Matthew 5:13

¶ You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.

Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

 

Jesus is speaking to you. You are the salt of the earth; YOU if you have asked Jesus in to your life and you confess to men of being a Christian then you need to check and see if your salt has any savor (taste). Salt is a healer it hurts in a cut but it heals and preserves.

No matter how week your life may be as salt if you have even a speck of savor left the Lord will use it, and your life can still be a blessing to Him, others and yourself and just like when you came to the Lord the first time bring what you have and allow the Lord to use it.

 

Jesus goes on to say you are the light of the world; YOU are the light of the world and He speaks of not hiding your light but letting it shine for the world to see. At work, school, or play do people see the light of Christ or the darkness of man in you?

Have you hidden your light Christ placed in you for so long that your eyes have become a custom to the darkness?

 

Are light is like that of the moon have you seen the moon when it is full and so bright it lights up the night, our lives are somewhat like that we should be reflecting the light of Christ so that even in the darkness of glume and despair in this world we shine out, to draw the world to Christ even as a moth is drawn to the light.

 

Then take in to consideration you are salt and light, you have the ability in Christ to draw those out of the world and to give them healing words such as “Jesus loves you so much He was willing to die for you.

By the way you live your life they will be drawn to either the Lord or the world.

 

So go shine on someone today be a blessing, be a guiding light, let them hear healing words.
