Proverbs 3:27-35
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in your power to do it.

Do not say to your neighbor,
“Go, and come back, and tomorrow I will give it,”
When you have it with you.

Do not devise harm against your neighbor, While he lives securely beside you.

Do not contend with a man without cause, If he has done you no harm.

Do not envy a man of violence And do not choose any of his ways.

For the devious are an abomination to the LORD;
But He is intimate with the upright.

The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked,
But He blesses the dwelling of the righteous.

Though He scoffs at the scoffers,
Yet He gives grace to the afflicted.

The wise will inherit honor,
But fools display dishonor.

{{ So, lets break it down one statement at a time:
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in your power to do it.

(( it is not your reasonability to provide for the entire world,
but if God has given you the means to do so it is your reasonability to help provide for those who are in the Lord who have a need.
The ungodly will drain you dry but the godly will only ask for what is truly needed. If they ask at all.
That does not mean that if you see the ungodly down and out,
in need you do not give them food clothing or shelter,

this is where wisdom comes in,
to be able to see and understand who is truly in need and who is a only a user.

The user will always be in need,
and will take all you have jest because they say they have need of it. ))

Do not say to your neighbor,
“Go, and come back, and tomorrow I will give it,”
When you have it with you.

(( If you have the means to help are going to help someone in need do not use it as leverage over them,
give it at once, to withhold you may think it gives you power over them, but what it really shows is the evil in your heart. ))

Do not devise harm against your neighbor,
While he lives securely beside you.
Do not contend with a man without cause,
If he has done you no harm.
Do not envy a man of violence
And do not choose any of his ways.
For the devious are an abomination to the LORD;
But He is intimate with the upright.
The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked,
But He blesses the dwelling of the righteous.
Though He scoffs at the scoffers,
Yet He gives grace to the afflicted.

(( We are not to plot against those around us,
Life is not a commutation with those around us,
To contend is to compete with,
(keeping up with the Johnsen attitude)
This causes envy, strife, bitterness it makes you both rivals,
causing you to compete between each other.
And can lead to violence.
We are not to envy the ungodly and as a Christian should not desire any of their ways,
or their possessions.
Those who live an ungodly life no matter what they may possess the are still an abomination to the LORD,
and why would you want to a part of that?

“the curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked” (the ungodly).
But the house of the righteous He blesses.

Even tough you may not have all the toys or fine goods as your neighbor,
If what you have has been given to you by the LORD your GOD it should be enough,
If you Love the LORD and are seeking His Kingdom and His righteousness,
what He provides will bring you great contentment.

Striving to have what others have only brings discontentment and anguish.
Wisdom, understanding, discretion should be attributes we are striving for.
Not the thing of the world nor its ways.

Psalm 23
A Psalm of David.

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.
He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Proverbs 3:35
The wise will inherit honor,
But fools display dishonor.

The foolish strive to keep up with the world (the ungodly)

But the wise strive after the ways of the LORD their GOD,
Seeking wisdom and understanding, to live a life of discretion,
a life of honor,
excepting instruction and discipline from God.

Proverbs 3:13
How blessed is the man who finds wisdom
And the man who gains understanding.

For her profit is better than the profit of silver
And her gain better than fine gold.
She is more precious than jewels;
And nothing you desire compares with her.
Long life is in her right hand;
In her left hand are riches and honor.
Her ways are pleasant ways
And all her paths are peace.
She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her,
And happy are all who hold her fast.

The LORD by wisdom founded the earth,
By understanding He established the heavens.
By His knowledge the deeps were broken up
And the skies drip with dew.

My son, let them not vanish from your sight;
Keep sound wisdom and discretion,
So they will be life to your soul
And adornment to your neck.
Then you will walk in your way securely
And your foot will not stumble.
When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

Do not be afraid of sudden fear
Nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes;
For the LORD will be your confidence
And will keep your foot from being caught.

{{ there are a couple things i found interesting here;
One: Wisdom is most always referred to as She
Two: She is stated to be more valuable than silver or find gold
Three: We are told "Do not be afraid of sudden fear"

One:
This stuck out to me because in this world most would rather gravitate to those who the world think is handsome or beautiful, and all is ratted on looks, when in the reality of things looks have no great value.
One can be the best looking and be the most useless. I understand why when true value comes from wisdom and understanding
And keeping sound wisdom and discretion takes more time and effort than finding someone who looks handsome or beautiful, or that new shinny vehicle, phone, new clothing, you can fill in the blank.
We are so occupied thinking money, stuff and things will fill the need in our lives; that money, stuff and things will bring us wealth that we miss the true wealth that is available to us.
Father God lets us know straight out that wisdom, understanding and knowledge from Him are of so much more value then even silver and refined gold.

Mankind thinks searching out wisdom takes too much time and effort,
And that is true it takes way more time and effort to something of great value compared to going along with the world and the ways of the world.

But as is stated in Proverbs 3
to pursue wisdom brings true wealth,
You will gain understanding.
You will gain a long life,
You will gain riches,
You will gain Honor,
You will gain peace,
You will gain life,
And you will live a happy life.

Wisdom is truly beautiful:
To find one who has found wisdom from the Lord God you then have truly found beauty,
For their life will be full of understanding, honor, peace their life will have true joy,
for they will live a life of sound wisdom and discretion.

To live a life of Discretion:
Is to live a life that operates by;
common sense,
that is sensible,
that is levelheaded,
one that is prudent,
will have the ability to responsible decisions,
the quality of having or showing discernment or good judgment.

These things are of more value than a bank vault full of Silver and gold.

Proverbs 3:13-18
How blessed is the man who finds wisdom
And the man who gains understanding.

For her profit is better than the profit of silver
And her gain better than fine gold.
She is more precious than jewels;
And nothing you desire compares with her.

Long life is in her right hand;
In her left hand are riches and honor.
Her ways are pleasant ways
And all her paths are peace.
She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her,
And happy are all who hold her fast. }}

So let’s honesty take a deep look inside,
Are you pursuing wisdom?
Or have you taken the essay road and just followed after the world?
Gaining worldly wisdom, worldly knowledge?
Rather than to take the time in the word of GOD, and taking hold of the wisdom there in,
Holding the word of GOD in your heart, binding it to your heart, your soul, your spirit.

Is your life a life of;
understanding
True riches, (friends, the thing that you truly need to live – food clothing and shelter)
honor,
peace,
are you truly living a happy life.

Think about it.
Seek first His Kingdome and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.
Matthew 6:33

Godly Wisdom should be your desire not the worldly wisdom.

and the third sudden fear:
having Godly wisdom gives the holder of it a sound mind,
the mind of understanding, with the ability to quickly defuse fear.

Let Wisdom be your friend and
Go with GOD and He will go with you.

Proverbs 3:1-12 My son, do not forget my teaching,
But let your heart keep my commandments;

For length of days and years of life
And peace they will add to you.

Do not let kindness and truth leave you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and good repute
In the sight of God and man.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.

In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.

Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the LORD and turn away from evil.

It will be healing to your body
And refreshment to your bones.

Honor the LORD from your wealth
And from the first of all your produce;
So your barns will be filled with plenty
And your vats will overflow with new wine.

My son, do not reject the discipline of the LORD
Or loathe His reproof,
For whom the LORD loves He reproves,
Even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights.

{{{{ rather self-explanatory, Don’t forget the teachings of the Father.

Deuteronomy 11:18
“You shall therefore impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul;
and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand,
and they shall be as frontals on your forehead.
You shall teach them to your sons,
talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up.
You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates,
so that your days and the days of your sons may be multiplied on the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give them,
as long as the heavens remain above the earth.
For if you are careful to keep all this commandment which I am commanding you to do,
to love the LORD your God,
to walk in all His ways and hold fast to Him”

Proverbs 6:21
Bind them continually on your heart;
Tie them around your neck.

Daniel 10:12
Then he said to me,
“Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God,
your words were heard,
and I have come in response to your words.

(((((    put your name where the name of Daniel is,
for the Lord your God is telling you the same thing.
If we will set our hearts on understanding and we will humble ourselves before our God He will hear our words (our prayers).
To set your heart on understanding;
is to deduct your time to learn and apply the teachings of GOD,
you can’t do that be spending time with the world and its ways.
It can only be dune by spending time with the lord, in His word and in prayer. ))))

(((( you can’t keep His commandments if you do not know them;
Christ Jesus was asked what is the first and foremost commandment,

And He responded with these words, and they are being said to you.

Matthew 22:37-40
And He said to him,   (( He says to you ))

“ ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART,
AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’
This is the great and foremost commandment.

The second is like it,
‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’
On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”

Can you, are you following these two commandments?
The first and foremost commandments of GOD. ))))

Proverbs 3:3-4
Do not let kindness and truth leave you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and good repute In the sight of God and man.

Proverbs:
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.

In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.

Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the LORD and turn away from evil.

It will be healing to your body
And refreshment to your bones.

Honor the LORD from your wealth
And from the first of all your produce;
So your barns will be filled with plenty
And your vats will overflow with new wine.

My son, do not reject the discipline of the LORD
Or loathe His reproof,
For whom the LORD loves He reproves,
Even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights

(( take correction from the Lord your God heed His reproof
The Lord is constantly evaluating or analyzing deeds, our works and our words,
When we need correction, He disciplines us,
so that our path may be corrected and we may keep on the path He has set before us.
If we are willing to except His discipline and correction in our life,
He will bless us with greater wisdom and understanding

Do not lean on your own understanding
Do not be wise in your own eyes

Except the discipline of the Lord your God and make corrections in the way you think, live and speak.
Live a life of wisdom, understanding and knowledge in the Lord,
and live with Him throughout eternity,
rather than the life of the foolish who will be cast in to the pit of hell

think about it,
is it worth playing the fool so you can have your own way?
Do you truly believe your argent pride, your stubbornness, your willful disobedience will save you?

Think about it Jesus is standing at the door of your heart eagerly waiting for you to open up and let Him in.

Reverbs 3:15-22
“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot;
I wish that you were cold or hot.
So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.

Because you say,
“I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,”
and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked,
I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich,
and white garments so that you may clothe yourself,
and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed;
and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.

Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore, be zealous and repent.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock;
if anyone hears My voice and opens the door,
I will come in to him and will dine with him,
and he with Me.

He who overcomes,
I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne,
as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”

go by the title Christian?
if so then you are clamming to be the Church.
so listen to what the Spirit of GOD is saying to you.
repent, seek the Lord and gain wisdome, understanding and knowledge from Him.
instead of from the world.

Proverbs 2:1-8
My son, if you will receive my words
And treasure my commandments within you,

Make your ear attentive to wisdom,

Incline your heart to understanding;
For if you cry for discernment,
Lift your voice for understanding;
If you seek her as silver
And search for her as for hidden treasures;

Then you will discern the fear of the LORD
And discover the knowledge of God.

For the LORD gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
Guarding the paths of justice,
And He preserves the way of His godly ones.

{{{{   receiving GOD’s word and binding them in your mind and heart.
As something of great worth or value,
As a collection of precious things,
To Cherish, honor to love to show love for,
To have great desire and compassion for,
To obey without regret for dread.

This is how you discern, understand and know who GOD is,
and what He is capable of,
And by doing so understand the fear of God.
The fear of the Lord.
Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

For the LORD gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
Guarding the paths of justice,
And He preserves the way of His godly ones.   }}}}

Proverbs 2:9-22
Then you will discern righteousness and justice
And equity and every good course.
For wisdom will enter your heart
And knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;
Discretion (good judgment) will guard you,
Understanding will watch over you, to deliver you from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things;
From those who leave the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness;
Who delight in doing evil and rejoice in the perversity of evil;
Whose paths are crooked, and who are devious in their ways;
To deliver you from the strange woman,
from the adulteress who flatters with her words;
That leaves the companion of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God;
For her house sinks down to death and her tracks lead to the dead;
None who go to her return again, nor do they reach the paths of life.

So, you will walk in the way of good men
And keep to the paths of the righteous.
For the upright will live in the land
And the blameless will remain in it;
But the wicked will be cut off from the land
And the treacherous will be uprooted from it.

{{{{   By binding the word of God in your heart as wealth and a great treasure, knowing the fear of God as to who He is and what He is capable of doing,
Holding fast to His instructions and teachings, He will give you wisdom, understanding and knowledge.

This wisdom, understanding and knowledge cannot come by way of the world,
It cannot come by way of worldly ways thoughts or teachings.
True wisdom, understanding and knowledge can only come by way of the word of GOD,
By knowing His words, teachings and commandments,
By fearing the Lord your God to go beyond just knowing of them,
to the point of obeying His teachings and commandments,
acknowledging them as a great treasure.   }}}}

Living a life of self-shows a life that does not fear the Lord God,
A life that has not the wealth of wisdom, understanding nor knowledge

You cannot serve two masters.
And as we have read only the foolish reject the love of Christ our Lord.

Want to find peace and security?
Then pursuing wisdom from God.
And gain true and great security.

Proverbs 1:20-33
Wisdom shouts in the street,
She lifts her voice in the square;
At the head of the noisy streets she cries out;
At the entrance of the gates in the city she utters her sayings:

“How long, O naive ones, will you love being simple-minded?
And scoffers delight themselves in scoffing
And fools hate knowledge?
Turn to my reproof,
Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you.
Because I called and you refused,
I stretched out my hand and no one paid attention;
And you neglected all my counsel
And did not want my reproof;
I will also laugh at your calamity;
I will mock when your dread comes,
When your dread comes like a storm
And your calamity comes like a whirlwind,
When distress and anguish come upon you.

Then they will call on me,
but I will not answer;
They will seek me diligently but they will not find me,
Because they hated knowledge
And did not choose the fear of the LORD.
They would not accept my counsel,
They spurned all my reproof.
So they shall eat of the fruit of their own way
And be satiated with their own devices.
For the waywardness of the naive will kill them,
And the complacency of fools will destroy them.

But he who listens to me shall live securely
And will be at ease from the dread of evil.”

{{  The warning from wisdom, Will we listen?
Will we desire Her?
Do you live a life of a scoffer?

( scoffer:
One who shows contempt for wisdom by scorning or mockery, to scoff, to jeer, to ridicule, scorn. )

Do you mock wisdom?
Do you laugh at or criticize wisdom?
Do you make fun of wisdom when confronted by her?
Do you make fun of wisdom in a loud and angry way?
Do you treat wisdom with contemptuous disregard?
Does your life manifest feeling or express deep hatred or disapproval of wisdom?
Do you have feelings or dose your life show contempt towards wisdom?

Only fools hate knowledge. }}

{{  Will you listen to wisdom, will you grasp hold of her and heed her words?
Or will you wait till it is to late and then be left to your own ways, playing the naïve (the fool) and be killed, destroyed. (condemned to hell for eternity)?

Harsh?
Maybe so, but ether you will fear the Lord your God and grasp hold of wisdom or live the life of the scoffer, the nave (the fool) and parish.
Sometimes the truth is heard to except,
but it is no less the truth and the reality of life.

Repent ecolodge your ways to the Lord,
ask for His forgiveness,
turn your face to wisdom and absorb from her all you can.

Psalms 111:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments; His praise endures forever.

Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Here are the remaining matches.

Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Will you grasp hold of wisdom or play the fool?
that chose is yours to make.
