for whom GOD loves;

Hebrews 12:1
Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

[[    “Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us” if you read Hebrews 11 you will understand who the witnesses surrounding us are.

Encumbrances = obstacle

fixing our eyes on Jesus; to put Jesus first in all we do, keeping our eyes, heart mind and soul attached to Him and Him alone at all times, not focused on the world and the things of the world.

The author and perfecter of faith; Jesus will make our faith in Him grow in to perfection, a faith that is so deep in Him that our lives will be a mire of His love and peace to those around us, a witness of His love for not only us but for the unbeliever also.

Jesus was willing to endured the pain and sham of the cross because He saw what the results would be, not only for Himself but for those of us who put our faith in Him.

His reward; that He would set at the right hand of the throne of His Father (Father GOD ), and ours, that we would live with Him and have life in Him for eternity.

Likewise we should not be looking at the pain we must go through in this world but rather we are to look to the cross of Christ Jesus, we should be looking to the return of Christ Jesus and to living with Him though out eternity.

This can only be accomplished through faith, faith in Christ Jesus.   ]]

Hebrews 12:3
For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

A Father's Discipline
Hebrews 12:4
You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin; and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons, “MY SON, DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE LORD, NOR FAINT WHEN YOU ARE REPROVED BY HIM; FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES, AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES.”

[[   with out discipline we run wild partaking in all sorts of sin, In the reality of human nature, we are always looking for discipline, but as humans living in humanity and not in Godliness our discipline is corrupt, it is not consistent so can be looked upon as unjust.
GOD’S discipline can seem to be heard to except, but His discipline always has a direction and that direction is to get us to our final destination. That destination is to be with Him in His kingdom for eternity. It is for our good not our destruction.   ]]

[[[    So what are we told about discipline;

Job 5:17
“Behold, how happy is the man whom God reproves, So do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.

Psalms 50:17
“For you hate discipline, And you cast My words behind you.

Proverbs 3:11
My son, do not reject the discipline of the LORD Or loathe His reproof,

Proverbs 6:23
For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching is light; And reproofs for discipline are the way of life

Proverbs 12:1
Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, But he who hates reproof is stupid.

Proverbs 13:1
A wise son accepts his father's discipline, But a scoffer does not listen to rebuke.

Proverbs 13:18
Poverty and shame will come to him who neglects discipline, But he who regards reproof will be honored.

Proverbs 15:5
A fool rejects his father's discipline, But he who regards reproof is sensible.

Pros 15:32
He who neglects discipline despises himself, But he who listens to reproof acquires understanding.

Proverbs 16:22
Understanding is a fountain of life to one who has it, But the discipline of fools is folly.

Proverbs 19:18
Discipline your son while there is hope, And do not desire his death.

Proverbs 19:20
Listen to counsel and accept discipline, That you may be wise the rest of your days.

Proverbs 19:27
Cease listening, my son, to discipline, And you will stray from the words of knowledge.

Proverbs 22:15
Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; The rod of discipline will remove it far from him.

Proverbs 23:12
Apply your heart to discipline And your ears to words of knowledge.

Proverbs 23:13
Do not hold back discipline from the child, Although you strike him with the rod, he will not die.

First Corinthians 9:27
but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

Ephesians 6:4
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

First Timothy 4:7-8
But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness; for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

Second Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.

Hebrews 12:4-11
You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin; and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,
“MY SON, DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE LORD, NOR FAINT WHEN YOU ARE REPROVED BY HIM; FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES, AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES.”
It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline?
But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.
Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live?
For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness.
All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.

Rev 3:19
Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore, be zealous and repent.

[[   discipline; something in the world we have learned to not look forward to, but is something we should desire and have great adoration for, for with out discipline we can not be lead in to repentance and with out repenting of our wrong doings will not be forgiven.

Just like when someone gives you a gift wrapped up in a box, if you never open the box you can not really experience the gift.

Forgiveness and salvation are gifs from father GOD assessable to us through the Christ Jesus our Lord.
They are held out to us but unless we repent the gift will never be opened to us to full enjoy. If you remember this as you are going through being disciplined

Hebrews 12:6
"FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES, AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES.”

Heb 12:10
For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness.

Proverbs 13:24
He who withholds his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him diligently.

As believers in Christ Jesus, we are adopted sons of Father GOD.

Father GOD, please discipline me, thank you for show me where i am wrong and direct me in Your righteousness so that I may know your forgiveness and salvation.   ]]

Hebrews 12:4-7

A key point to keep in mind:
if you do not want to be disciplined then go to the Lord and repent of the sins in your life you are aware of, repent turn from the sins and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ, excepting His gift of forgiveness and walk in His truth.

it is your choice, make it wall you can with out going through the hardship of discipline, or go through the hardship, but if that is the path you chose to take remember this has been your choice and don't complain about it.

Insight in how we shall live:

Philippians 1:6
For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:9-11
And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ; having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Philippians 1:21
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Philippians 1:27
Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ,

Philippians 1: 28-29
in no way be alarmed by your opponents—which is a sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you, and that too, from God.
For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,

Philippians 2:3-8
Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves;
do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.
Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Philippians 2:14-18
Do all things without grumbling or disputing; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain. But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all. You too, I urge you, rejoice in the same way and share your joy with me.”

Philippians 3:2
Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision;

[[ this circumcision is circumcision of the heart not of the flesh ]]

Philippians 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Philippians 4:11-13
Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.
I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

Philippians 4:23
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.

[[   These statments from scripture are a glimpse in to how we should look at life and how we should conduct ourselves in this life.
it is not an all-encompassing list but rather a beginning   ]]

You Walk in the Truth

Third John 1:1-2
The elder to the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth. Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.

[[   the introduction, but something stuck out to me; John makes a statement
“I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.”

Prosper in all ways and be in good health, just as our souls prosper.
Being dedicated to the Lord Christ Jesus, being in His word the bible, spending time with Him in prayer, being grateful for what He has done for us, living a life with an attitude rooted in gratitude for all things concerning the Lord Jesus.
Our souls will prosper.
This can take place whether we live in good health or not.
Our souls can be so much healthier than our body’s our bodies are dying but our soul will live on forever.

A healthy prospers soul has more value than a healthy body.
But yet John prays that we would prosper in all things, just as our soul prospers.
So live a life that is prospering in the Christ Jesus and see what happens in the rest of your life.

Always put your relationship with the Lord Christ Jesus first, make it your number one priority. ]]

Third John 1:3-4
For I was very glad when brethren came and testified to your truth, that is, how you are walking in truth. I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.

Third John 1:5-8
Beloved, you are acting faithfully in whatever you accomplish for the brethren, and especially when they are strangers; and they have testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God.
For they went out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. Therefore we ought to support such men, so that we may be fellow workers with the truth.

[[ third John 1:5-8 is an ensample of being what we are to do as we prosper in the Lord, and what we are to do with what we receive when prospering in the Lord we receive worldly wealth. It is not for our own use to gather thing to our self but rather to help those who we know who are out there sharing the love and truth of Christ Jesus. ]]

Third John 1:9-10
I wrote something to the church; but Diotrephes, who loves to be first among them, does not accept what we say.
For this reason, if I come, I will call attention to his deeds which he does, unjustly accusing us with wicked words; and not satisfied with this, he himself does not receive the brethren, either, and he forbids those who desire to do so and puts them out of the church.

[[ do you know those in the church “who loves to be first” those who through their worldly accomplishments they think they have arrived and should be in control and direct others as they should live, as to what they should do and not do.
And are spreaders of faults words to make themselves to have more power and authority then they actually have.

Or perhaps you are one of them, do you think your worldly possessions set you above others who do not have.
If so realize you are not truly prosperous nor loving toward fellow believers.
And have not truly accepted the way of the Lord Christ Jesus. ]]

Third John 1:11-15
Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good.
The one who does good is of God;
the one who does evil has not seen God.
Demetrius has received a good testimony from everyone, and from the truth itself; and we add our testimony, and you know that our testimony is true. I had many things to write to you, but I am not willing to write them to you with pen and ink;
but I hope to see you shortly, and we will speak face to face. Peace be to you.
The friends greet you. Greet the friends by name.

[[   Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, (do not do the things the world does, do not except or participate in the things that are sinful) but rather participate in what is good.
The one who does good is of God;
the one who does evil has not seen God.   ]]

[[   we are to live in truth dedicated to the Lord Christ Jesus.  We are to love fellow believers in Christ, to put the needs of other believers in Christ before our own.
First, Second and Third John is all about the church showing love to the church members the body of Christ

Matthew 22:36-40
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him,
“ YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’
This is the great and foremost commandment.
The second is like it,
‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’
On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”

First John 5:1-5
Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him.
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments.
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments;
and His commandments are not burdensome.

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

First John 2:15-24
Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

First John 5:21
Little children, guard yourselves from idols.

Matthew 6:24
“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”

First John 5:1-4
“Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him.
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments.
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

John 3:16 -17
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.”

First John 4:7-14
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

Go forth and show your love for Christ Jesus; by showing love to the children of GOD more then the love of the world and the things of it.

Second John
Live your life according to the Commandments of the Lord Jesus

Second John 1:1-3
The elder to the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in truth; and not only I, but also all who know the truth,
for the sake of the truth which abides in us and will be with us forever:
Grace, mercy and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

[[ the introduction John is writing to the chosen lady and her children. As the bride of Christ the church is the chosen lady, and her children are those whom except forgiveness and salvation from Christ ( you and i as believers when we came in to the family of GOD ) those who are called by the name of Christ. And as such this letter is written to you and me. ]]

Second John 1:4-6
I was very glad to find some of your children walking in truth, just as we have received commandment to do from the Father.
Now I ask you, lady, not as though I were writing to you a new commandment, but the one which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another.
And this is love,
that we walk according to His commandments.
This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it.

[[   and just as today some of the children of God walk in the truth and live within the commandment of GOD and some do not.
And what is that commandment?
That we should love one another.

Matthew 22:36-39
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “ “YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.”
This is the great and foremost commandment.
“The second is like it,
YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.”     ]]

Second John 1:7-11
For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh.
This is the deceiver and the antichrist.

Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward.

Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God;
the one who abides in the teaching,
he has both the Father and the Son.

If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting;
for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds.

[[   here is where it seems it gets heard for most.
Having acquaintance, or so-called friends who do not believe that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. They are called the antichrist.

We are to be aware of them and not fall for or get caught up in their deception and miss use of the scriptures of GOD, for by doing so you may lose some of the reward the Lord has given you.

It is important to know and live by the words of the Lord Jesus Christ, and live in His love and live out His love to others,
to not be deceived by the love of the flesh,
nor in the desires of the world.

Those who you partisapate in life with , NO MATER WHO IT MAY BE, who bring teachings of beliefs that do not promote the Lord Jesus Christ and His life, but rather leads others ways from the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ
We are to have noting to do with, we are not to except them in to our homes, and to not even greet them.
For by doing so we are participating in there evil.

That seems a bit drastic and unloving
but in the reality of life it is not.
If you are allowing the antichrist in to your home, listening to and being persuaded in the lies, the lies will affect your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, which in turn will weaken your faith in Christ and your walk with Him.

The Love talked about in First John and here in Second John is love between those who are part of the family of GOD.
We are to have compassion for those who are not believers in Christ and share the good news of Christ with them, but those who have made the choice to deny the Lord Jesus Christ we have one obligation and that is to pray for their salvation, but that does not mean we are to except them in to our homes or to set under their teachings, or influence.   ]]

Second John 1:12-13
"Though I have many things to write to you, I do not want to do so with paper and ink; but I hope to come to you and speak face to face, so that your joy may be made full. The children of your chosen sister greet you."

[[   as believers in and followers of the Lord Jesus Christ we are to follow His teachings.
And we are to obey His commandments.

If you lived next to a rushing river knowing it had great under tow that pulls under any who have gone in to it,
would you allow your children to go out and play in it?
Would you not warn them to stay away from it?

The ones who have denied the Lord Jesus Christ Aare those undercurrents. You play with them and you can find your self in trouble.

Think about it wouldn’t it be better to obey the Lord and have less worldly friend then to lead astray, away from the truth of the Father and the Son.   ]]

First John 5:13-15
"These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.

This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

[[ “if we ask anything according to His will”
The will of Jesus is the same will of Father God, which is the same will the Holy Spirit draws us to.

Matthew 7:21
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.”

Matthew 12:50
For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother.”

Matthew 18:14
It is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones perish”.

John 6:40
“For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.

Galatians 1:3-4
“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins so that He might rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father

What is that will?
Here are a few examples:
First John 5:16-17
If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask and God will for him give life to those who commit sin not leading to death.
There is a sin leading to death; I do not say that he should make request for this.
All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not leading to death.

[[   In Mark 3:28 Jesus tells us;
“Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin

And in Luke 12:8-19 Jesus says;
“And I say to you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Man will confess him also before the angels of God; but he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.
And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him.”

This is stated very clearly, you speak against the Holy Spirit, for that you will not be forgiven    ]]

First John 5:18-20
We know that no one who is born of God sins; but He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him.

We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

[[    ok before you go off the deep end and give up because you have sin in your life lets put some time in reading the word of GOD the Lord Jesus.

Rom 3:21-26
“But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe;
for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith.
This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed;
for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Throw what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross, if we except His sacrifice for us we are forgiven, we are human with a free will -we will sin, but by excepting the Lord Jesus we are forgiven, if you honestly have given your life back to Him and realize the depth of what He has done for you , you will strive to be holy just as He is holy, by obeying His commandments.

And what are we told are the greatest commandments????

Mathew 22:36-39
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?”
And He said to him,
“YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.
This is the great and foremost commandment.
The second is like it, YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.”

Mark 12:28-31
One of the scribes came and heard them arguing, and recognizing that He had answered them well, asked Him,
“What commandment is the foremost of all”
Jesus answered,
“The foremost is, ‘HEAR, O ISRAEL! THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD; AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.’ TOOLS
The second is this,
‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’
There is no other commandment greater than these.”

If you truly love the Lord your GOD you will love Father GOD and fellow believers. And in doing so you will work at not sinning.
But when you do sin know you have been forgiven, just confess and ask to be forgiven and the Lord if faithful to forgive.
But sin ( speak blasphemes ) against the Holy Spirit for by doing so you will not be forgiven.

Luke 12:8
“And I say to you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Man will confess him also before the angels of God; but he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God. And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him. ]]

First John 5:21 Little children, guard yourselves from idols.

[[ what is an idol?
Answer:   any thing that you hold to, any thing you worship, anything that comes between you and the Lord Jesus.

Matthew 6:24
“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”

Luke 16:13
“No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”

Both of these speak of wealth, and yes wealth even if one is not willing to admit they love money its self, you can tell they do by the way they love the things money can get them, and the life style they live.
An idol is any thing that you put between you and GOD.

Are you willing to give up all you have to help a brother or sister in the Lord Jesus? He gave His life for you are you willing to give yours for Him?

Hear is a story told by Jesus:   Matthew 18:20-35
it speaks of a master and a slave, the slave owes the master a great debt and when the master trier to collect the slave bags for forgievness and the master shows great mercy on him and forgives the great debt.
On his way out from the master the slave sees a fellow slave who ows him a small debt, and demands payment the fellow slave bags for forgiveness but the first slave has him thrown in to prison.

and this is where we will take up, Matthew 18: 33-35

Matthew 18:33-35
Should you not alsohave mercy on your fellow slave, in the same way that i had mercy on you?
and His master, moved with anger, handed him over to the torturers untill he should repay all that was owed him.

My heavenly Father will also do the same to you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart."

((((    "My heavenly Father will also do the same to you. if each of you do not forgive your brother (fellow belivers) from your heart'"    ))))

Hope you are getting what the Lord Jesus is saying,  this is rather simple doesn't take hours, days, months or even years to figure out.
If you do not have love, murcy forgiveness, toward fellow believers, you willpay the price.     ]]
