Matthew 5
3. Poor in spirit = not arrogant, not prideful
4. Mourn = to be devastated by the sin in one’s own life
5. Gentle = loving, kind, not a forceful spirit, not a demanding spirit
6. Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness = a true desire to know the Lord GOD and His commandments
7. merciful = to put others before yourself, to have compassion with others
8. pure in heart = pure motives in what is said and dune
9. peacemaker = to dray together not to cause division
10. persecuted for the sake of righteousness = persecuted for living a righteous life in Christ Jesus, for living by His commandments
11. when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me = standing for the truth of Jesus and His words, living by His Commandments, living a holy upright life in Christ Jesus.
12. In all things even wall being insulted and persecute, when the world falsely says all kinds of evil against you because of Jesus We should rejoice in the Lord and be glad. For it shows we are doing the right thing and truly living out the life Christ Jesus has for us. We are living by the commandments of Christ.

Who we are to be and how we are supposed to live:
13. as a believer in and follower of Christ Jesus we are to be salt to the world = salt may burn but it is a healer. By living in the manner listed above we are to speak and live out the life of Christ to the world.
14-17. we are to be the light of Christ in the world = accepting Christ as Lord in and of our life He asks Father God to send His Spirit to live in us, by excepting Christ we have the light of His Spirit in us.
And we are not to hide that light from the world.
We are to live our lives for Christ as a follower of Christ, so that just as the moon reflect the light from the sun in to the darkness we are to live our life so that it reflects the love and life of the Lord Jesus.

17-20 We are not to alter the words of God, His teachings nor His commandments, we are to live out our live fully embracing His commandments with an attitude of gratefulness, with gratitude for what Father God and His Son Christ Jesus have done for us.
So grateful that we surrender our lives to Him and then live our lives for Him that His glory may be seen through us by the world.
By living in this manner our righteousness will surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, for our lives will not be lived for ourselves but rather for Christ, but if we are living for our own gratification, we will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Christ is love, we are to live a life reflecting Christ;
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

love does not seek its own; just as Christ wall in the Garden spoke these words to His father “your will be don” we are to live a life that says to the Lord Jesus even so your will not mine be done.

Matthew 5:20
“For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.”

The scrobes and Pharisees knew the words of Father God but lived lives of arrogates and pride. putting their will and priorities before Gods will, putting themselves first and the Lord second in their own lives to keep their power and authority over the believers in God.
This is why we are to seek first the Kingdome of God and His righteousness, to live our lives by putting Him first in all things, reflecting His light to the world, not our own desires but His.

By living for Christ Jesus, allowing the Holy Spirit to direct our every path, shinning the Lord Jesus through us and not living for ourselves demanding or rights and our authority, we can surpass the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, and enter the kingdom of heaven.

Father God, i come to you in the Name of Your Son Christ Jesus and ask for forgiveness of my arrogant pride, for living for my selves demanding my own way i ask for forgiveness for not putting other before my selves, and not putting You and Your will before my own. Lord thank you for your forgiveness and allowing me to live for You, help me to put You first in my live so greatly that the world would see You in my words and deeds.

Lord You are: the Alpha and the Omega the beginning and the end,
You are Him who is and who was and who is to come,
You are the One who holds the seven angels of the seven churches in His right hand, the One who walks among the seven churches,
You are the one who has the keys of death and of Hades,
You are the one Who was dead, and has come to life,
You are the One who has the sharp two-edged sword,
You are the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and who’s feet are like burnished bronze,
You are who has the seven Spirits of God. You are He who is holy, who is true, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens,
You are the Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God.

Lord Jesus be my Lord and saver, thank you for not only being my provider but also my provision, for beyond you i have need of nothing, so i surrender this life you have given me back to you to use as you see fit to bring glory to You not to me.
Amen and Amen.

Will you be ready?
The Lord Jesus is coming back.
Wil you be ready?

Matthew 7:13-14
“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

[[   Which path are you on?
Which gate are you going to go through?
We have all been given the opportunity to take the narrow path, we have been given the directions of how to get on it, but so many chose to wonder off it. We are approaching one gate or the other, and it is coming towards us at a raped rate.
Jesus warns us that all who say Lord Lord will enter in to the kingdom of GOD

Matthew 7:21-23
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.”

The most frightful words anyone could ever hear
“”I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME.””   ]]

Matthew 7:24-27
“Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.
And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.
Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.”

[[   Want to find the narrow path leading to the small gate?
Take the time to read Matthew chapters 5-7 and adapt your life to it.
Repent of the way you live and follow after Christ Jesus and His Father.
In Matthew 5-7 Jesus lays out how, as Christians (followers of Christ) should live,

Aging speaking to those who say “I am a Christian."
As Paul said in Romans 1,
I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes

Do we truly believe the word of God?
Is our faith truly planted in Him and His word?
Do we truly live for Him?
Or are we using the word of God to justify our worldly desires? Living two separate lives.
One acting holly and one living in the ways of the world?

If you are living in this manner, it shows a life being lived that does not truly belief the words of God, here are a few things that you should be wear of, if you live in unbelief.

the Consequences of unbelief

Romans 1:18-23
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.

[[   The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.
By truly looking at creation we can see the attributes of God, His power and divine nature can clearly be seen, and being understood through what He has made, and we have no excuse for not seeing it. Creation is so complex but yet most orderly and organized.

Mankind has become so wise, that we have become nothing but fools, That instead of worshiping the God of creation we worship the created. Worshiping stuff and things, both the life that God has created, and the things man created, (possessions).   ]]

Romans 1:24-25
Therefore, God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Romans 1:26-27
For this reason, God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.

Romans 1:28-32
And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.

[[ this may piss of quite a few of you.
Romans 1: 24-32    is speaking to the Church, the Christians, not the world.
There are so many in the church to day who are worshiping the creation of God rather than the creator, GOD.
Maybe you are not one who is sexually perverted but you need to understand being attached to the things you may poses is just as damming as those who are. And you have no right to pass judgment on the perverted because in your own way you are also perverted,
Ask your self theses question and honestly answer them.
Could you walk away from the things you own?
Could you sell all you have and give the money to the pore?

Does your life contain any of the following?
wickedness, greed, envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice, gossip, slander.
Does being insolent, arrogant, boastful have any part in you?
Do you think of evil ways and things?
Are you disobedient to your parents?
Do you say and do things without understanding?
Are you trustworthy?
Are you unloving, unmerciful?
Do you house evil in yourself or your dwelling?
If you are willfully partaking in these things you need to realize you are a hater of God.
For to love GOD you will take steps to obey His commandments and look forward to His return.   ]]

{{   know this we all have some of these things going on in side of us.
The thing is; as a Christian being dedicated to the Lord Jesus, we push forward to be holy as He is holy, to obey the Father to obey Christ Jesus to obey the leading of the Holy Spirit.
We have all fallen short of the glory of GOD, but through repentance we all have the opportunity to be cleansed by the blood of Christ, and by excepting His free gift of salvation be seen by Father God as clean from sin.
The key is to follow His commandments and the greatest of these are
Mathew 22:36-39
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND. This is the great and foremost commandment.
The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF”

YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND
If this is the path you have chosen, you will eagerly seek to do the will of the Father. }}

So are you eagerly looking to spend time with the Lord?
OR with the things of this world?
Think about it!

Hebrews 12:12
Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble, and make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed.

Hebrews 12:14-17
Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord.
See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many can be defiled; that there be no immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal.
For you know that even afterwards, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought for it with tears.

for whom GOD loves;

Hebrews 12:1
Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

[[    “Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us” if you read Hebrews 11 you will understand who the witnesses surrounding us are.

Encumbrances = obstacle

fixing our eyes on Jesus; to put Jesus first in all we do, keeping our eyes, heart mind and soul attached to Him and Him alone at all times, not focused on the world and the things of the world.

The author and perfecter of faith; Jesus will make our faith in Him grow in to perfection, a faith that is so deep in Him that our lives will be a mire of His love and peace to those around us, a witness of His love for not only us but for the unbeliever also.

Jesus was willing to endured the pain and sham of the cross because He saw what the results would be, not only for Himself but for those of us who put our faith in Him.

His reward; that He would set at the right hand of the throne of His Father (Father GOD ), and ours, that we would live with Him and have life in Him for eternity.

Likewise we should not be looking at the pain we must go through in this world but rather we are to look to the cross of Christ Jesus, we should be looking to the return of Christ Jesus and to living with Him though out eternity.

This can only be accomplished through faith, faith in Christ Jesus.   ]]

Hebrews 12:3
For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

A Father's Discipline
Hebrews 12:4
You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin; and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons, “MY SON, DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE LORD, NOR FAINT WHEN YOU ARE REPROVED BY HIM; FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES, AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES.”

[[   with out discipline we run wild partaking in all sorts of sin, In the reality of human nature, we are always looking for discipline, but as humans living in humanity and not in Godliness our discipline is corrupt, it is not consistent so can be looked upon as unjust.
GOD’S discipline can seem to be heard to except, but His discipline always has a direction and that direction is to get us to our final destination. That destination is to be with Him in His kingdom for eternity. It is for our good not our destruction.   ]]

[[[    So what are we told about discipline;

Job 5:17
“Behold, how happy is the man whom God reproves, So do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.

Psalms 50:17
“For you hate discipline, And you cast My words behind you.

Proverbs 3:11
My son, do not reject the discipline of the LORD Or loathe His reproof,

Proverbs 6:23
For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching is light; And reproofs for discipline are the way of life

Proverbs 12:1
Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, But he who hates reproof is stupid.

Proverbs 13:1
A wise son accepts his father's discipline, But a scoffer does not listen to rebuke.

Proverbs 13:18
Poverty and shame will come to him who neglects discipline, But he who regards reproof will be honored.

Proverbs 15:5
A fool rejects his father's discipline, But he who regards reproof is sensible.

Pros 15:32
He who neglects discipline despises himself, But he who listens to reproof acquires understanding.

Proverbs 16:22
Understanding is a fountain of life to one who has it, But the discipline of fools is folly.

Proverbs 19:18
Discipline your son while there is hope, And do not desire his death.

Proverbs 19:20
Listen to counsel and accept discipline, That you may be wise the rest of your days.

Proverbs 19:27
Cease listening, my son, to discipline, And you will stray from the words of knowledge.

Proverbs 22:15
Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; The rod of discipline will remove it far from him.

Proverbs 23:12
Apply your heart to discipline And your ears to words of knowledge.

Proverbs 23:13
Do not hold back discipline from the child, Although you strike him with the rod, he will not die.

First Corinthians 9:27
but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

Ephesians 6:4
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

First Timothy 4:7-8
But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness; for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

Second Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.

Hebrews 12:4-11
You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin; and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,
“MY SON, DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE LORD, NOR FAINT WHEN YOU ARE REPROVED BY HIM; FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES, AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES.”
It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline?
But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.
Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live?
For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness.
All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.

Rev 3:19
Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore, be zealous and repent.

[[   discipline; something in the world we have learned to not look forward to, but is something we should desire and have great adoration for, for with out discipline we can not be lead in to repentance and with out repenting of our wrong doings will not be forgiven.

Just like when someone gives you a gift wrapped up in a box, if you never open the box you can not really experience the gift.

Forgiveness and salvation are gifs from father GOD assessable to us through the Christ Jesus our Lord.
They are held out to us but unless we repent the gift will never be opened to us to full enjoy. If you remember this as you are going through being disciplined

Hebrews 12:6
"FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES, AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES.”

Heb 12:10
For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness.

Proverbs 13:24
He who withholds his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him diligently.

As believers in Christ Jesus, we are adopted sons of Father GOD.

Father GOD, please discipline me, thank you for show me where i am wrong and direct me in Your righteousness so that I may know your forgiveness and salvation.   ]]

Hebrews 12:4-7

A key point to keep in mind:
if you do not want to be disciplined then go to the Lord and repent of the sins in your life you are aware of, repent turn from the sins and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ, excepting His gift of forgiveness and walk in His truth.

it is your choice, make it wall you can with out going through the hardship of discipline, or go through the hardship, but if that is the path you chose to take remember this has been your choice and don't complain about it.
