should I come back so you can try to fix something that isn’t there? And later on in life i saw other people healed of things in a way that it could have only been by the hand of God that they were healed. If the Lord Jesus can save us from our sins and we can have the faith to believe that and except it them why can’t we have the same faith, believe, and trust that He will do the same in our health? You say, we can, we do believe God heals, and all i hear is blah, blah, blah. Get real with your self and be honest, do you put your faith in the Lord or in your doctor? i ask one thing of you the reader, but first lets go back to the beginning of this, page one. ((((((((( This part of my journey began when the Lord woke me up at 3: am and started running scriptures through my mind and the two that kept me awake was "Be ye holy as I am holy" and "While My mercies are still with you present your body a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to Me, this is to be your service of worship and DO NOT be conformed to this world, You are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect." (Side track) ((((after working on staff at two different large church's i think that the last statement "DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD" has been totally removed from a lot of Christians vocabulary and perhaps even from their Bibles, but for sure from their lives)))) no charge for that one. There is one thing you need to understand before we go any further this is my journey, not yours, and with that in mind you need to realize i don’t care if you are with me on this journey or not. i am going, but if you want to come along you are more then welcome, just set back, keep your heart open and be quiet, or like i use to tell the kids don’t tell me which way to turn you don’t have the wheel... God does. So now that we have taken this little side road lets get back to the Journey at hand. )))))))))) So the one thing i ask of you is think about it the next time you are sick or you need something from the Lord, do you trust in Him, your doctor, your self, or others, if your faith is in any one or thing other then the Lord Jesus you are acting foolish, and you are also showing your lack of faith in our Lord Jesus. i have seen death, and been close to death, death does not give me fear, for when this body is finely dead the spirit Father God put in it will be free to go home, this world is not my home! If i am to become sick and die so be it, the ultimate decision whether i live or die is the Lords i belong to Him and gave my life back to Him so i have no say over the manner any more and fully trust that He will do what is best for me at all times. Am i better or smarter then Job i don’t think so. So by faith, and without doubting, i ask you Lord to heal Patty, thank you amen. Now the reason i bring all that up is,,,, NO MORE, you don’t like what i have to say that’s fine put this down or click it off or just get up and walk away i really don’t care, i owe you nothing more then to pray for you, and you owe me nothing more then to pray for me. And now for how i really feel about this, if you can read the words in the Bible in the Holy Scriptures of God like, be holy, as I am holy, or do not worry, and a number of other scriptures that tell us do this or don’t do that, you should be able to understand how it is that we are suppose to live. This is the way i have looked at the Bible from the first time i read it. As a christian i am to live a life that reflects the life of Christ just as His life reflects His Father. At times i would just like to pull myself up on my feet and yell ‘’SHUT UP!! ‘’ How stupid can you be, the Lord says don’t worry the same as He said do not kill, so if you decide it is easier to just kill someone rather then to do what the Word of the Father tells you to do, you going to do it? And so do not worry was not in the ten commandments, but Father God had it put in His Word so it must be just as important, and if you are not willing to follow the one are you not then guilty of following them all??? (31) September 6th 2012 This is where the Lord has brought me so far on this journey; To fear the Lord with all my heart mind and spirit, To have faith in Him, without doubt, To live a humble life before my Him, without pride, Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you. The Father knows my needs before I ever do and if I humble myself to Him He will answer my prayers and provide for all my needs, both spiritual and physical. It is time that i, as a believer stand up or rather bow down to Him as Lord of and over my life, Repent and ask to be forgiven and stop rebelling against God and His word, Stop making excuses for the sin i have allowed to stay in my live, It is time to be holy as Christ is holy, To ask for wisdom in all things, To live a life that reflects Jesus just as His life on earth reflected His Father, To live a life in true humility before my Lord and man, To show favor to no man but to treat all men as equal one to another, for we are all sinners, To give freely to all brethren as He give me the ability to and directs my heart to do so. To be the server rather then the served, To place treasures in heaven not here on earth, To choose if i want to serve God or man, i choose God. The step of faith; asking and knowing that the Father with the love of Christ and the leading of His Holy Spirit will build all of this and more, into my life, so that i as His humble servant may be holy as He is holy. It is time to step up and be the man He designed me to be, and live for Him, not for my self, do as His Word tells me to do and not make excuses for the sin i have allowed or wanted in my life, Sin is sin and that is what will keep me from staying on the narrow path and entering that small gate. Last night we went to church. What a blessing to hear Pastor Bob and Julie lead worship. And then He answered a question i have had for some time now but have not gotten a straight answer from anyone i have asked, and that is about the Sabbath. I have always thought it was to day but then thought well it must be Saturday, and studied what I could find and found when the church changed from Saturday to Sunday, to accommodate the sun worshipers. Pastor Bob also explained the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end. Things I had had a concept of but couldn’t quite get my mind around completely. We are so blessed just to be here at the beginning of this church it is like the Lord has brought me back to the beginning, for my life has no meaning if not for the Lord and what He did for me on the cross. i feel the excitement building in me again as when i first opened this life up to the Lord and asked Him in. The way i saw it though was that i was asked if i could enter into His life and fit into a part of His body to serve Him; by giving back to Him what He had given me, for without Him i am nothing, and would not exist. The feeling that by being under the wing of God, and that through Him and His direction and the leading of His Holy Spirit we can accomplish any thing that He desires in and through this life He has given to this lump of mud He calls Jay. For it is nothing without His will for it to be life. i will leave you with this today; Revelation 2:4-5 But I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you, and will remove your lampstand out of its place unless you repent. Knowing i am a sinner, i ask Lord that you would forgive me of my sins. Please build back in me the faith that was there in the beginning of my walk with You and even more. Forgive me for not staying true over all these years and for all the wasted time not serving You. Please continue to hold my feet to the fire that i might keep on the narrow path to You. i have thought and after last night am sure that staying true to the Word of God is one of the most profitable things i can do, for all the distractions by the world and even the church i need to keep focused on the Lord and not on any one or thing. This life i call mine is nothing but a vapor, but it is not mine it belongs to the Lord, for He created it for His pleasure so that we may have a personal relationship one with another. (32) September 7th 2012 Yesterday i got to serve the Lord, perhaps not, i got paid for it, they wouldn’t let me do it unless they could pay me for it, but i was willing to do it for nothing i wonder if that counts. Well i guess they’ll get it back any how on Sunday. The Lord has brought me to another step on His path. Acts 2:38-47 And Peter said to them, “Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, for the promise is for you and your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God shall call to Himself.” And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” So then, those who had received his words were baptized; and there were added that day about three thousand souls. And they were continually devoting themselves to the apostles teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. And everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles. And all those who had believed were together, and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions, and were sharing them with all, as any one might have need. And day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, Praising God, and having favor with all the people, and the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved. What it takes to make a good church 1. Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and to be saved from this perverse generation. 2. Be continually devoted to the apostles teaching 3. Be continually devoted to fellowship, 4. Be continually devoted to the breaking of bread, even from house to house 5. Be continually devoted to prayer 6. The body of believers had all things in common 7. The body of believers shared them with all, as any one might have need. 8. And day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, 9. They were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, 10. They were continually praising God, And the results are; 1. Having favor with all the people, 2. And the Lord will add to the number day by day those who are being saved. The majority of the body of believers today it seems not to be continually devoted to any of these things but then i might not completely understand what continually devoted means, the understanding i get from the words is; Continually = like all the time, Devoted = giving up of ones self to accomplish a specific goal. It is no wonder to me why we are not seeing a growth of truth in the church today we are all so busy doing our own thing, jobs, games, all sorts of social activities, and trying to make sure we are taken care of, striving have enough be able to retire someday. It seems that the average christian today is more continually devoted to their own security and wealth then to the teaching of the apostles of true fellowship with believers, and prayer seems to have become, bless me, give me, deal with this or that, a lot of useless words trying to describe to God what is going on, or so that others might know how great we are with words. Rather then coming to the Lord humbly, with a grateful heart thanking Him for His provisions for us, and salvation for others. We have become a divided people, continually devoted to our own gratification rather then the unity of believing believers continually devoted to the Lord, Father God i ask that you would check my heart that i might be about being continually devoted to You, Your Word and the fellowship of true believers, that Your church might grow in number day by day. (33) September 8th 2012 The twelve apostles: Peter, Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas, Matthew, James, Thaddaeus, Simon, and Judas who betrayed Him. Who wrote the New Testament! Matthew, Matthew Mark, Mark Luke, Luke, and i think Acts John, John, First John, Second John, Third John, Revelations Paul, Romans, First Corinthians, Second Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, First Thessalonians, Second Thessalonians, First Timothy, Second Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews James, James Peter, First Peter, Second Peter, Jude, brother of James, Jude These are the teachings i must learn, for a college degree won’t heal, nor will a high school diploma bring salvation, But the teachings from the word of God through the bible will, So back to James 1:27 Keep one-self unstained by the world (34) September 9th 2012 Truck broke down this morning on way to church, first thought; count it all joy, second thought thank you Lord, third, Lord please help us, fourth Lord please help us get the truck started again. Then Dan showed up to tow us, and in the afternoon a friend of Bob and Julie called to say they would come and fix it tomorrow about 2: pm. Looks like the Lord has it all covered, hope i passed the test, and did the right thing. (35) September 10th, 2012 Matthew 8:26 And He said to them, “Why are you timid, you men of little faith?” Matthew 10:26, Do not fear them, Matthew 10:31-33, Therefore do not fear; you are of more value then many sparrows. Every one therefore who shall confess Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever shall deny Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven. Mark 4:40 And He said to them, “Why are you timid? How is it you have no faith?” Acts 10:34, 35 God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right, is welcome to Him. Prov. 28:1 The wicked flee when no one is pursuing, but the righteous are bold as a lion. 2Cor. 10:2-6 I ask that when I am present I may not be bold with the confidence with which I propose to be courageous against some, who regard us as if we walked according to the flesh. For though walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete. 2Cor. 10:12 For we are not bold to class or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves; but when they measure themselves by themselves, and compare themselves with themselves, they are without understanding. Acts 4:31 They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak the word of God with boldness. Eph. 3:12 Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him. Phil. 1:20 But that with all boldness, Christ shall even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or death. i have known and understood that i have no need to fear man, for man can only kill the body, but God can doom the spirit, so then Him I shall fear, and with that in mind i should have no problem sharing what He has given me to share in boldness, but not in arrogance with pride in my self, only pride in Father God for what He has done. But i still hesitate. Partly because i don’t want to say it wrong, my words don’t always come out the way they should, i can think it but seems i don’t hear myself saying the right thing, get frustrated inside but don’t know how to change it, just keep praying. What should i care about what man thinks of me, for it is more important what Father God thinks of me, for why should i fear if i am doing the right thing; No one but God. (36) September 12th 2012 Got up late yesterday morning just got ready and went down to the coffee house to help Bob change the tiles in the ceiling and mask and paint it. This is where i opened up to this morning Revelation 3: And this is what the Lord shared with or showed to me, Wake up, Strengthen the things that remain, which are about to die. Repent, I know your deeds, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have keep my words, and have not denied My name. Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing. That hour that is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell upon the earth. I am coming quickly, Hold fast what you have, in order that no one takes your crown. It is time to pay attention to what He has given me, before it completely dies. Repent of my laziness in the word, and lack of faith. He has opened the door for me to follow Him, He has done this for me because my faith is small, but sense i am attempting to keep His word in my heart and follow it, He will preserve me, but i can do better if i will allow the Holy Spirit to apply all of His word to my life. For the time of His testing is coming upon the earth very soon. i am to hold tight to what He has given me, so that the evil ones can not take it from me. Lord forgive me for not totally following Your word over the years, i ask that you would give me the wisdom to do so, and the ability to hold to Your truth in my life, thank you Lord, amen. (37) September 13th 2012 At times i feel as if i am off track again being here in Eugene, but at the same time i know this is where we are to be. Church is like starting all over again from the basics, reinforcing and building on what the Lord has already put in me. And like the truck breaking down last Sunday the part from a shop would have been over $750.00 and then the labor to have had it put in, for a total of over $1,600.00. But because we are in Eugene, Bob and Julie called a friend, from Seattle, Washington who is nor only coming down to Eugene to put it in at no charge, but also searched and found a brand new one from the manufacture for only $242.00. That is just two of the blessing the Lord has done for us since we have been here, just don’t know what I can do for Him here. 38) September 14th 2012 Contentment; the result of being content Phillpplans 4:11 Not that I speak from want; for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. 1Tim. 6:6 But godliness actually is a means of great gain, when accompanied by contentment. 2Cor. 12:10 I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong. Heb. 13:5 Let your way of life be free of the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you.” So that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What shall man do to me?” Anxious; what occurs when our faith and trust is not based in God. Matthew 5:34 Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:25 I say to you, do not be anxious for your life, as to what you shall eat, or what you shall drink, nor for your body, as to what you shall put on it. Is not life more then food , and the body more then clothing? 6:27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single cubit to his life span? 6:34 Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Phillpplans 4:6-8 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things. The above verses from the Word of God seem rather simple to understand. We are to be content and not be anxious for anything, so why is it then that when we want something we cannot be content but do become anxious concerning what ever it is? i have noticed that each time this happens, the next thing to follow is justification, and talk that tries to make one believe that what they just caused to happen is good and right, perhaps even to the point of trying to make themselves and the people around then believe it is the best. But what I have seen is that if contentment would have been in the person’s life the Lord would have provided, and the best could have been accomplished in them and for them. Why do we always get in the way of God blessing us with what He wants, and when He wants to? To me it shows how much we don’t trust Him to meet our needs. And it’s funny how it always seems to go back to money or the lack of money, which brings us back to Heb. 13:5 Let your way of life be free of the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you.” So that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What shall man do to me?” By not being content because of the lack of money, and being anxious for or about something, leads to being fearful, discontent leads to anxiousness that leads to fear, and a lack of faith in God. i will explain my thought on this to help who ever might be reading it. When you think you need something, and can’t afford to get or have it, this births discontentment in your soul which brings forth anxiousness; a drive to get what you want and the longer you think about it the stronger the feelings become that you need or have to have what ever it is. And even though one would never say I don’t trust you God, that You care enough about me to do this for me, so I need to figure out how to get it on my own. As these feelings grow a fear grows along side it, a fear of, it will never happen, I’ll never get it, so deep down inside a fear that God doesn’t care and won’t take care of me. In which, if honesty would win out, one could see that it is our love of money (the things money can get) that is our sin. It also amazes me that usually right after we cause something to happen the Lord will provide for what we have desired, and it would have been so much more of a blessing to have had what He had for us rather then second or even third best. Crap is crap, and just because we cause something to happen in our lives and then try to make ourselves convinced it is good, if it is not what Father God had planned for us and laid out in His timing it is crap, and CRAP is CRAP no matter how many flowers you put on it! What we should be; i will continually live my life totally dependent on the provisions from my Lord, rather then from my own conniving, i will not conform to this world and the ways of men in this world, i choose to be content in what ever the lord allows me to have and do! i will not be anxious for, or about anything in or out of my life! i will trust in the Lord to provide all my needs! If Father God doesn’t allow something into my life then i must not really need it, and will be content to live without it! i will trust the Lord with my whole life! So let’s get to the real issue. Do we trust God or not? Do we have faith in the Father or not? A life full of faith and trust in Father God is a fulfilled life. A life without faith and trust in the Father is a wasted life full of shame. i am reminded of a line in a movie i watched the other day “if we win we will praise Him and if we loose we will praise Him.” No matter what we have or don’t have the most important thing is to keep praising Him. And that’s how i feel about that, and i think the Father is rather disgusted by it also, or at the least disappointed. (39) September 15th 2012 Perseverance Luke 21:7- 7 And they questioned Him, saying, “Teacher, when will there things take place? And what will be the sings when these things are about to take place?” 8 And He said, “Take heed that you are not misled; for many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and, “the time is at hand’; do not go after them. 9 And when you hear of war and disturbances, do not be terrified; for these things must take place first, but the end does not fallow immediately.” And then it go’s on to say that their will be wars, that nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, And their will be great earthquakes in various places, and places plagues and famines, and terrors and great sings from heaven. And then the wording is very interesting He says “But before all these things” 12 They will lay hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for My name’s sake. And this is a good thing for 13 It will lead to an opportunity for your testimony. 14-15 So make up your minds not to prepare beforehand to defend yourselves; for I will give you utterance and wisdom which none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute. History repeats its self, you can look back and see that their have been war’s and disturbances over and over through out the earth, the only thing different is we have gone from throwing rocks at each other to trying to kill each other with drugs and diseases, things like smart bomb’s that destroy water supplies, rendering them undrinkable. It seems that satin has deceived the mind of so many men. But the Lord says that He will give us the words and the wisdom for our defense, it reminds me of the verse “don’t stand on your own understanding” the Lord will take care of us if we have faith in Him to do so, and put Him first in our lives and not stand on our own understanding of things, just because things might look bad doesn’t mean that we are not to count all things as joy, for He is still in control, and if we give Him total control of our lives He will defend us for it is for His name’s sake. And by doing this our adversary’s will not be able to resist or refute, and that it is a great opportunity for your testimony. So rather then to prepare what we are going to say i thank we should spend our time preparing by spending the time worshiping and praising the Lord, for He is our refuge our strength and our defender. 16 is a warning and should be an eye opener, We will be betrayed, by parents, other christians, both relatives and friends, and they will put some to death, we will be hated by all on the account of the name of Jesus, but not a hair of your head will perish, 18 “BY YOUR PERSEVERANCE YOU WILL WINE YOUR SOULS.” Perseverance; to hold fast to the things of God, (40) September 16th 2012 Woke up early this morning thinking about this; We went to a church that after hearing that Home Depot had told a Christian that he couldn’t wear a pin that had a Christian saying on it and that Home Depot supported the gay movement; that as a church we should boycott Home Depot. I thought that was wrong at the time and kept going in and purchasing the things we needed and continued being friendly to the employs there. Thought that we were suppose to be the light in the darkness, and at the same time the church leaders would say we want the whole valley saved, so i guess that none of the Home Depot employs lived in our valley. Woke up thinking about this and the thought came to me, would it be better to stop shopping at Home Depot because of what the CEO is doing or would it be better to go there , shop there, be a good witness to the employs or to leave them to the influence of the unions and the CEO’s? And if we are going to stop shopping at Home Depot for this reason what about the grocery stores? The major food stores in this country are owned by the mormons, and then there is the clothing we purchase. Do you realize that around 87% of all sold in this country are controlled either by eastern religion groups or communist countries, and do you really know who or what you are supporting when you pay your power bill? i thought we were to be lights in the darkness and that by being the light the ones living in the dark will become aware of the light in us, the Lord Jesus. I think it would be better to invade the Home Depot with christians rather then for us to keep out, even to the point of christians being sure that when a job opening comes up there are five to seven hundred christians lined up for it, for if we are on the inside we would have a better influence then by not showing up at all. But if you are one of those that says they are doing things that are against God so we won’t do business with them then you better check out who you are purchasing your food, clothing, and power from and you might also look at the bank you are using, Oh and who are you supporting in the elections? Stop being such hypocrites and either serve the Lord or get out of His way! (41) September 17th 2012 Yesterday Patty and i went to go out to eat and were going to go to the Olive Garden when we got there, there wasn’t any place to park so we went over to the Market of Choice and had lunch. We went into their little dinning room and sat down to eat but first prayed for our food; this is in a community that is open to any and every thing except the Lord, but we prayed as we always do. Patty got up to get a fork and a lady that was setting one table away from us got up and was right on her heels and in a low voice told Her “thank you for setting an example by giving thanks for your food.” Being in the presence of the world but not being conformed by the world i believe is what the word of the Father tells us to be. Taking the time to pray in such a liberal Godless town, being obedient to the Lord in this small way, praying for our dinner the Lord used that little prayer to encourage someone around us. Then i remembered the one Sunday we had come over from Reedsport to church and on the way back to Reedsport we stopped at the casino in Florence to set, (good food small price) we got our food and sat down and prayed. The lady leaned over to Patty and said, “Thank you for reminding me, my husband and I used to pray but not much any more.” She was encouraged to start praying to the Lord again, I pray she does. If we had said we can not go to these places because they do, say and support things that are against God there are two people that we would not have met and would not have had input into their lives. Same as the campgrounds where would stay; if we didn’t camp in the BLM camp sights at ½ price, (the money goes to the government and at this time our government is heading to doing all it can to except Islam).so take the thoughts of yesterday… why are you supporting the government? And this brings me to thought; Why do we as Christians play the game the world has shoved in front of us? Have you ever played a game with a kid? They makeup the rules as the game go on? That is the government, they keep changing the rules but don’t tell us what the rules are until it is to their advantage, and we are stupid enough to allow it to happen every time, and then when we do say wait a minute, they tell us what we should be upset about and distract from what they are doing at the time! The game played on their terms can not be won, and until we are willing to bow down and say Lord i repent of my sins here am i, use me for your purpose, you set the playing field and set my steps that i may be used by you to reach others with your love. Only by playing the game by the Lord’s rules will we ever reach the narrow path to the small gate. God’s rules never change. (42) September 18th 2012 Planning Proverbs 16:9 The mind of man plans his way, But the Lord directs his way. Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a mans heart, But the counsel of the Lord, it will stand. Proverbs 15:22 Without consultation, plans are frustrated, But with many counselors they succeed. We come up with many plans, plans for everything I’ll do this and I’ll do that and we fill our days with worthless things; have to go here and there until we have no time to sit and wait on the Lord to direct us. It seems like the Lord gives us a direction to go in and then once He has given us the first step we have already planned the next twenty steps. Rather then to wait on Him to direct each step. i have noticed that on our journey He has set us on, at times we get so far ahead of Him it is heard to tell what part He is has in this journey. So I keep going back to the beginning. First it was placed on my heart to go to Montana, Then He said, get ride of every thing and be ready to go, Then go south before you go north and then east, we had made plans to go north then south west then east, had plotted it out on the map, even told people when and where we were going, but even with all our great plans, the Lord had a better way to go. Proverbs 15:22 Without consultation, plans are frustrated, But with many counselors they succeed. i did look for consultations. My first encounter the response from the first person was, “Oh, well we’ll see you around and that was the end of conversation.” He walked away. The next was, “We don’t want you to go.” but no real consultation. We did have one person say he would pray about this, and said they would send us out through his church, they prayed and we were sent out. i asked the Lord where we would end up and He says, “Will you trust Me? Follow Me as I lead you, if I tell you where you will end up you would head there and not follow Me day by day, moment by moment.” So, here we are, trusting the Lord, sitting, still for a time. He kept us out of the fire and smoke, things we were not even aware were going on out there but, He has protected us and has a plan that we don’t have to know each steep of as we go we just need to trust and follow Him being ready to turn to the left or to the right whenever He asks us to. Reminds me of words from an old Keith Green song; Obedience is better than sacrifice. I don’t want your money I want your life. (43) September 19th 2012 Obey Matthew 8:27 And the men marveled, saying, “What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?” Hebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going. i found these two verses this morning, and it answered a few questions i have had about obeying, and being counseled on what we are doing. “Even the wind and the sea obey Him.” It struck me that the Lord set in motion the wind and the sea, and directs it when and where to go, and if man is so much smarter then wind and sea then why can’t we get it together enough to be obedient and trust, obey, and follow Him without questioning every direction He gives us?. And then I think of the ways of man are not the ways of God, and we have put so much importance on what man says and thinks, instead of what the Lord asks us to do. Hebrews 11:8 i have never really looked at or considered before, but when i came across it this morning the Lord said, “I do have a place for you, two places; one here on earth and one in Heaven. Follow me and I will lead you to both, trust and obey!” “Come to Me and in faith, ask for direction, then trust and obey!” Another song “trust and obey, for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, then to trust and obey. Lord i want to trust you, and to be obedient to you, please lead us where You desire us to be. It seems that this part of our journey has been partly to be an encouragement to others to either start or get back to praying, but I think we should always be doing that, shouldn’t we! (44) September 20th 2012 i keep going back to Montana. Though as it seems right now, if the Lord allows us to live, we will head there this spring. Haven’t been doing a lot of thinking about it but every once in awhile it is on my heart to go there to the west side. Right now i believe we are learning what we will need when we get their, for what ever it is the Lord has planed in our lives. In the midst of trials we learn to more deeply lean on the Lord and through leaning on the Lord we learn to trust in Him more, and when we trust Him it opens the door for Him to work through us. Woke up this morning thinking about prayer 1Peter 3:7 You husbands likewise, live with your wives in an understanding way, as a weaker vessel, since she is a woman; and grant her honor as a fellow-heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered. Psalms 34:15, 16 “For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, And His ears attend to their prayers, But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” Luke 6:12 And it was at that time He went to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God Matthew 21:21, 22 And Jesus answered and said to them, “Truly I say to you, if you have faith, and do not doubt, you shall not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it shall happen. “And every thing you ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.” This may seem rather simple; Honor your wife, live a righteous life, Pray constantly, in faith trusting without doubt, i am working on all of these. (45) September 22nd 2012 Woke up this morning and saw something I had noticed before but had really not put together and this morning it all just seemed to fit. (1) Matthew 5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit.” (Mathew 5:10-12 Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for there is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when men revile you, and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, on account of Me. Rejoice, and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.) It seems the Lord is showing us that yes when we are persecuted our spirits may become as he calls it poor, run down, tired, seem weak, less then, lacking but even though we may feel this way we need to realize that if we will live a righteous life and endure any and all persecution, evil things being said about us and done to us, we will be blessed. “For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” We get to go home. And then the Lord encourages us with, (Matthew 5:13-16 YOU are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do men light a lamp, and put it under a peck measure, but on the lampstand; and it gives light to all who are in the house, Let your light shine before men so that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.) i think He tells us in scriptures that we are His light in this world and He has lit us up with His Spirit when we accepted Him into our hearts. So that we may shine His light so that others may see Him, and if we will hold onto His teachings and commit them to our lives He will print them on our hearts. No matter what men may say about or do to us we need not feel that we are less then, for even as the prophets before us were persecuted if we will live the way He wills us to live we also will be persecuted, so be set in the ways of the Lord and even though we may feel down realize He is still in control and our reward is to live with Him in Heaven. (2) Mathew 5: 4 “Blessed are those who mourn.” (Mathew 5:17-20 Do not think I have come to abolish the law of the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass away from the law, until all is accomplished. Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and so teaches others, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven, for I say to you, that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven.) i think the Lord is telling us we should mourn over the fact that each one of us has at one time or another done and said things that do not line up with His Word. There are those that twist and manipulate the word of God to get people to do things they want them to do rather then to just truly share the word and only the word. When we recognize that we have or are doing this we should mourn, and repent, and then live a life more righteous then the scribes and Pharisees. “They shall be comforted.” The word tells us if we will repent of our sins we will be saved, how much more comforting do you need? (3) Matthew 5:5 “Blessed are the gentle.” (Matthew 5:21-27 You have heard that the ancients were told, ‘You shall not commit murder and whoever commits murder shall be liable to the court.’ “But I say to you that ever one who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever shall say to his brother, ‘Raca’, shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever shall say, ‘You fool,’ shall be guilty enough to go into hell of fire. If therefore you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering before the altar, and go your way; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering. Make friends quickly with your opponent at law while you are with him on the way, in order that your opponent may not deliver you to the judge, and the judge to the office, and you be thrown into prison. Truly I say to you, you shall not come out of there, until you have paid up the last cent.” Interesting but true if we are gentle, have a gentle spirit we will not be easily angered, and will not commit murder nor call a brother names, And a gentle spirit also recognizes when it has offended someone, and will desire to make things right, but a stubborn rebellious spirit will be thrown into prison. How shall we pay in full our debt due for our sin? It’s only by coming to Him, asking to be forgiven, repenting with a gentle heart. Gentleness keeps us out of a lot of trouble. And gives us favor with man. “…for they shall inherit the earth.” (4) Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness” (Matthew 5:27-32 You have heard it said, ‘YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY’; But I say to you, that everyone that looks on a woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. And if your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out, and throw it from you; for it is better for you that one of the parts of your body parish, then for your whole body to be thrown in to hell. And if your right hand makes you stumble, cut it off, and throw it from you; for it is better for you that one of the parts of your body parish, then for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And it was said, “WHOEVER DIVORCES HIS WIFE LET HIM GIVE HER A CERTIFICATE OF DISMISSAL.” But I say to you that every one that divorces his wife, except for the case of unchastity, makes her commit adultery; and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.” (Matthew 5:33-37 “Again, you have heard that the ancient were told “YOU SHALL NOT MAKE FALSE VOWS, BUT SHALL FULFILL YOUR VOWS TO THE LORD.” “But I say to you, make no oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, or by earth, for it is the footstool of His feet, or by Jerusalem, for it is THE CITY OF THE GREAT KING. “Nor shall you make an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black. “But let your statement be ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no’; and any thing beyond these are of evil. i do understand the Lord was talking about adultery, marriage, and divorce but this morning it seems to me that there is more to be seen, I think it is also a view of our relationship as the bride of Christ, and Jesus the husband of the church. In the world we are constantly being bombarded with things that draw us away from the Lord; unrighteous things that causing us to become detached from the will of God. Adultery that leads us to divorcing our trust and faith in Christ as it may seem, and by getting our eyes off the Lord and looking at things of this world, to desiring them is committing adultery against our Lord Jesus, who is the Husband of the church, but if we will hunger and thirst after His righteousness, we will be satisfied. When we make an oath or vow to the Lord by asking Him into our hearts and telling Him, “Have your way with my life”, that is the only oath or vow we should be making. Any other is committing adultery against the Lord. “…for they shall be satisfied.” If we hunger and thirst after His righteousness we can and will be satisfied, if you know you belong to Jesus and accept Him as Lord of your life you will be satisfied in all ways. (5) Matthew 5: 7 “Blessed are the merciful.” (Matthew 5: 38-42 You have heard it was said, AN EYE FOR AN EYE, AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH; But I say to you, do not resist him who is evil; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if any one wants to sue you, and take your shirt, let him have your coat also. And whoever shall force you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you.) By showing mercy to the ones that are evil to you, instead of returning evil back to them, then .”…for they shall receive mercy.” (6) Matthew 5: 8 “Blessed are the pure in heart,” (Matthew 5: 43- Matthew 6: 34) You can read it, but I believe it is laying out how we are to be pure in heart, and that by being pure in heart we will see God in and through our lives as He directs us and provides our needs just as He tell us i Mathew 6. “…for they shall see God.” (7) Matthew 5: 9 “Blessed are the peacemakers.” (Matthew 7: 1-12) You can read this also (my hands are sore I will try and get back to this but if I don’t please read Matthew 7: 1-12 in the light of being a peacemaker. “…for they shall be called sons of God.” (8) Then the rest of Matthew shows us the kingdom of heaven; how He lived out His life, and we are to live out our lives in the same way before others (46) September 23rd 2012 1 Corinthians 12 Concerning spiritual gifts brethren, I do not want you to be unaware. Therefore I make it known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is accused” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. There are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries, and one Lord. And there are varieties of effects, but one God who works all things in all persons. But each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. Gifts from the Spirit of God Wisdom, Word of knowledge, Faith, gift of healing, The effecting of miracles, Prophecy, Distinguishing of spirits, Various kinds of tongues, Interpretation of tongues Each one is given by the same Spirit. And the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills. For even as the body is one and yet many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized in to one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we are all made to drink of one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. Now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired. And if they were all one member, where would the body be? Now there are many members, but one body. And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you” or again the hand to the feet, I have no need of you.” On the contrary, it is much truer that the members of the body which seem weaker are necessary and those members of the body, which we deem less honorable, on these we bestow more abundant honor, and our unseemly members come to have more abundant seemliness, whereas our seemly, members have no need of it. But God has so composed the body, giving more abundant honor to that member which lacked, that there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. Now you are Christ body, and individually members of it. God has appointed in the Church; First apostles, Second prophets, Third teachers, Then miracles, Then gifts of healing, Helps, Administration, Various kinds of tongues, All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? All are not teachers, are they? All are not workers of miracles, are they? All do not have the gift of healings, do they? All do not speak in tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they? But earnestly desire the greater gifts. And I show you a still more excellent way. If I do all things, or am all things, and do not have love i have, and am nothing, for with out love what would it profit me. Love is; Patient, Kind, Not jealous, Does not brag, Is not arrogant, Does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, But rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, Love never fails; All of the gifts we now know and do, but only in part, when Jesus returns these things will be done away with but love will remain, because Jesus is love. So it seems that all of the gifts are given by the Holy Spirit, for the body of Christ, but love is a much more desirable quality we should desire in our lives. (47) September 24th 2012 In 1Corinthians 14:1 the word says; Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. That’s all the Holy Spirit shared with me this morning Something to think about through your day! (48) September 26th, 27th, 28th 2012 (1) Hebrews 12:14- 17 Pursue after peace with all men, and after the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by it many be defiled; that there be no immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his birthright for a single meal. For you know that even afterwards, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it with tears. ( i am to have no root of bitterness springing up in me, for that it would cause trouble in me ) (a) Hebrews 13: 5, 6 Let your way of life be free of the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “”I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,”” so that we confidently say, “”THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT SHALL MAN DO TO ME?”” ( i am reminded again of Matthew 6: 24 – 34 No one can serve two masters, do not be anxious for your life, is not life more then food, and the body then clothing? Look at the birds of the air, they do not sow, reap, neither do they gather up nor store in barns, and yet our Father feeds them, are we not worth much more then they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single cubit to his life’s span? And why be anxious about clothing? Observe the lilies, alive today and tomorrow dead, Won’t our Father in heaven do even more for us? Oh men of little faith. Do not be anxious then for what we shall eat or drink or wear like the heathens do, for our Father in heaven knows that we need these things, and as He does for the birds and the lilies He will take care of us. So we must seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to us. And for this reason we have no excuse to be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself. (( Conclusion; If we are seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, being content in who we are in Him, and being content with what He provides for us then bitterness will not spring up and cause trouble in our lives by taking hold of our lives. Contentment is a large thing in our life as Christians. But then i had the thought i should be discontent with my lack of faith, and the Lord reminded me of the verse “He gives to whom He wills”. He gave me faith and when i use the faith He has given me then my faith in Him will grow. So it is up to me to use the faith He has given me to allow the Holy Spirit to grow more faith up in me. So be content and use the gifts the Father has given to me and let Him work out the rest.)) (2) Hebrews 13: 13-16 Let us go out to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach. For here we do not have a lasting city, but we are seeking the city which is to come. Through Him let us continually offer up sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His Name. And do not neglect doing good and sharing; for with such sacrifice God is pleased. (( Conclusion; Just as the sacrificial in the Old Testament was taken outside the city to be burnt, so Jesus the ultimate sacrifice was taken outside the city to be slain. I caught a glimpse of something and not sure how to describe it but as Jesus was taken out of the city to be crucified, at this time we are out of our city and if we will stand for Him and His name, we will be bearing His reproach, for we will be ridiculed, we will be persecuted, and even put to death for His name sake. For this earth is not our home, our home is in heaven, with Him. And in full contentment let us continually offer up sacrifice of praise to God; That is giving thanks to the father for everything, and in every situation that may come our way, whether we think it is good or bad, take a lesson from Job. We should be living our lives saying what is true, telling the world about the love of the Father, that He sent His only son Jesus for the redemption of our souls, even to the point of death, for they can only kill the body not the soul, for our soul belongs to Jesus. For whom even the demons fear. )) (((((((A little side note; i awoke at 2:am it is September the 27th With this thought; If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, Or if I command the locust to devour the land, Or if I send pestilence among My people, and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I Will hear from heaven, Will forgive their sin, And will heal their land We call ourselves Christians, and use the name Christian as a bandage thinking that by that name we are something special. The only name that is special is the name Jesus, for at that name every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that He is Lord. We have been so corrupted, even by the church that we think we are something special, because we call ourselves Christians but we have been so corrupted that we think we must tolerate any thing the world tosses at us. How many times have you heard; can’t we all just get along? Or can’t we agree to disagree! Both are a trick of satan and the church has sucked it up and tolerated this type of deception for far too long. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord! I know it will cause ripples through my life but I am sick of compromise in the church so it will start with me, NO MORE COMPROMISING. AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE WE WILL SERVE THE LORD! And if you can’t at least attempt to live with that then we might as well just die, and get it over with for it seems the longer we are on the earth the more opportunity we have to mess up, so I thank we should say there will be no more compromising in my home, or in this life the Lord has given to me, So Lord i humble myself and will continue to humble myself before you and will pray, Seeking Your face and will turn from my wicked ways. Oh Lord, you are the one and only true God, i come to you and ask for forgiveness, asking that by the power of Your Holy Spirit You would cause my humility to be full, true and sincere. Father please forgive me for i am a sinner not worthy to even think i could speak to you much less see You, i am nothing more then dirt to be trampled on, but that if i could be Your servant and serve You the remaining days You allow this body to live i would be grateful, that i might see Your face on that day and be with you, in Your house forever. Amen Lord i do understand to repent is to turn from evil and go the opposite way, and not go back. This is my desire, to follow You, all the days of my life. i ask oh Lord, that You would grant me this desire, that i may serve you in any composite You so desire. And Lord i ask that you would heal me of my lack of faith, and that you would remove any doubt towards You that is in me. So i come humble before you asking to be forgiven and cleansed of my sin, so that i may see you face to face. Amen, Amen. ))))))) (3) Ephesians 3:20- 21 Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works with in us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. 4:1- 8 i Therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one Father, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all in all. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore it says, “WHEN HE ASCENDED ON HIGH, HE LED CAPTIVE A HOST OF CAPTIVES, AND HE GAVE GIFT’S TO MEN.” i Therefore, entreat you to walk in all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore it says, “ AND HE GAVE GIFT’S TO MEN.” 4:17- 19 This i say therefore, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their hearts; and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality, for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. walk no longer just as the gentiles, in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, or you will be excluded from the life of God, because of your ignorance that is in you, because of the hardness of your hearts; and you, having become callous, have given yourselves over to sensuality, for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. 4: 20 - 5: 7 But you did not learn Christ in this way, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth in Jesus, that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lust of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth. Therefore, laying aside falsehood, SPEAK TRUTH, EACH ONE of you, WITH HIS NEIGHBOR, BE ANGRY, AND YET DO NOT SIN; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give to the devil an opportunity. Lay aside old self, be renewed in the spirit of your mind, put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth. laying aside falsehood, SPEAK TRUTH, EACH ONE of you, WITH HIS NEIGHBOR, BE ANGRY, AND YET DO NOT SIN; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give to the devil an opportunity, Let him who steals steal no longer; let him labor, performing with his own hands what is good, in order that he may have something to share with him who has need. Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word that is good for edification according to the need of the moment, that it may give grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice, And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. 5:1 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you, and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. But do not let immorality or any impurity or greed even be named among you, as is proper among saints; And there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them: for you were formerly darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. And do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. But all things are become visible when they are exposed by the light, for every thing that becomes visible is light. For this reason it says, “AWAKE, SLEEPER, AND ARISE FROM THE DEAD, AND CHRIST WILL SHINE ON YOU.” Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; and be subject one to another in the fear of Christ. (49) September 28th 2012 So, to sum this up and live the way the Lord desires us to; We are to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which we have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. We are to no longer walk as the gentiles walk, in futility of our minds, being darkened in our understanding, for we are no longer excluded from the life of God, because of the ignorance that was in us, we are in the light and need to keep our heart softened for if we have hardness in our hearts; we will become callous, and end up giving ourselves over to sensuality, for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness, This is another good reason to be content in the Lord. We are to lay aside our old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lust of deceit, so that we may be renewed in the spirit of our mind, and put on the new self, which like the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth. We are to lay aside falsehood, and speak truth with our neighbor. We are to be angry with out sinning, and we are not let the sun go down with out dealing with our anger, so that we do not give to the devil an opportunity to corrupt us. We are not to steal but to work in what is good so that we will have something to share with those whom have a need. We are not to speak with unwholesome words, but are to only use words that are good for edification according to the need of the moment, that it may give grace to those who hear. We are not to grieve the Holy Spirit of God, because He is the one that keeps us sealed for the day of redemption. We are to put away from us, to have nothing to do with, all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander and all malice. We are to be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven us. We are to be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved us, and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. We are not to allow immorality, or any impurity or greed even be named among us, for this is proper among saints; And there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather we are to be giving thanks to God. We should know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, will have an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. We are to guard our selves so that we don’t let anyone deceive us with empty words. If we do these things the wrath of God comes upon us because of our disobedience. We are not to partake with the sinners: because we are no longer darkness, but now are light in the Lord, and we are to walk as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth). Our whole desire should be to learn what is pleasing to the Lord, and then do it. We are not to participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, But instead we are to expose them; We are not only, not to participate in sin but it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which sinners do in secret. We are to be wise and be careful how we walk, we are walk as wise men making the most of our time, using our time given to us by God to do what is right and fitting for Him. We are to be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; and be subject one to another in the fear of Christ. (4) 1cor 3: 16-17 Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are. (( This is rather self explanatory; you and i are the temple of God, because His Spirit lives in us, and if we destroy this body He will He will be faithful to destroy us. )) (50) September 29th 2012 (5) Ephesians 5:1 Back to Ephesians 5:1-2 this seems to be important. Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you, and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. We are to imitate God, just like Jesus said, “I do what I see the Father doing”. (6) Colossians 3:12 And so as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against any one; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. And beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bound of unity. What Paul sent to Colossians is the same as what He sent to Philippians, so it must be rather important, and to be taken to heart so; (a) We are chosen by God. (b) Made holy and are beloved by Him (c) Our heart is to be filled with (1) Compassion (2) Kindness (3) Humility (4) Gentleness (5) Patience (6) Bearing with one another (7) Forgiving each other (8) Beyond all these we are to put on love, which is the perfect bound of unity. LOVE; 1corinthians 12: 26 tells us that we the believers in Christ are all members of one body, and as members if one suffers then we all suffer, and if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with that member. And I Corinthians 13:4 says what love is, love is; (1) Patient (2) Kind (3) Not jealous (4) Does not brag (5) Is not arrogant (6) Does not act unbecomingly Like (a) to seek its own (b) becoming provoked (c) taking into account wrongs done against you (d) rejoicing in unrighteousness But instead (7) Rejoices with the truth (8) Bears all things (9) Believes all things (10) Hopes all things (11) Endures all things And we are told that love never fails. And 1Corinthians 13:13 says; But now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. So the list above from Colossians 3:12 sure seems to be the same as the list of what love is, so then we must have love in our hearts to fulfill the commandments of God in our lives. Back in 1973 after accepted the Lord Jesus into my life i had read 1Corinthians 13 and knew i needed to learn how to have love, so i made a commitment to practice each aspect of love, now 39 years later i am still working on them. (A) Patient; i have become more patient with most people but still become inpatient with those who call themselves christians that hear and read the word of God but choose to not obey it, and so called educated people that seem so stupid they can’t comprehend simple truth, or follow simple instructions But then the Lord reminds me that i also couldn’t comprehend the simple truth that He loves and cares for me, and still have trouble following His simple instructions, and that at times I also choose to not obey His word. And all I can say is Lord forgive me, help me not be this way with others. (B) Kind; i am kinder then i was 39 years ago but not always. i don’t physically beat people any more, but at times i am sure my tongue has done damage to others. And for this i also repent and ask to be forgiven. i have noticed that if i am being patient then kindness comes easier. (C) Jealous; Jealousy didn’t seem to be a problem for me growing up until about 38 years ago. We got married, and jealousy came in; didn’t like the fact that she would rather spend time with friends rather then me. But as far as a jealousy of other peoples stuff and things i have not had a problem with, for i have always felt that stuff and things were and are not what brings joy to my life. And at the age of around seven i recognize that by being content with who i am and what i have i could have joy and not be conformed by those around me. And then after accepting the Lord into my life i really found joy because i found contentment grounded in Him, and knew He would take care of all my needs, and i had and have no need of any thing but to know Him and live for Him. i do understand i lost track of that for a time but am now on the path again. So again, i must repent and ask for forgiveness for allowing Your joy to be taken from me, Lord please allow me the pleasure of Your joy to again be in me. Amen. (D) Bragging; This i did and at times still find myself, out of pride, the wrong kind of pride, telling others about where i have come from and some of the things i have done and been through but not to bring glory to the Father but to me, i catch myself in the midst of doing it and try to stop but still, a problem. Remedy; Lord please help me not be this way, Lord please each time i start acting this way please help me to stop and not go on, help me to be a blessing to Your name. For i want to brag about nothing but You and Your love. Amen. (E) Arrogant; My arrogance seems to show up when i less expect it, it is not pretty. It is something that iI am still working on, and with the help of the Lord we will get it taken care of, it seems to show up out of the bragging. But it shows there is still to much of me and not enough of the Lord coming out of me. Lord forgive me of my arrogant prideful attitude, help me be more like You, so others will see more of You and less of me. (E) Unbecomingly; Seeking my own way. At times i hear my speech, it is laid out so that i can get my point out to have my own way, I see it in my self and others and it is very unbecoming. Lord forgive me of my unbecoming ways, change my thoughts to be towards you and not me. (F) Becoming provoked; Becoming provoked has become less of a problem then 39 years ago, then i was provoked even by someone looking at me to the point of doing damage to them. But over the last 39 years as i have practiced being patient, kind, not jealous not bragging, not being arrogant and not acting unbecomingly it has been so much easier to not be provoked. And for this i am grateful to the Holy Spirit that the Lord has given to me to guide and keep me. Thank you Lord for you constant concern for my soul, and guiding me in a way that causes me to shine you each and every day. Amen. (G) Taking account of wrongs done to me; Before the Lord came in my life if you wronged me you would be dealt with, not a good thing. The Lord has gotten me to the point that iI am no longer a physical threat to those who wrong me, i have learned to pray for them. My problem in this area for the last several years has been letting go of the wrong, especially if it was done by someone who calls their self a Christian. Lord help me to forgive others as you have forgiven me, help me to not hold on to the issue or the feelings involved, allow me to be a blessing to them and to shine your love on them. Amen. (H) Rejoice in unrighteousness; i do not rejoice in others unrighteousness, but at times have found myself rejoicing in my own unrighteousness, not being willing to let go of some sin in my life to the point of trying to justify it to myself the Lord and others. How stupid can one person be? It is not something that i feel good about and when i notice it in myself try to deal with it, but is one area i still seem to hold on to, and it is what most people consider to be minute, and look at as such a small thing why be bothered, but i know it is the small things that will keep me from entering the kingdom of Heaven. Which brings me back again to the beginning of this journey i am on, “be holy as I Am holy” Lord forgive me of all the unrighteousness i hold in my life, give me an even greater desire to discard all the crap from my life, and please fill the spaces with your Holy Spirit, Your love, Your joy and allow me to grow strong in Your presence, and the ability to be bold in You. Amen. Lord I desire to be holy as You are holy, to live my life not conformed by this world but conformed by You and your love. Amen. Amen. To live this life You have given me; willing to die for You as you died for me, forgive me for not following You all the days of my life. Amen and Amen It is now 11:35 and i need to rest, the mind is willing but the fingers are sore will be back in the morning. (51) September 29th 2012 Isaiah 35: 8- 10 And a highway will be there, a roadway, And it will be called “the highway of holiness.” The unclean will not travel on it. But it will be for him who walks that way, And fools will not wander on it. No lion will be there, Nor will any vicious beast go up on it; These will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk there, And the ransomed of the Lord will return, And come with joyful shouting to Zion, With everlasting joy upon their heads, They will find gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee away. i think this is the narrow path leading to the small gate, i am looking for, the highway called holiness. The unclean will not be there, for it is for the one who walks in the way of the Lord, for those that are seeking to be holy as the Father is holy. ((((((( Another side note The fear of the Lord Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14 The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person Because God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil. Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 9:10, 11 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For by Me your days will be multiplied, And years of life will be added to you. Proverbs 10:27 The fear of the Lord prolongs life, But the years of the wicked will be shortened. Proverbs 14:26, 27 In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and His children will have refuge. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, Proverbs 19:23 The fear of the Lord leads to life, so that one may sleep satisfied, untouched by evil. Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man brings a snare, but he who trusts in the Lord will be exalted. Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Conclusion; We are all to fear the God and keep His commandments, this applies to every one. (1) The fear of God brings us knowledge, because if we fear Him we will be reading His word to find out about Him. (2) The fear of the Lord brings wisdom, because if we fear the Lord we will be reading and applying His word to our lives. (3) The fear of the Lord prolongs life, because if we fear Him we will be living a clean life. (4) The fear of the Lord gives us a strong confidence, so that we will be confident to share with others His love. (5) The fear of the Lord leads to life, a life with Him for eternity. i woke up thinking about fear, and how as Americans i don’t think we really understand fearing the Lord. I was trying to wrap my mind and heart around understanding this. And it seems hard to fear someone whom you don’t see, but then to realize who God is and that He created the heavens and the earth, the galaxies and everything in them. He knew me before i ever was, and He knows the number of hairs on my head, He knows my comings and goings He knows every deed i have ever done and every word i have ever spoken, and the Lord will have the final say if i get into heaven or not. And He has the power and authority over death, hell and the grave. Then who should i fear except Him? i remembered when i first came to the Lord and read His word i started in Psalms and Proverbs. It did give me a fear of the Lord, for it seemed that He knew me and what i was doing and was telling not to do it any more. Not even my parents knew what i was doing, i had keep it very well covered up for years but here was a book telling me what i was doing and that i should not do it and if the writer of this book knew me this well who else knew, and i did have a fear of Him? But i can see over the years that fear has been put on the back shelf of my mind, it is still there but not looked at or thought of much until this morning. When i first came to the Lord i did ask for wisdom and understanding, and He gave it to me. I have been able to see things and understand them, how things work, why people do the things they do, even things that are going to come, but over the years even that has dimed in my life. i think i remembered this because yesterday i was listening to a dvd from Pat Roberson about fearing God and remembered what happened with me once i had the fear of the Lord in me. It was as if He took me aside and shared things with me that others couldn’t seem to see much less understand. And it wasn’t a puffing up of my self feeling, it was a feeling of acceptance and love, and being cared for, like He was holding me but at the same time could crush me at any time. It reminded me of training dogs they wanted to please but i had the power to feed or kill each one of them, and knowing that God has the power to kill or save me and it is His choice and that i am not even worthy to see Him, that to look upon Him I would die, brought great fear of Him. i have a knowledge of this and an understanding of it, it was in my heart, but i think i may have lost track of it somewhere along the way. So my prayer today is Lord help me to wrap my heart, mind and soul around the fear of You even greater then i had before. For You are the beginning and the ending, and through You all things were created and can be destroyed. You keep the birds of the air and the grass of the fields. You started life and you can end it. You hold me in the palm of Your hand and can do with me as You wish. For it is by You that everything, both good and evil will be brought into light and judgment. Lord please forgive me for my lapse of fear of You. You are the only One worthy of praise and honor. Thank You for allowing me to serve You, and i ask that you would set Your Holy Spirit in me that He may guide this life this soul. You have given this mass of clay, formed me to be in Your will, and image. Amen, Amen. Conclusion; i will be much afraid not of man for what can man do to my soul? i will fear the Lord all the days of my life, for they are days He allows me to have, and will be grateful for each breath He gives, for each could be the last, but then it is to go home. So i will not fear man, but the Lord, Because God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil. And if He allows me to live and gives direction, i will go to Montana in March. ))))))) (7) Isaiah 35:8 continued i think this all fits together. If we don’t fear the Lord we are unable to find the narrow path to the small gate. (8) 1John 2:6 The one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked. 1John 2:1-6 My little children, I am writing these things to you that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world. And by this we know we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. The one who says, “I have come to know Him knows Him” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know we are in Him: the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked. The Lord writes these words so that we may not sin. i see that as saying we have the guide and direction so that we may not sin, so at this point it makes it our choice if we sin or not, (the devil never made you do anything!) But if we do sin Jesus is our advocate to the Father, but I think that if we choose or plan to sin we are walking in a dangerous place, and as the rest of 1John 2:3-6 the one that does not keep the commandments of the Lord really doesn’t know Him or have Him in them, you are only fooling yourself, the Father knows your thoughts and deeds. But if we say we are of God then we must keep and apply His commandments to our lives, and daily walk with Him, living out His commandments, to be a light to the world, giving no concern to what men may say about us, or do to us. That is interesting it takes us back to my conclusion of my last little side note; Conclusion; i will be much afraid not of man for what can man do to my soul, i will fear the Lord all the days of my life, for they are days He allows me to have, and will be grateful for each breath He gives, for each could be the last, but then it is to go home. So i will not fear man, but the Lord, Because God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil. (52) September 30th 2012 The month of September has been about; Faith, wisdom, choices, love, commitment, and overall about following the Lord, and knowing that He is God and gives to us what we need as we have need of it, and His Spirit is the keeper of our souls. He loves us and desires the best for us, but if we don’t keep His commandments we truly do not know Him, and are not saved by Him. So our determination should be to be holy as He is holy, to keep His commandments, to fear Him and Him alone, for He is our redemption, the one whom saves us. And if we keep His commandments we will not be conformed to this world, but to Him, by Him. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord! I Thess. 4: Hebrews12:10 Col. 1:22 Luke 1:49 Psalms 1:24 Rev 15: Psalms 29:2 (53) October 1st 2012 Exodus 20 Then GOD, Spoke All These Words, (1) “I am the Lord your God who brought you out of the house of slavery. ( I am the Lord your God who brought you out of your addiction of and slavery to the ways of man and the things of this world. ) ( Lord forgive me i am a sinner, i repent of my sins, and with the help of the Holy Spirit i will turn and follow You and you’re your commandments, thank You for giving of Yourself so that i may be forgiven and allowing me to serve You and your Father, God. ) (2) You shall have no other gods before Me. ( and I mean NO other gods, not your job, your home, your vehicles, your toys, any activity, or thing, you shall not put anything before Me, I am to be number one in your life, your first love. ) (3) You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the father on the children, on the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, (If you chose to worship idols the Lord says He will your pass your iniquity on to your children for three to four generations. Something for your kids, grand kids, great grandkids and even great, great grandkids, wow the gift that just keeps on giving; do you want to be responsible for that in their lives?) but showing loving kindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep my commandments. (The Lord will show loving-kindness to those who love Him and Keep His Commandments.) (4) You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. For the Lord will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain. (The Lord God says you take My name in vain I will punish you) (5) Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, ( i have often wondered how the Father really looks at us on the Sabbath, or if it is to disgusting for Him to even look at, the pastor goes over his carefully manicured and timed message by ten minutes and has to apologize. It’s not because any one is saying or thinking he is infringing on my Sabbath time, i need to get home to rest. No it is more that he has infringing on MY time, i need to watch that game, or do whatever. We as a people have taken our idols and convinced ourselves they are holy and the Sabbath has become as good a time as any to pay homage to them. i have fallen in to this also for it is the way of the Christians, but i think it has come from the way of the world, i know i am wrong by following, and it will stop. Saturdays from this time forth will be our Sabbath day just as God had said, a day to do no work, and to be in the word with my wife, learning the ways of our Lord. ) Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of your LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you. For in the six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the seas and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. (So, if it can’t be done in six days, it will have to wait till after the Sabbath, or maybe you just have too many obligations that aren’t of the Lord? But the Lord set forth and blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy) (6) Honor your father and mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the Lord your God gives you. (In America it seems we don’t honor any older people, but if we want the blessing from the Lord we must at least honor our father and mothers.) (7) You shall not murder. (refer to Matthew 5:21-26, for the update. ) (8) You shall not commit adultery. (refer to Matthew 5:27-32, for the update. ) (9) You shall not steal. (you shall not steal. Not that hard to understand. I think it means DO NOT STEAL. ) (10) You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. (you shall not bear false witness. Not that hard to understand either.) (11) You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor. (Seems to me that we are not to be coveting anything our neighbors might have, i think it must have something to do with contentment in the Lord, but that’s just my opinion. Think how much less war and bickering and work on the Sabbath there would be if we didn’t covet what our neighbors have. ) Direction directly from GOD The first Ten Commandments; 1. You shall have no other gods before Me. 2. You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. 3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain 4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, 5. Honor your father and mother, 6. You shall not murder 7. You shall not commit adultery. 8. You shall not steal. 9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor 10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor Plus the updates in Matthew 5:12-32 from Lord JESUS, Gives us the perfect way to live our lives, and what the Lord requires of us is, to live by His law, obey His commandments. Psalms 19:7-14 The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true, they are righteous altogether. They (the laws) are more desirable then gold, yes, then much fine gold; Sweeter also then honey and the drippings of honeycomb Moreover, by them (the laws) Thy your servant is warned; In keeping them (the laws) there is great reward. Who can discern his errors? (Only the law of God) Acquit me of hidden faults. (Only the law of God) Also keep back Thy servant from presumptuous sins; (Only the law of God) Let them (presumptuous sins) not rule over me; Then i shall be blameless, And i shall be acquitted of great transgressions, (Only by or through the law of God) Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord my rock and my redeemer. Matthew 5:17-20 Jesus speaking said “Do not think I have come to abolish the Law or the prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass away from the Law, until all is accomplished. Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and so teaches others, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; But whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 22:36 Jesus was asked; “Teacher, what is the greatest commandment in the Law?” And He (Jesus) said to them, “YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR LORD GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND. This is the great and foremost commandment. And the second is like it, YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOUR SELF. On these two commandments depends the whole Law and the prophets.” (((((((i think that Jesus was very clear and determined on, and about, the Law and the commandments, and our role with or in them, for He says “whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” And He also says “Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and so teaches others, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven” Rather straight forward don’t you think? And the He says the most disturbing part of scripture to me. “For I say to you, that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven.” How many times have i failed Him, by not following His commandments? So many i can’t count, and it seems even more since i am unaware of a lot of what the Lord has said in His word, i guess ignorant of a lot of the Law would be a good definition of my life. But that brings us back to repentance Lord i repent of my ignorance of your Word for I have no excuses for not knowing, please forgive me and allow me to know, and fulfill, You and your commandments in my life, that i may share them with others. Amen. Amen. ))))))) John 14:15 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. Jesus said to Him “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe on account of the works themselves. Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do he shall do also; and greater works then these shall he do; because I go to the Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you, and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come back to you. After a little while the world will behold Me no more; but you will behold Me; because I live, you shall also live. In that day you shall know that I am in My Father and you in Me, and I in you. He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me; and he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him, and will disclose Myself to him.” Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make our abode with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My word; and this word you hear is not Mine, but the Fathers who sent Me”. (54) October 4th – 6th 2012 So where did we come from and who do we belong to is a question I think we all should be asking, so let’s go back to the first records we have of our history. And God spoke in to existence; Genesis 1:3 “Let there be light” and there was. Genesis 1:6 “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the water, let it separate the waters from the waters” Genesis 1:9 “Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry Land appear.” Genesis 1:11 “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seeds, and fruit trees bearing fruit after their kind, with seeds in them, on the earth” Genesis 1:14 “let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and for years, and let then be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth” Genesis 1:20 “Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens” Genesis 1:24 “Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind” God made man: Genesis 1:26 “Let Us make man in our image, according to our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth” Genesis 1:29 “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you; and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to every thing that moves on the earth which has life, I have given every green plant for food” Genesis 1:31 And God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. The first commandment given Genesis 2:16 “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you shall surely die.” God made woman: Genesis 2:18 “It is not good for man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him” Man sinned separating him from God: Genesis 3:9 “Where are you” God confronts the breaking of Him commandment; Genesis 3:11 ”Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?” Genesis 3:13 “What is this you have done?” God punishes for the breaking of His commandment: Genesis 3:14-19 And the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, Cursed are you more then all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; on your belly shall you go, and dust shall you eat all the days of your life; And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and He shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise him on the heel” And to the women He said, “I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth, in pain you shall bring forth children Yet your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you. Then to Adam He said “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about witch I have commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is the land because of you; In toil you shall eat of it and all the days of your life , both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you; and you shall eat of the plants of the filed; by the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, because from it you were taken; For you are dust and to dust you shall return.” Genesis 3:22 “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, lest he stretch out his hand, and takes also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever” – the Lord God sent him from the garden of Eden. Do to sin God punishes man and the earth: Genesis 6:3 “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; never the less his days shall be one hundred and twenty years” Genesis 6:7 “I will blot man whom I have created from the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them.” Genesis 6:13 “The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold I am about to destroy them with the earth. Make for yourself an ark.” God saves a righteous remnant: Genesis 7:1 “Enter the ark, you and all your household; for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this time. Genesis 8:21-22 ”I will never again curse the ground on account of man. For the intent of man’s heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done. “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, And cold and heat, And summer and winter, And day and night shall not cease.” God makes other commandments: Genesis 9:1-7 “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, And the fear of you and the terror of you shall be on every beast of the earth and every bird of the sky; with everything that creeps on the ground, and all the fish of the sea, into your hand they are given. Every moving thing that is alive shall be food for you; I give all to you as I gave the green plant. (1) Only you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood. And surely I will require your lifeblood; from every beast I will require it. And from every man, from every man’s brother I will require the life of man. (2) Whoever sheds man’s blood, By man his blood shall be shed, For in the image of God He made man’ (3) And as for you be fruitful and multiply; Populate the earth abundantly and multiply in it.” God makes a covenant with man and every living thing on the earth: Genesis 9:9-17 “Now behold, I Myself do establish My covenant with you, and with your descendants after you; and with every living creature that is with you; the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you; of all that comes out of the ark, even every beast of the earth. And I establish My covenant with you; and all flesh shall never again be cut off by the water of the flood, neither shall there again a flood to destroy the earth” This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature the is with you, for all successive generations; I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth. And it shall come about, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud, and I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living of all flesh; and never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh. When the bow is in the cloud, then I will look upon it, to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth. This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.” God separates man from each other: Genesis 11:6-7 “Behold they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they began to do, and now nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them. Come let us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” God sets His nation and their territory: Genesis 12:1-3 “Go forth from your country, And from your relatives and from your father’s house, To the land which I will show you; And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse, And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:7 “To your descendants I will give this land.” Genesis 13:14-17 “Now lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward; For all the land which you see, I will give it to you and to your descendants forever. And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if anyone can number the dust of the earth, then your descendants can also be numbered. Arise, walk about the land through its length and breadth; for I give it to you.” Genesis 15:1 “Do not fear, Abram, I am a shield to you; your reward shall be very great.” Genesis 15: “This man will not be your heir: but one who shall come forth from your own body, he shall be your heir.” “Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” “So shall your descendants be.” “I am the Lord who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to possess it.” “Bring Me a three year old heifer, and a three year old female goat, and a three year old ram, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.” “Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, where they will be enslaved and oppressed four hundred years. But I will also judge the nation whom they will serve; and afterwards they will come out with many possessions. And as for you, you will go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old age. Then the fourth generation they shall return here, for the iniquity of the Amorite is not yet complete.” “To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt as far as the great river, the river Euphrates: the Kenizzite and the Kadmonite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Rephaim and the Amorite and the Canaanite and the Girgashite and the Jebusite.” Man creates world problem with Hagar: Genesis 16:8-12 the angel of the Lord spoke to Hagar Genesis 17:1-17 and 19-21 God spoke to Abraham and Sarah Genesis 18:6, 9, 10, 13, 14, 17-21, 26, 28-32 The Lord and two angels appear to Abraham by the oak of Mamre, And they sat and eat, and spoke about Sarah and there baby, And the Lord told Abraham He would be back in one year Sarah laughed to herself, and the Lord questions why Sarah laughed, Then the Lord questioned either Himself or the angels with Him about telling Abraham what He was about to do; “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, since Abraham will surly become a great mighty nation, and in him the nations of the earth will be blessed? For I have chosen him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice; in order that the Lord may bring upon Abraham what He has spoken about him,” The Lord chose Abraham to teach his descendants to keep the ways of the Lord to be righteous and just. Then in verse 20 the Lord tell Abraham that the outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah is indeed great and their sin is exceedingly great, and that He will go down and see if they have done entirely according to the outcry, which had come to Him, and that He would know if it was true or not. ((((((( i find this somewhat disturbing why would God have to go down to Sodom and Gomorrah to see if what He had heard was true or not? For this gives the impression that He didn’t know, i am not questioning God’s authority or His power for whether He knows or not He is all powerful He has spoken all things into existence, and as i read about Noah and the flood and now Sodom and Gomorrah it is obvious that God has the power and authority and the ability to make and destroy anything He so desires. Thus brings in the fear of the Lord, for if we truly understand the power and the authority the Lord has then we should fear Him, and that fear should cause us to do our very best to obey His commandments, and live a righteous life before Him. Eagerly doing as He has commanded us. ))))))) i believe the outcry was the stench of their sin, which shows us that God is much aware of us and what we are about. Then the Lord and Abraham had a discussion about how many righteous people there would have to be for God to not destroy them. And at that same time the angels that had been with the Lord and Abraham went to Sodom and Gomorrah, and Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed. (55) October 7th 2012 Skipping over to Genesis 22:12 And he said, (the angel of the Lord) “Do not stretch out your hand against the lad, and do nothing to him; for now I know you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.” ((((((( The fear of the Lord; i see what Abraham was willing to do because of his fear of the Lord, and then looking at the Christians today and don’t see the fear of the Lord being active in most of our lives, Abraham got to see firsthand the Lord deal with Sodom and Gomorrah so why wouldn’t he fear the Lord, but we have the recoded facts of what happened, along with the flood and all the other stores in the bible, is it that we don’t take them to heart or are we just stupid? i do fear the Lord but not at the degree i think i should, but i do fear Him, for He is the one that can kill the soul, man can only kill the body. ))))))) Over the last few days i have been reading Genesis because if you go back to the beginning of something you can find the truth of what you should be or do, and what i have found is that; God is to be greatly feared, and through fearing Him we will be saved from the day of reckoning, And God has a bigger plan then we can comprehend for He not only set Abraham on His path but also the tribe of Ishmael. Genesis 16:11 The angel of the Lord said to her (Hagar) further, “Behold you are with child, And you shall bear a son, And you shall call his name Ishmael, Because the Lord has given heed to your affliction. And he will be a wild donkey of a man, his hand will be against everyone, And everyone’s hand will be against him; and he will live to the east of all his brothers. And if I have followed things right, it looks to me like this is the kingdom of islam that is causing such turmoil in the world today. The one that looks to be the political one world church and one world government we are headed to. But just like the tower of babble, Noah’s flood, and the dealing with Sodom and Gomorrah, Father God is in control and His will, will be done. And He has given a covenant to us, but we are to be righteous before Him, and obey His commandments, and in fear of failing Him we should do our very best. For His word is a two edge sword capable of cutting through the bone for either healing or destruction, of our souls. It was last November the Lord began to be prepared us for this journey, this is now the beginning of the eleventh month and the 55th day i have been writing down what He has been showing me. So far we are to; to fear the Lord, for He is the creator of all things, and all power is His. to be holy as He is holy, to be righteous as the Lord is righteous, to be perfect as He is perfect, to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness to follow His commandments, to not be conformed to this world, for this world is not our home. to be His light and salt in this world, He will provide for all our needs, to not be anxious for or in anything, to take on His yoke, to find rest in our souls, to count all things as joy. to be content in whatever circumstance we may be in. to be bold in the Lord, to show mercy and love to all people, to live in a constant state of grace. to depend on the Lord, for He is not only our provider but our provision. to allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide our lives daily, moment by moment. to listen and obey to go when and where He directs us. to trust in the Lord with all our heart, mind, soul and strength and are not to lean on our own understanding, We are still in Eugene, don’t know how long, but seem to be done here, there is a paradox taking place, a major change. (56) October 8th2012 Yesterday, felt the change hit, Bob and Julie moved back to Dunagan, Cal. He let us know right before church, and told the body assembled (28) after church, a sad day but a great day for Julie. Bob has made the choice for his family, to be there for Julie, we pray they will both be blessed by the Lord. Now how this affects us i am not sure i have work for Bryan, and he needs encouragement, so will be here for him for a season. I had been thinking about something a few days ago and this brought them up again, as I saw one person over eagerly try to step into Bob’s position, and then as Patty was reading a book to me there was a reference to 1Peter that seemed to answer my thoughts. 1Peter Peter an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who reside as aliens, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, Bithynia, who are chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood; ((((((( (fill in the blank) an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who reside as aliens, scattered throughout this earth, who are chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood; ))))))) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, (count them all as joy) that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls. As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful search and inquiry, seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow. The question or thoughts i have had is; Where do i fit in? And, who and how should someone live to be an elder, teacher or pastor? 1Peter 4:11 Whoever speaks, let him speak, as it were, the utterance of God; whoever serves, let him do so by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1. Whoever speaks, let him speak, as if God Himself was speaking; 2. Whoever serves, let him do so by the strength which God supplies; 1Peter 5:1-3 Therefore, I exhort the elders, among you, as your fellow-elder and witness of the suffering of Christ, and a partaker also of the glory that is to be revealed, shepherd the flock of God among you, not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock. 3. To be an elder, (a shepherd) should not be out of compulsion. (An elder or shepherd should not be a compulsive person). The amplified bible says, not by coercion or constraint, but willingly. Obeying the Lord 4. The elder or shepherd should have a heart of volunteering, doing his duties as service unto the Lord, and according to the will of God. 5. The elder or shepherd should fulfill his duties; without thought of gain 6. The elder or shepherd should fulfill his duties; with eagerness 7. The elder or shepherd is to be humble, fulfill his duties without pride and arrogance in position over those allotted to his charge,. 8. The elder or shepherd should prove to be an examples of Christ to the flock. 9. The elder or shepherd is to be of sober spirit 10. The elder or shepherd is to be on the alert, protecting the flock from the devil 11. The elder or shepherd is to resist the devil, and be firm in his faith in Jesus Christ 12. A elder or shepherd needs to be looked in the eye and asked one question; “Who is Jesus Christ” and if the one whom wishes to be an elder or shepherd wavers in any way or cannot say without looking away “Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life” he has no business even being considered for such an important position of authority of a flock of believers. A good sign to go by; the one who is desiring a position, is not one who deserves the position or should even be considered for such a position, for to desire a position shows no humility of the spirit or soul. And an elder or shepherd is to be humble, living his life in true humility before the Lord. 2Peter 2:1-3 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them. Bringing swift destruction upon themselves. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be maligned; And in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their disruption is not asleep. ((((((( There will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them. many will follow their sensuality, because of them the way of truth will be maligned; they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, {sin is on the move} and their disruption is not asleep. ))))))) i believe the Lord has given many warnings to the church and to each individual Christian through His word about the one who is in the church to mislead the believers, and even though we may not lose our salvation by being misled, why put ourselves and others through the hardships of allowing a wolf into the flock. For some will be led astray and eaten by the wolf. And i believe if we allow this we will be held accountable for it. Be holy as your heavenly Father is holy ((((((( When the shepherd steps out then the wolf is quick to step in and draw away the weak and lame. ))))))) PM. i saw a great disturbance today, the church One Rock is no more, i asked what would be happening on Sunday, because they had talked about meeting on Sundays and Wednesdays, and was told that “Sundays would be run like a collage class an exactly 30 min teaching (lecher) and then opened for discussion, because there are a lot of opinions out there and it is good to weigh them out. That a lot of things are proven but some aren’t and it is good to discuss them”, this is what i was also told, “ I will share what I know is true but things that are not proven our open for discussion but I will give my opinion of witch I believe is the best opinion” i do not agree with that and do not believe that scripture tells us to open ourselves up to other believes, in fact i think i remember reading to not do that. When i was told that today, my first thought was about even the elect being deceived, and the wolf’s coming in to devour the weak in spirit. Ephesians 5: 6-8 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them; for you were formerly darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light for the fruit of the light consist in all goodness and righteousness and truth, trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. (57) October 9th2012 2Peter 3: 9-18 The second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ; the day of the Lord will come as a thief, which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, on account of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat. But according to His promise we are looking for new heaven and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, and regard the patience of the Lord to be salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote to you, in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which some things are hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their destruction. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard lest, being carried away by the error of unprincipled men. You fall from your own steadfastness, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him is glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. ((((((( The Lord is coming back for us as He has said He would, and aging in 2Peter 3:14; we are told that if we are looking for His return we should be; diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless. ((SPOTLESS AND BLAMELESS)). I wonder how many times we have to be told something before we might accept it and strive to live in that manner. This journey the Lord has set us on to find the narrow path to that small gate, keeps bringing us to the point He has made over and over, that of not being conformed by this world but that of being holy, spotless, blameless. "Be ye holy as I am holy" and "While My mercies are still with you present your body a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to Me, this is to be your service of worship and DO NOT be conformed to this world, You are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect." It is rather disturbing to me to see so many people who call themselves Christians but say we can’t be holy only Jesus is holy, if that is so then that would make Him a liar, for in His word we are told by Him “be holy as I am holy” and since He has told us to be holy then i am sure He will help us to live holy lives before Him, for if it were not so then why bother telling us to do so, He said be holy, for if it were that because of His sacrifice on the cross we could live our lives however we want to after accepting His gift of salvation then what difference would it make if we lived holy lives or not. And if that were so then what do we do with; Romans 12:1 I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. (to love) Or 1Corinthians 7:34 “That she may be holy both in body and spirit” (And don’t waste my time or yours, with oh, you took that out of context, it doesn’t matter what this text is about, “that she may be holy” means the same thing no matter where it is written “that she may be” means it is possible…it’s no different than if one was to say she went to college so that she may be educated. Or she ate dinner so that she may be full. Get it?) Or Ephesians 1:4 Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love (Before the foundation of the earth was formed He chose us to be holy and blameless in Him, if He chose us to be that way then it is possible for us to choose to follow Him, live in Him and be holy by Him.) Or Colossians 1:22-23 Yet He has reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach IF YOU CONTINUE IN THE FAITH FIRMLY ESTABLISHED AND STEADFAST, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which is proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and which I Paul was made a minister. (It is through His death that He can present us to Himself holy and blameless, but that doesn’t make it any the less our calling or responsibility to live a holy life before Him, for we are told “Be holy as I am holy!” we may never do a good job at being holy but we are called never the less to be holy) Or Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension. (if we are not to be holy, live holy lives, than how could we have holy hands to lift to the Lord in prayer) Or Mark 6:20 Herod was afraid of John, Knowing that he was a righteous and a holy man. (If John could be righteous and holy before Jesus was crucified and came back to life, then what is wrong with us?) And from what it seems the word of God is saying we (the church) are to be holy with one another; in love, in forgiveness, and grace. (1Corinthians 13) I totally and whole heartily believe that when Father God or Lord Jesus tells us to do something, or if they tell us not to do something, they provide us a way to accomplish what they have asked or told us to do, or not to do. And when Jesus said in Matthew 5:48 “Therefore you are to be perfect, as you’re heavenly Father is perfect” i think that is exactly what He meant, This seems to be the will of the Father that we live a holy and righteous life, not that we say i am saved through Jesus so God sees me through Jesus as holy, so i can live with sin in my life with no repercussions. Conclusion; Our lives before the Lord are to be lived out as holy and as righteous as we possibly can, but by and through the blood of Jesus, Father God see us as clean, but just like the seven virgins we need to do our part, to be ready for His return, and I have come to believe that doing our best to live a holy, blameless, righteous, perfect life before our Lord is the will of our Lord God. And it seems to be that the world has a problem with that, and tries to get us to not look at the impact that buy living in this manner what an impact we could have on the world, but instead wants us, no, almost demands us to conform to the world view of things. i like this one “HO so you thank your holy, so you think your beater then us.” The world try to make us think being different is a bad thing, that by making the choice to fallow the teachings in the bible and making the choice to not allowing sin (every whim or fad that comes along) to overtake us and guide our lives, is a bad thing and so they make fun of, and try to make us feel less then, but my bible says DO NO CONFORM TO THIS WORLD, the sad part is that a lot of Christians say and do these same things, i think because they know they are living in sin and don’t want to be reminded of it, so if they can discourage the true followers of Christ, so that they are not living out what the word of God says then they won’t feel as bad them self’s. But the truth is the truth and either the bible is truth or it is not. The word of God will stand on its own it doesn’t need to be interpret by man, influenced by worldly thoughts, concepts, emotions, and customs. Father God and Lord Jesus spoke and no one had to interpret or explain what they said when they said it, We are to be in this world but not of it, this world is not my home, i do not need to get this world’s acceptance, i need to be approved and accepted by Jesus and Father God, and by the blood of Jesus, accepting His forgiveness, Colossians 1:22-23 Yet He has reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach if you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which is proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and which i was made a minister. i don’t care what this world or man may think about me, for neither can or will save my sole, but my Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus for it is Jesus who will make the final call on my life, so when Jesus Himself says; Matthew 5:48 Where Jesus in His own words said; “Therefore you are to be perfect, as you’re heavenly Father is perfect.” Or when God Himself spoke in Leviticus 11:45, 19:2, or 20:7 11:45 “For I am the Lord, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, to be your God; thus you shall be holy for I am holy” 19:2 “Speak to all the congregation of the sons of Israel and say to them, “You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.” 20:7 “You shall consecrate yourselves therefore and be holy, for I am the Lord God.” “and you shall keep my statutes and practice them; I am the Lord who sanctifies you.” And it has been said to me that when Jesus came the Old Testament had been made complete, so we don’t read it as for direction but for examples, of who God is and how He views Israel, In Matthew 5:17 Jesus says “But don’t think I have come to destroy the law or the profits, I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill.” And as far as knowing God it seems that he is definitely determined that as followers of Christ Jesus that we should follow His word, and with God being the same yesterday, today and forever, then when in the old testament He said “thus you shall be holy for I am holy”, “you shall be holy, for I the Lord your God is holy,” “You shall consecrate yourselves therefore and be holy, for I am the Lord God.” and “you shall keep my statutes and practice them; I am the Lord who sanctifies you.” Jesus didn’t come to take anything away from Father God, or diminish anything He spoke. Romans 12:1 present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship Be holy as I am holy (58) October 11th2012 So how to be holy? That would be to live a life without the influence of this world, and sin, the truth of the matter is i can’t. For even as i have been righting this, the Lord has shown me sin in my life, i can’t understand why some say we can’t be holy, and say once saved always saved, and then go right on sinning, at this life style i become angry with them. And the Lord took me back to Matthew 5:22 “But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court.” So I must repent (turn from my sin) and ask the Lord to for forgive me. Repent; to turn from, and head toward the father. i ask the Lord what am i to do when i see the people around me so wrapped up in sports, Oregon this and Oregon that, it has become a god to them, but yet they say they are Christians, and Father God has said “You shall have no other gods before Me.” And they sin and are proud to do so, Why can’t i slap them down? And the Lord said they are mine, you must in love show them the error in them but it is their choice to repent or not, if they turn on you and become defensive brush the dust off and move on, you have no further responsibility for them but to pray, pray that their hearts will be softened, their eyes to be opened and the will of the Father be done in their lives. You have no right to become anger with them, but the sin in them. Be angry and sin not. And the Lord shared with me; Being holy is a growing prose’s, it started when i asked Jesus in to my heart and gave my life back to Him. And I asked Him what about Matthew 5:20 where You (Jesus) said “For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven. And He shared that if i am faithful every time the Holy Spirit brings to my awareness even the smallest sin and i truly repent and turn from it that my righteousness shall surly surpass that of the scribe and Pharisees, for they become so well taught they felt they were better than others and had power and authority over others, keep your heart soft and opened, and stay humble, to My Spirit for guidance and you will be holy, for I the Lord God, your God am holy. (59) October 12th2012 Who or what is a righteous man; Genesis 6:8-9 Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God. Proverbs 10:30 The righteous will never be shaken, Proverbs 11:28 The righteous will flourish like the green grass. Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, as for the proud one, his soul is not right within him; But the righteous will live by faith. Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Matthew 5:10 Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:20 “…for I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 6:1 Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them. Matthew 6:33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 13:43 The righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. ((The kingdom of heaven)) Matthew 25:46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life. Romans 1:17 For in it (The gospel) the righteous of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “But the righteous man shall live by faith.” Timothy 1:9 Realizing the fact that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, 1Peter 4:18 And if it is with difficulty that the righteous is saved, what will become of the godless man and the sinner? ((it is difficult because as human we at time either by choice or by habit sin)) 1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1John 2:1 I am writing these things to you that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; Who was righteous in the sight of the Lord? Noah, David, Joseph (mere men who God said were righteous, and if they were considered righteous and we have been told to be righteous then so can we.) We are to be righteous; To walk with God To be blameless The righteous; Will never be shaken (from the truth of the Father) Will flourish Will live by faith Will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of Father God Will enter into eternal life If we go after righteousness We will be blessed Will be satisfied Could and probably will be persecuted for the sake of righteousness Inherit the kingdom of heaven If our righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, we shall enter the kingdom of heaven. Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you. What is righteousness? It is keeping clean of sin, keeping free of the world, obeying the word of God. (60) October 14th2012 Yesterday it was made clear again that we are done in Eugene, and it seems we have a choice to make, stay here, back to Reedsport, north to Monmouth, or perhaps even south into California. If we stay here Patty can go to work at the coffee house if it ever gets open, don’t really like that option, back to Reedsport would be back around the kids again but Patty would have to be around the mold again, Monmouth we could help Patty’s Mom and Dad, or south it would be warmer for winter. Personally i think we should go to Monmouth. Had to put out $337.00 on the truck this week starter went out, now that’s $600.00 for repairs so far and would have been $1,300.00 if Jason hadn’t have gotten the fuel solenoid $234.00 instead of $780.00 and put it in for free. Jason’s been a real blessing. Last night was reading to Patty and read something that i had read years ago, had it underlined in pencil so it would have been back in the early 70ds and for some reason had not caught or thought of since, but remember reading it and praying that the Lord would give me wisdom and understanding, and teach me His word so that i may live for Him. i was setting on the floor at the time in the house by the Immanuel Church in Portland, and was drinking hot tang with cinnamon in it, funny how a memory works, almost like i was back their again. 1John 2:24-29 As for you, let that abide in you which you heard in the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and the Father. And this is the promise that He Himself made to us: eternal life. These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you. And as for you, the anointing which you received from Jesus abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you abide in Him And now, little children, abide in Him, so that if He should appear, we have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming. If you know that He is righteous, you know everyone also who practices righteousness is born of Him. So it seems we need to be asking the Lord to teach us what His word is telling us, and not listening to man’s take on the word of God. And rather than the efforts of the church of being to teach the gospel it should be the goal of the Christian to share the gospel with everyone the Lord brings into their path, so that they may accept Him and be taught by the Spirit. Because of the anointing (the filling of the Holy Spirit) that we received from Jesus when we accepted Him, we have the only teacher of the word of God we need, and we are told in the word that is and was anointed by God, and put in the bible for our teaching; you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and if the word of God is true, and the Holy Spirit is teaching us what more needs to be taught then what we are taught by the Spirit of God Himself. (61) October 15th2012 Yesterday we went to the coffee house where they had Church? I’m not really sure you would call it church, it was more like tear it down and rebuild it and see if it stands. i guess that it is fine for people that really don’t believe Jesus is coming back soon. And that they have all the time in the world to play games, rather than to find out what the Lord might require of them, or how they should live their lives as His followers, as children of Father God, as children walking in faith. For either the Bible is the Word of God or it is not. As for me it is so I do not need to do any more than accept it as that and do what God’s word directs me to do, to live in the manner I have been shown by the Holy Spirit of God. The kid will make a good debater or perhaps a motivational speaker, very educated and a slick, smooth talker. i believe that the Lord has a deeper walk for us, so that we can stay on that narrow path leading to His small gate. Or why else would He have taken the time to have brought us this far. We understand will be outcast in this world, if we don’t try to fit in, but that is fine with me. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. And not be conformed by this world. Oh, wait a minute isn’t that what God’s word tells us to do? Well that’s what I bible says anyways. i will work down at the coffee house to help Brian get it open, but it seems once that is done we will be moving on, this town has distractions at every turn and no one seems to truly care to learn about Christ or live for Him, it is glitz and glimmer, smoke and mirrors. It seems like every one i have met has something they are either hiding or denying. And no matter what conversation somehow it always gets back to the ducks or the beavers, football or basketball, seems to be the god of choice around here, and the God of the universe comes in third or fifth. The educated seem to make things so complicated. i truly believe that the Lord is the same today, yesterday, and forever, but the church has become so complacent to the word of God, and compliant to the world that they have ended up mixed both together in a big bowl, then grabbing out just the parts they want at the moment, whatever is comfortable at the time, and reject the rest. And it seems that the word of God is what is being left behind. It makes me sad, but i can’t imagine how Father God must feel. Deception runs just below the service, and will trip up those who are not dedicated to the Lord. i look forward to His coming, and want to be on that narrow path when He returns, living this life pleasing to Him, not men. (62) October 16th 2012 Sunday evening we looked at a home in Ennis Montana, a mobile in a park, but can be moved and so move in ready. It’s all there, appliances and furniture, all we would need to get is a bed. And it can be moved, asking $5,500.00, park fee $150 month, talked with a lady called Ruth, she told me that it was reduced to $4,000.00 just before we talked, will be calling her today to see what we can do, if the Lord wills we will purchase it, to have some where to live when, Lord willing we move to Montana. Patty and i both still feel the pull to go to Montana, Saturday we were discussing taking the few dollars we have left each month and opening up a kitchen and doing soup’s and salad’s for the people who are hungry, with a Christian atmosphere, old Christian hymns and music, along with good Christian books on DVD playing at all times, and a bible study on Sundays and Thursdays. Food would be free but donations would be accepted. We will need operating expenses to get opened, but by the will of God and with the leading of the Holy Spirit i am sure we will find it, or it will find us. The new church not a nonprofit 501c3, but a church willing to pay Caesar what is Caesar’s Matthew 22:21 Jesus said to him; “Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s; and to God the things that are God’s A church dedicated to the telling of the love of God and the Lord Jesus, to help others to find the narrow path leading to the small gate. So that; we won’t be beholding to the government to have them dictate to us what we can and can’t say. Our beliefs are; God has offered forgiveness for our sins and assurance of eternal life through faith in His only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. John 3:16-18 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish; but have eternal life; For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 17:3 "This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” How can we know God? Man is able to know the true and living God through the truth of His Word, the Bible. The Bible shows us God’s character and His plan for all mankind. It is by reading His Word that we come to the knowledge of the righteousness of God and what He requires of us. What prevents us from personally knowing God is our sin, it has separated us from God in our corrupted state we cannot know Him personally and cannot experience His love. In Romans 3:23, God’s Word says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” We were created to enjoy fellowship with God, but because of our sin (that is anything that is against the righteousness shown to us in God’s Law) we cannot achieve that fellowship. This includes anything less than perfect obedience to God's commands. Romans 6: 23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” The ultimate result of death without Christ is an eternity in Hell Matthew 25:41 "Then He will also say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels.” Revelation 20:10 “And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Romans 5:8 But God demonstrated His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Galatians 4:4 But when the fullness of time come, God set forth His Son, born of a women, born under the Law. John 4:10 Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.” Acts 4:12 “And there is no salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.” It is not just enough that we know these truths. We must individually place our trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. To repenting of our sins and believing in Jesus Christ as God's Son who came to earth as a human to die for our sins so that we might have everlasting life with Him. Placing our trust in Jesus requires faith, faith in Christ Jesus even though we don't see Him face to face. And salvation is by faith alone, not by any works we could do to please God. John 20:29 Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.” Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not yet seen. John 6:28-29 “They said therefore to Him, ‘What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent,” Ephesians 2: 8-10 “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” John 1:12 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” Those who place their trust in Jesus become Gods children, and become heirs to heaven and are promised the eternal pleasure of glorifying God (Romans 8:16-17; Galatians3:29). As our life here on earth progresses, God will continue to work in our hearts, daily changing and conforming us into the image of Christ, Himself (1 John 3:12). We will begin to live lives of righteousness. Obedience to God will not be a burden to us, but rather a joy. The invitation to place your trust in Jesus Christ by faith is open to all. If you are not a child of God; confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Acts 2:41 So then, those who had received His word were baptized; This is what we will share with those whom the Lord brings us in contact with. We do not believe that as a Christian we are required to have a business license to do this, for we are not a business we are just informing people of what there is out there for them, and what could be. (63) October 21st 2012 Last entry was last Tuesday a lot has taken place in last five days, the computer broke down, cost $185.00 to fix, and heard from a realtor in Ennis Montana, she has a mobile that is fully furnished right down to the paper towels and toilet paper, the price was down to $5,500.00 this was on Wednesday, talked with her on Thursday and was down to $4,000.00 and talked with her again on Friday and she told me if we had $2,500.00 we could have it, it does need a little work; three windows are cracked and the shower surround needs to be painted or replaced, and carpet needs to be cleaned, and outside needs a paint job. It is going so cheap because the man that lived there moved to an assisted living and then passed away so the family wants to get rid of it and get on with life. So we are praying if this is in God’s plan for our lives that we will come up with the money to purchase it, it can be moved or can stay where it is for $150.00 a month. We could do the work on it and turn around and sell it the realtor said that the estimates for repairs were between $900.00 and $1,200.00 and that the trailer should sell for $18,000.00 to $22,000.00 so would be a good way to make some income. So we are praying and waiting on the Lord, to see what His plan is. We have $210.00 only $2,290.00 short. The realtor is also looking for a building we can set up a church and a soup kitchen. (64) October 24th 2012 It has been a few days but we are still in Eugene sending off paper work for mobile today, and then wait to see what happens. It seems that not that many people will be going home when Jesus returns, many may be saved but not that many will be going when Jesus comes back for His bride the church, if you read the word the requirements to get in to heaven are strong, be perfect as your as your Heavenly Father is perfect. It is that narrow path leading to the small gate. You may be saved from hell fire but if you have not humbled yourself and repented of your sins, then you’re not on that narrow path leading to the small gate, for that seems to be part of the walk on the narrow path. Don’t think you will be on the first flight out. Not worth arguing about either you are taking the steps to get and stay on the narrow path or you aren’t, and the rest will be sorted out or burnt up at the end of times. Repenting, just another part of the journey to the small gate. (65) October 28th 2012 Spent the last four days putting together a web site and started rebuilding the roof on the storage shed for Marsha, where we are parked. Talked to the realtor she said they can’t find the owner of the place in Ennis. Been thinking more about the American dream, being in Eugene it has been sad seeing all the people, that call themselves Christians but pay more tribute to their stuff and things then to the Lord, I have heard this place compared to the emerald city more than once, and i see the people here looking at it in aaaa, there is so much waste in this place, one young man i have meet 17 has a bachelor’s degree in something, I asked him what he douse all day and he said; riding mi unicycle or a bike all day, what a waste he has all day and yet dose nothing. He comes from a family whom say they are Christians but are so raped up in the world they can’t see anything ells. Will be so glad to be out of here, the word is rejected at every turn, it is like brush the dust off and go to the next town. The Lord willing we will be out of here November the 4th and either headed to Montana or Monmouth Oregon, praying it will be Montana. But where ever it is the Lord has us to go we will still serve Him in whatever manner He allows us to. Our time here has not been what we expected, but has been a blessing both to us and seems to have been to others especially Marsha where we are parked. Probably won’t be righting for a wall i am going back over what i have written, to help it sink in. (66) November 1st, 2012 The Lord shut the door on the home in Ennis (they haven’t been able to find the owner) But found out today we have a home in Hamilton Montana, found out about it on Monday October the 29th and were told today that it is ours, we will need to have some income to live there about $300.00 a month, but it seems that the Lord is moving us there, now rather than in the spring, with the big storm in the east it has caused a warm front to move up almost to the Canadian border and the Lord has given us a window of time to drive up in good weather, we should be there by Wednesday evening and it is supposed to start snowing aging on Thursday evening and Friday. Lord willing that is. (67) November 2nd 2012 Leaving Eugene Oregon headed to Reedsport to see the kids, then Salem to see Patty’s Mom and Dad, then to Prineville to see my Mom and Tim, before we take off for Montana on Tuesday heading to Missoula Montana, took the shorter rought, was going to stay in a motel Tuesday night but Patty wonted to keep going, so we drove through some fantastic country but was dark so she couldn’t see it. Got to Missoula around 1:30 Wednesday morning and got to bed around 2:30 got up around 8: am and eat kind of strange but not a lot of places in Missoula serve breakfast, so eat at a casino. Headed to Hamilton around 11:00 and got their about noon. Eat lunch and then went to look at house, needs floor leveled but other than that is in great shape, realtor had even put some furnisher in it for us, nice things a leather lazy boy recliner, dinner table and four chairs, and a real nice area carpet, about $3,000.00 worth of furniture. The Lord is good. (68) November 4th 2012 Jason accepted the Lord and was baptized today, praise God. He has a soft spirit now, what a difference talked with him yesterday and sounded much better on the phone, The Lord has used Him to be such a blessing to us and now He has been blessed. (69) November 11th 2012 We are going to go to the Bitterroot Valley Calvary Chapel this morning. i haven’t been righting as you can tell, a lot has been going on and the Lord has been blessing us every day “think you Lord” i have been trying to get things done for Patty but am tired every other day and not getting much dune. Keep praying we don’t get sucked back in to the worldly things and concerns, even though we now have a house payment aging and all that goes with that. The ways of man, i don’t want to be involved with. It is concerning what happened in the country on election day but God is still in control and He will provide for our needs, as His people we have no need for fear or worry, trusting in His each and every moment, of each and every day, for each and every need. Think you Lord for caring for us, we are, and have, nothing without You, and with You if we don’t have something it must be because we don’t need it, or don’t ask. Think You. Think you would hear a lot about repentance in church after what has happened but i guess that’s a bad word even for Christians now days. (70) November 12th 2012 We went to church yesterday,,,,,,, Wow, the pastor talked with us after the first service and asked where we came from and how we got to Hamilton Montana we shared our journey how the Lord had been directing us over the last year with Him, and we came to help feed people at little or no cost, and to provide meals for the ones whom are in need, and he got a bit excited and took us in to the next part of the building and showed us their new He Brews Café and then offered it to us to do whatever we would like to, we had been talking about starting with lunch and then as needed breakfast. We will meet with the pastor this week to further discuss the whole thing, He has offered it to us at no expense, they will pay utilities, insurance and for advertising and perhaps even the food to get started. We will have a suggested donation but it will not be mandatory in any way, $2.00 to $3.00 for lunch, and perhaps a reservation only dinner once a month with a $10.00 suggested donation, to help support the rest of the week. What a shock,,,,,,,,, the pastor said they had been praying for someone to have the vision to do this, and the Lord had put it on our hearts and caused it to grow in us, and now it looks like the Lord has the time and place for us to do this for Him. (71) November 13th 2012 i got up this morning at 4:45 and read back over what the Lord has shown me so far and then went back to bed at 6:am just got up aging it is 9:am. As i sleep those three hours and when i awoke the Lord really impressed on me aging this place is not our home our home is in heaven, and the urgency of staying on that narrow path to the small gate, and that the narrow path has room for many more, and that we need to be encouraging as many to get on that path as we possibly can, the path is not just for us. The scripture says “go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” Mark 16:15. i am not righting against this or speaking against this, reading through the bible it leaves me with a strong feeling that we need to take care of home first, i don’t mean our buildings or our finances, stuff and things, but our spiritual lives and the spiritual growth of our family and be a witness to the ones around us, like dropping the pebble in the pool of water, but at the same time if the truth of the Father is not received we are to brush the dust off and move on, or when the Lord says go we are to go. And with that in mind, it seems to me that the American church has missed the mark, over the years we have been so quick to send people and money to foreign countries and have neglected the discipleship of our own people, take care of home first, we need to be strongly planted in the Lord before we go out, and that is not to say we need to go to college bible or either wise. We need to be in the word taught the word and live the word, Paul was not known as Dr. Paul, he was known as Paul a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God. And if you think that missions is to be only in other countries than you better give everything you have to other countries in hopes that someday someone will read Matthew 16:15 and have the word grab them so that they will come to this country and speak the truth here before it is too late, for we live in such a sinful country and not many in the church seem to care much less notice, this country is going down and we as Christians need to be about gathering as many as we possibly can for the Lord, those in the church whom hear the word each week but do not act upon it, will sleep thought the second coming, just as they have sleep through life. This may all seem a bit heard but i believe is true. It is time to wake up! And start applying the word of truth to each of our lives, to put a halt to the so called American dream and start fallowing the Lord God, and living our lives before Him, investing all of our resources to further His Kingdome rather than to continually throwing them away trying to build and support our homes and lives, our kingdom. Matthew 16:24-28 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If any one wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake shall find it. For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels; and WILL THEN RECOMPENSE EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS. Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who shall not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom”. It is time, , , , no it is past time for us as Christians to give up on the lives we have built here on earth Romans 12:2 “DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD” If you are storing up treasures on this earth you need to realize you are lost, and your soul will be lost and as Jesus said “what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” there is but one thing you can give for your soul, and that is your life! Whether you support our ministry or not at least turn from your worldly ways fully and totally give your life to the Lord Jesus and take what you have been saving for yourself and spend it to gather others to the Lord, if you do so your reward in heaven will be great but if you continue to hold on to what you think you have you will lose it all, even perhaps your soul. (72) November 14th 2012 Went by the Church yesterday, now this would be the second time we have spoken with the pastor, , , , , , The Lord keeps showing us how big and how much He cares, over the last few days i have been praying “Lord how will we afford the food to get started” i have not machined this to anyone and then pastor told us yesterday “don’t spend your own money on food to get started, spend mine, we fell that God has a raiment of people out there who will step up to support this ministry, and help win souls for Him”. So we give of our time and energy Will you do your part to help others find their way home? (73) November 16th 2012 We went to a Wednesday study taught by a prison chaplain, not sure what to make of it, stayed up till midnight last night going over the paper work for the class most of the questions don’t have much to do with the scriptures given to answer them, you have to really pull some fast ones to get them to fit. I don’t think God or Jesus or the Holy Spirit met for it to be that confusing to get someone to relies they need the Lord. Or am i that far off??? i really have a hard time when someone says you need this or that book to help you understand the bible, i don’t remember reading anywhere in the bible that the Lord directed us to read any other book. In fact i remember reading that the Holy Spirit will be our teacher, and is the only teacher we need. Oh but there i go aging getting out of line and wanting to take and fallow the bible for what it says. (74) November 19th 2012 i know the Lord brought us here, but seems we are setting back in to being settled in a place aging, but not a place where we can afford to live, no room for a garden or chickens. Witch seems to mean we are doing the grocery store for everything aging, and are tied back into the power grid and all that goes along with that. i am trying to not become bummed out about it, but this seems to where God wants us for now, it is better than Eugene Oregon, a lot less people, and clean air, and the water is great well water, first time in years we haven’t had to filter the water to drink. (75) November 20th 2012 This morning i got up at 4:35 and read over what i have previously written, and going over the verses involved in it, looking to see if i have misunderstood something. This journey has seemed to be about getting on the right path in which the Holy Spirit it seems to have laid out rather clearly, i am to live a holy and righteous life, So i am to; to fear the Lord, for He is the creator of all things, and all power is His. to be holy as He is holy, to be righteous as the Lord is righteous, to be perfect as He is perfect, to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness to follow His commandments, to not be conformed to this world, for this world is not our home. to be His light and salt in this world, to really know He will provide for all my needs, to not be anxious for or in anything, to take on His yoke, to find rest in my souls, to count all things as joy. to be content in whatever circumstance i may be in. to be bold in the Lord, to show mercy and love to all people, to live in a constant state of grace. to depend on the Lord, for He is not only my provider but my provision. to allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide my live daily, moment by moment. to listen and obey to go when and where He directs me. to trust in the Lord with all my heart, mind, soul and strength and i am not to lean on my own understanding, 1. When i speak, i should speak, as if God Himself is speaking; 2. If i am to serves, i should do so by the strength which God supplies; not my own. 2Peter 2:1-3 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, Bringing swift destruction upon themselves. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be maligned; And in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their disruption is not asleep. to ask for wisdom and then be wise and allow the Holy Spirit to lead, and bring decrement, to what is being said and taught in the church. 2Peter 3: 9-18 The second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ; the day of the Lord will come as a thief, Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, and regard the patience of the Lord to be salvation This journey the Lord has set me on, to find the narrow path to that small gate, keeps bringing me to the point that He has made over and over, that of not being conformed by this world, but to the point of being holy, spotless, blameless. "Be ye holy as I am holy" and "While My mercies are still with you present your body a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to Me, this is to be your service of worship and DO NOT be conformed to this world, You are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect." And aging when in Matthew 5:48 Jesus said “Therefore you are to be perfect, as you’re heavenly Father is perfect” i think that is exactly what He meant, Matthew 5:48 Jesus in His own words said “Therefore you are to be perfect; as you’re heavenly Father is perfect.” Or when God Himself spoke in Leviticus 11:45, 19:2, or 20:7 11:45 “For I am the Lord, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, to be your God; thus you shall be holy for I am holy” 19:2 “Speak to all the congregation of the sons of Israel and say to them, “You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.” 20:7 “You shall consecrate yourselves therefore and be holy, for I am the Lord God.” “and you shall keep my statutes and practice them; I am the Lord who sanctifies you.” This all seems to be the first step of becoming what the Lord as in mind for us to be. And then this morning i thank He has started the next step to becoming what He wants of me. Putting others needs before my own and treating all mankind equally. (76) November 21st 2012 The Lord shared this to me this morning; Matthew 10:9-10 Do not acquire gold, or silver, or copper for your money belt; or a bag for your journey or even two tunics, or sandals, or a staff; for the worker is worthy of his support. Matthew 10: 16-23 Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; therefore be shrewd as serpents, and innocent as doves. But beware of man; for they will deliver you up to the courts, and scourge you in their synagogues; and you shall even be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. But when deliver you up; do not be anxious about how or what you will speak. For it is not you who speaks, but it is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you, And brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and CHILDREN WILL RISE UP AGAINST PARENTS, and cause them to be put to death. And you will be hated by all on account of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved. But whenever they persecute you in this city, flee to the next, So He said go so we went, We are doing what He has told us to do, so He will have those to support us. We are among the wolves so we are to be shrewd and innocent, and we are to beware of man, and when or if we are delivered up before the courts or scourged in the synagogues (bitten up in the church), or brought before governors or kings for the sake of the name of Jesus; we are not to be anxious about how or what we are to say, for the Spirit of the father will speak through us. We will be betrayed by brothers in the church and even relatives, and possible even to the point of death. By speaking the truth of God we will be heated by both the church and the world but He is in control and we have nothing to fear but fear its self for He will keep us unto the end, so we need to serve Him unto the end and not weaver from Him, and He will provide our needs. (77) November 23rd 2012 We heard from Patty’s Dad, Her Mom is not doing well,,, , , remembered my Dad and when He got bad and the time i spent with Him, He went home at midnight the clock just bonged He took in a deep breath and then let it all out and He was gone, and He had the most peaceful smile on His face that i have ever seen. i miss Him, but am so grateful He hasn’t been around to see what has happened to this country He fought for in two wars, and so grateful He Knew the Lord as His savior and got to go home with Him. Patties Mom will get to go home also, She is a true believer, She is so much like my Dad; quiet but has so much to say, and can say it without even opening Her mouth. (78) November 26th 2012 Another Wow day, we went to first service yesterday, the word was aging very well presented, Galatians 5:13-18 For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedoms in to an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOUR SELF.” But if you bite and devour one another, take care least you be consumed by one another. But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for those are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please, But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. As followers of our Lord Jesus we are called to freedom, but that freedom doesn’t give us the freedom to sin, to allow our flesh to rule over the Spirit. We are not to be self-centered, we are not to love our selves, or to put ourselves before others we are called to love one another to serve one another, 14 says the whole law is fulfilled by this one statement “YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOUR SELF.” Love your neighbor as yourself, not love yourself so you can love your neighbor, self-love is self-condemning it is sick to see and to be around. And Pastor spoke about how Christians seem to devour each other and being consumed by one another. Insert; (((Found out that He is a typical pastor now days, can share a great message but He doesn’t live what He preaches, i have learned this first hand, after being around Him for several months.))) If we choose to walk by the Spirit, we will not do the deeds of the flesh. For the flesh is set against the Spirit and the Spirit is set against the flesh, because the two are in opposition to each other, and we need to choose witch one we will live by, it is our choice. And if we choose to live under the Spirit we are not under the law. And He spoke about how freeing that is and how we have no restrictions we can love on any one and every one in and through the Spirit. It is our call as to how we will live either under the Spirit or under the law. Then after service I met a man who came for the first time, He is lonely and scared we talked for quite a wall, laughed and cried; he will be ok. Then i went in to the He-Brews Café where Patty was talking with Mike too noisy I couldn’t hear much, but when we were leaving She told me that He told Her of a restraint in Darby Mt that He would like to take us to, the owners are looking to sell so they can go and take care of sick family members and that we may be able to get it with no money down just start making payments. It has a three bedroom house that goes with it, has around 50 seats and has been totally remodeled, we drove out to see where it is and looked in the windows WOW, we will be going back Tuesday to have lunch and meat the owners. And we are praying if it is the Lords will it will all fall in to place, it would be a great support for the free meals in Hamilton, and Danny and Katie a place to live and work. Then got home and Danny called and let me know He gave our phone number to a couple in Houser Or. That told Him they are going to send us a check so we can get a bed, what a blessing looks like by the end of the week we might not be sleeping on the floor any more. Right after that the realtor came by and wonted to know if we needed another chair, (one of us sets on the floor each night we only have one chair) so we drove out to her place and picked up a leather chair from the American home collection made by Lazy Boy a char we wouldn’t of ever thought we could afford, along with the ottoman, so now we can both set in comfort at nigh wall Patty reads. And then she through in a 32” RCA tv and a stand to set it on, so we can watch our DVD on it instead of the laptop. And told Patty She is going to get new sliding doors for the bedroom closet for her and that if we needed anything ells to let Her and Her Husband know. All in all it was a real WOW day, God is sure good. But sense we chose to get read of everything and fallow Him where He leads, to obey His leadings, the Lord has been blessing us each day along this journey. (79) November 29th 2012 The lord is doing something aging but as normal we are not given the details, we will be going back on Monday December the 3rd to speak with the people that own the café in Darby, at this time it is just a knowing it will all work out the way the Lord wants it to, Danny and Katy are wonting to be here by the end of January. (80) December 3rd 2012 Talked with the owners of the café and looks like the Lord is putting something together, that will be a blessing to all of us. (81) December 5th 2012 Got a call from owner of café in Darby, said they didn’t want to do the deal they don’t feel safe about it, because we have given to many things away. Took me back to November 26th when i said; “Sense we chose to get read of everything and fallow Him where He leads, to obey His leadings, the Lord has been blessing us each day along this journey”. At first it hurt that they saw things that way but more that they don’t understand you can’t out give God, and they don’t seem to allow the Father to lead their lives, in everyday things, I had picked up on the 3rd that they do have a lot of fear in their lives, and fear comes from not trusting the Father, and that He has His best for you. But we got our answer and i thank it was a test for me, to see how i would handle the whole thing, i pray i did ok. And I pray they will be able to sell the café for what they won’t and by when they need to. (82) December 19th 2012 Haven’t been on computer for 14 days the Lord has been keeping us byssi most days, we delivered Christmas gifts to three family’s for Angel tree, we had our first day of fixing breakfast and lunch down at the He Brews Café had 12 people and it seemed they were blessed, i know we were. Tomorrow we will do it aging and then at 2: pm we will go over to the senior center to help prep for their hen Christmas dinner, and on the 21st well help serve. One thing that the Lord woke me up thinking about was this; i made it to the narrow path and am still on it, but i sat down for a rest, and sense the path is an uphill path when you set down you can slip back words,, in other words iI need to keep going forwards or i could slip backwards, and i think i did feel the slipping start to happen, so up and back at it, and as the Lord leads i will go. Need to keep my ears and heart open for the Holy Spirit so i can hear His still small voice each time He speaks to me. i thank i will spend the next couple weeks going back over the last six months of what the Lord has shared with me and really work on getting the website up to date. Merry Christmas and happy New Year, May the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit fill and cover your life with the life giving power of the blood of Christ, so that you will be filed and overflowing; to be bold and fearless in the power of the Lord, sharing His love and truth personally with others. To look upon each person that comes in to your life as a gift from God, a being that someday will die and their sole will either spend eternity in Heaven or hell, and that you would know; you may be the last person they have contact with before their body’s parish and the fat of their sole is set for eternity. (83) A few sunrises later December 30th 2012 One year/365 days from the first morning the Lord woke me up and started me on this journey to find the path that leads to the small gate, it was around 3:00am Saturday November 12th 2011, and we arrived in Montana Monday November 12th 2012 around 2:00am., didn’t actually realize that until about an hour ago as i was going back over my notes from the beginning. Left home and all in Sprague River, Oregon behind on July 1st 2012 Arrived in Hamilton, Montana November 12th 2013 Five months and twelve days, 135 days total for a trip that could have been driven in one - two days. And have relearned a lot but still a long ways to go! Seem to have fallen back into a lot of old habits, or perhaps should say have not been able to let go of some of the old habits. So just like the children of Israel heir we go around the mountain aging! Lord i ask that this time You would make my heart and soul soft and more intent to your word and the leading of Your Holy Spirit. And my feet set firm on Your narrow path. Romans 8:29 whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren; i know i am to be conformed to the image of Jesus, and that the lord has set in me the ability to bring forth many more to the Father, but do to my own lack of self-preservation i have not been faithful to do my part with each person the lord has brought in to the path He has set me on. Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. We are to be conformed to the image of Jesus not to the world, this seems rather straight forward, i have always been one that after making a dissection to do something i do it, or to stop doing something i stop. And have always had a pride in that, when i would see others struggling with a bad habit i would think and most times say; why don’t you just make the dissention to stop and then do it! ((Be like Me make the dissection and do it.)) Well i have found that over the years i have become weaker at making dissections and sticking to them then when i was younger, i could blame it on the world, or the way i was raised, or perhaps my environment or any number of other thing, but i know it all boils down to the fact that i am a sinner, and like most of us think of myself first, not willing to let go of the things i consider mine, Loosing track of the fact that i have nothing of value except for what the Lord has provided for me. The thing that i have picked up along the way are just weighing me down, it seems that as the Lord lightens our load by removing our burdens we pick up more things to replace the weight, and usually adding even more. Be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ and Do ’Not be conformed to this world! So that others might be brought into the kingdom of God to walk the narrow path also. Guide line to walk the narrow path, seems to be simple, be like Jesus! But being like Jesus will be the difficult thing, because growing up in America we are taught to take control of our lives. Jesus put Father God in control of His, so that is what we must also do. (1). Give God our life, ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins and then He will send the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, and then each moment of each day we have to give Him the power and authority to direct our day and life. So how should we live? Mathew 5:21 We should not be angry with a brother, We should not speak of a brother as being empty headed or good for nothing, and We should not call a brother a fool. If we have offended a brother we need to go to him and make things right with him before we can approach God, with our offering, i think this has to do with offering up our lives to Him also Romans 12:1 I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. We are to speak straight forward not wavering in anything Mathew 5:37 But let your statement be yes, yes or no, no and anything beyond these is of evil. We are to in all things not to return evil for good, and give to those whom ask more then they ask, to be stretched, to allow our lives to be stretched out, so we may serve others. We are to love our enemies, and pray for those who persecute us, in order that we may be sons of the Father who is in heaven. We are to treat everyone the same, to greet each person we meet the same, with a grateful heart, that we can be Jesus to them. And for where it is located then i believe that Matthew 5:21-47 explains how we can be perfect, Recap (1) We are not to commit murder (2) Don't be angry with a brother. (3) Don't speak bad of a brother to put them down. (4) Don't call a brother a fool. (5) If you have done something to offend a brother go to him and make it right. (6) Make friends quickly with an opponent at law, if you are being sued settle out of court make it right you can (7) We are not to commit adultery, (8) Not to look on a woman to lust after her, or anything else. (9) We are not to divorce, we are given a way out but i believe we are not to divorce. (10) We are not to make oaths, we are to have our words be truthful and a Yes means yes and our No means no (11) If anyone sue us we are to give them than they ask, (12) We are to be merciful to those whom are friends as well as enemies. (13) Greet an enemy the same as you would greet a brother; treat everyone with a gracious and joyful heart. Proverbs 6:16-19 There are six things which the LORD hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: 1. A proud look, One how has a look of arrogant, self-important, self-righteous, superior, smug, overbearing, prideful look. 2. A lying tongue, 3. Hands that shed innocent blood, 4. A heart that devises wicked imaginations, 5. feet that run rapidly to evil, 6. A false witness who utters lies, 7. And one who spreads strife among brothers. Those who cases trouble, conflict, discord, contention, and dissention Acts 10: 34-35 God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right, is welcome to Him. First Timothy 4:1-16 The Spirit speaks expressly saying, that in the latter times some will depart from the faith, paying attention to seducing spirits, and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy (suggestions, advice or counsel) of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, Men who forbid marriage and promote not eating meat, which God has created to be received with gratitude by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with gratitude; For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. By pointing out these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished in the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine, which you have been following. But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness; for bodily exercise is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, for it holds promise of the present life and also for the life to come. This is a trustworthy statement and worthy of your full acceptation. For it is for this we both labour and suffer reproach, because we have our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those that believe in Him. Command and teach these things. Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe. Till I come, give attendance to the reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to doctrine and for teaching. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you through prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. Meditate upon these things; give yourself wholly to them being absorbed in them; so that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed and pay close attention to yourself, and to your teaching and doctrine; continue in these things: for in doing this you will insure salvation both for yourself, and those who hear you.

413 days, and seems like only another step closer
