So did you take the time to go back over the last few things written?
We as a people have been brought to the point of believing that we need to hear something new every time we go to church or to a web site to read something, and believe that is learning.
When the world want you to believe something they will push it at you for days the same thing with maybe different words but with the same theory or belief lased in it.
As a Christian it has always bothered me that every week the body of Christ will get together and be told something new every time, not that what is being said is wrong but that you can’t learn something by hearing it once and then hearing something new the next week.
We all learn by repetition, i always wondered how many people actually go back over what they heard on Sunday the rest of the week.
After reading a few survey and a couple article about church attendance and teachings this is what I found the average church member who attends church on Sunday, Monday does not remember wat the teaching was about they might remember some key phrases and a few more will remember the joke and by Thursday very few remember what was said at all.
So how can you say you are learning anything?
Back in the day when the purpose of a school was to teach reading writing and arithmetic it was taught by repetition, doing the same thing day after day, taking a few days or perhaps even a few weeks to do research and investigation.
By doing this it was imbedded in tour mind.
We are told to study not listen to show are self’s approved, so we need to be taking the time and study what we have heard.
Maybe i am a bit slow but i like to take what i hear on Sunday morning and for the next two to three weeks go back over it, i like getting recordings of Sunday morning and then listen to them over and over pulling out the scriptures looking them up and reading what was before it and after it to get the drift of what was said and then apply what i have found to my life and see what adjustments need to made in my life,
and then before going on to something new apply what i have learned and get it to where the rubber meets the road.
For if we are not applying what we are supposed to be learning we are that noisy bell in the wind
Take the time to really learn what the word of God says, and apply your life to it.
Thake the time
