First John 3:4-10
Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.
You know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin.
No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him. Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.
No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.

[[ have know some who have read this and stated “we are human we sin, there is no one who does not sin so no one can ever make it to heaven!” and you may have come to this conclusion yourself. But wait,,,,, you have to take in to consideration the third and fourth words, (practices - sin)
Let's look at the definition of the word practice;

PRAC'TICE,
1. To perform certain acts frequently or customarily,
2. To form a habit of acting in any manner.

It is not a thing of going through life never sinning, it is not having sin as your daily way of life.

Romans 3:21-26
But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; FOR ALL HAVE SINED AND FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD, BEING JUSTIFIED AS A GIFT BY HIS GRACETHROUGH THE REDEMPTION WHICH IS IN CHRIST JESUS;
whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, SO THAT HE (JESUS) WOULD BE JUST AND THE JUSTIFIER OF THE ONE WHO HAS FAITH IN JESUS.

If you have repented and recived Christ Jesus as your lord and savior your sins have been and are forgiven.
But the one who continues to live in sin practicing it as a way of life, it could be questioned if that one in reality actually ever did repent and followed the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. ]]

everyone who has their hope fixed on the Lord Jesus Christ; purifies himself, just as the Lord Jesus Christ is pure.

Where is your anchor set?
Where is your faith set?
If it is Christ Jesus your sins have been forgiven, but that does not mean it is ok to continue in sin, if you have come to Christ, out of gratitude for what He has done for you, you should strive to not continue in sin, and when you do sin immediately ask Him to forgive you and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you from committing it aging.
