1st John 2:3-6 By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked. Enough said? Do you keep the commandments, His Commandments? The 10; 1 “You shall have no other gods before me” What or who do you put before God? What is more important to you than to fallow the Commandments of God? Who or what do you spend your time with instead of God? 2 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5You shall not bow down to them or worship them” What do you have setting around your life that is more important to spend time with rather than to spend time with God? 3 “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain” You are not to misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. how is your language? 4 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. Two things hear first what day is the Sabbath? It started out being the seventh day of the week (Saturday). Second most who observe the Sabbath on Sunday still don’t keep it holy dedicated to the Lord, much less not work. There is always an excuse to do something ells. When was the last Saturday you spent the whole day with the word of God opened 5 “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you. Do you honor your parents or do you ridicule and view them as in the way keeping you from your full potential? 6 “You shall not murder” 7 “You shall not commit adultery” 8 “You shall not steal” 9 “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor” 10 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.” Those are the ten most people don’t mind talking about because even though at times some may be difficult in dealing with they can set them in the back of their minds and ignore them in the most part. But then Jesus comes and in Matthew 22:37-40 and says “YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. On these two commandments depends the whole Law and the Prophets.” Jesus took the ten added two that entail the ten and take the action down to the thinking of the action,,, so what you been thinking about lately, that blanket Blake that cut you off or did you stop and think Jesus you didn’t get ran into???
