i need i need i want i want;
How many times have you said i need?
How many times have you said i want?
What truly is a need?
As humans we do have needs Air, Water, Food, Clothing and shelter, those are real physical needs we all have, beyond these there are wants, and when wants become so important that they become needs we are in trouble.
i have heard it said it is ok to want things, that God sail He will fulfil the desires of our hearts.
Yes we were told that in Psalms 37:4
Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart.
But for some reason it seems the first part is conveniently forgotten or set aside. Delight yourself in the Lord these five words have more substance and worth then He will give you the desires of your heart.
Another part of a verse quoted all these things will be added to you. But aging the first part of this one is left out it says; seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness.
The true conclusion; you want things from God first Seek His kingdom and His righteousness and Delight yourself in the Lord
It is easy to delight in a warm sunny day when everything is calm and peaceful, but what about when the storm rises and the clouds roll in and the rain and wind are upon you, can you delight when you are in the dark wet and cold?
The real question is Why Not, why not delight in the Lord at all times, for He allows the rain to fall on the just and unjust.
And it is easy to seek the Lord when you are in need, but seeking Him is easily forgotten when everything is going along fine and wonderful.
Yes we have been told that the Lord will give us the desires of your heart, and that He will also provide for all our needs, but if we are not willing to do our part by Delighting in Him and first seeking His kingdom and His righteousness we should not expect anything from the Lord.
If we are spending our time delighting in Him and seeking His Kingdom we won’t have so many wants and needs. For Christ is not only your provider He is your provision.
And contentment will find its way in our personality in which will bring about peace and joy.
Be satisfied with what you have, if you desire anything desire a closer relationship with the Lord not stuff and things.
