To WORRY IS to cause anxiety, a cause of uneasiness or anxiety; trouble, to torment oneself with or suffer from disturbing thoughts; to fret, usually of things that MIGHT happen, not reality.
i believe that anxiety consists of two parts; worry and physiological symptoms such as sweating, increased heart beat and raised blood pressure. Worry refers to negative self-talk that often distracts your mind from focusing on the Lord and instead trying to come up with your own solutions to a problem or situation, whatever it maybe.
For example, when you become anxious because you lost a job, you may repeatedly ask your selves how, will i make it, or how will i take care of my family. This kind of thinking interferes with your focusing on the Lord and what He says He will do for you if you trust Him.
As we grow up Worry becomes a big part of our lives it becomes a learned habit, Once you have accepted the habit of worrying it is hard to stop. We are raised to worry and aren’t considered “a grown up” until we perfect the art of worrying. As a teenager we are told “it’s about time you start worrying about your future” and became a responsible adult.
It seems that if you are not worrying about something you are considered to be childish or irresponsible, and in some groups if you don’t worry you are considered a layer, or a denier of the truth. Well if worrying makes you a responsible adult then i don’t won’t to be one!
We are told by the Lord; DO NOT WORRY!
Matthew 6:31 "Do not worry then saying ‘What will we eat?' or ‘What will we drink?' or ‘what will we wear for clothing?'
Luke 12:22 And He said to His disciples "For this reason I say to you, do not worry about your life, as to what you will eat; nor for your body, as to what you will put on
We are not to worry about food drink or clothing, if we are choosing to fallow the Lord no matter what happens in our lives He will take care of your needs.
Look at Job take time to read the book of Job a man that could have worried about a lot of things but instead looked to the Lord.
Mathew 6:34 "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own,
We are not to worry about Tomorrow, or about anything that might or might not happen tomorrow.
Matthew 10:19 "But when they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you are to say; for it will be given you in that hour what you are to say.
Mark 13:11 "When they arrest you and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour; for it is not you who speak, but it is the Holy Spirit
Luke 12:11 "When they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense or what you are to say
When troubles come we are not to Worry what this says is that God will even tell us what to say, if He will do that don’t you think He will take care of all your needs.
If the Lord gives you the words to say when there is trouble don’t you think He will give you the words to say when times are good; Or are you one who speaks from your own mind and heart?
1Corinthians 7:21 Were you called while a slave? Do not worry about it; but if you are able also to become free, rather do that
We were all called when we were still in sin we are not to worry about this but through Christ we are made free, I believe this also includes freedom from worry
Go have a great day in the Lord and Do Not Worry
