1 Thessalonians

First expanse how Paul came to the Thessalonians, not to make money or gather wealth, but to share with them the word of God, with no thought of self but of spreading the love and to others so that they may know Christ,
        san but greed seems to be a big part of the church of today.

Things we can draw from First Thessalonians
We are to be faithful to God, by living free from all flattery and from all greediness, materialism, envy, not longing or desiring, nor being enviousness or jealousy, not grasping for the things of man

There is this difference between the judgments of God and the judgments of men, that when men choose, we filter our judgments through the qualities and appearance of those things which we see in front of us,
But God finds the reason of his counsel and judgments only in himself,

Seeing that we are not able to think a good thought on our own, that whoever He chooses to call to a holy calling, he makes them able to do so, it is by His mercy that we are allowed by God to be made able, and are made acceptable to God by God.

We are to be;
1. As a flock that is committed to Him and His ways than to our own lives.
2. To give up our own rights and do His will rather than to be stumbling block to his sheep
3. To align our lives to outshine even surpass others in being an example of a godly life, not that we may be lifted up but so that Christ may be lifted up, not so that we may be seen but so that Christ may be seen.
4. To encourage, lift up and comfort others with the same fatherly mind and affection as Christ has shown us
5. To diligently and earnestly counsel, urge and encourage all men to lead a godly life

We are to live boldly before men in the love and freedom of Christ not in fear of man but in fear of God, doing the will of God which is that we should be His light here on this earth so that others may come to Him also in boldness.

If our life does not reflect Christ they are reflecting self or world, look at your life as you would look in the mirror, what do you see, a reflection of Christ or of greed wont and need.
