First John 2:15-17
Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
[[ Dang now that is pretty straight forward, not a smidge of wiggle room to not understand what we are being told “Do not love the world nor the things in the world”.
And the next statement is just as direct and leaves no space to miss entrepot.
“If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
So where is your love directed?
Your stuff and things?
The creation?
Sadly for most in the world the love of the world and what is in the world has captured the love of mankind, and rather then placing their love in the Lord Jesus Christ their love is spent on the world and the things in it.
A dangerous position to be in. ]]
First John 2:16-17
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.
The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.
[[ so simple to understand. Do you want to live forever with Christ Jesus? Then put your faith and love in the Christ Jesus, or pass away with the world and its ways. ]]
[[ Remember these words:
“Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever."
“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other.”
You cannot serve God and the world.
Who are you serving??? ]]
