Made it back, the trip into the wilderness was great, saw deer, elk and wolves. The first two days were warm and sunny, nights cold, then hail, rain and snow for two days and freezing nights then back to warm and sunny with cold nights. Didn’t make it to the lakes so no fishing, but had a great time with grandkids.
Day 9
(8)
Duty
Romans 12 I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, Which is your spiritual service of worship.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is; that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Do not think more highly of yourself then you ought to think. But think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.
For God has given gifts of prophecy, service, teachers, exhortation, giving and mercy. Let love be in you without hypocrisy.
Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.
Unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, malice, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, gossipers, slanderers, heaters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful, Although they know the ordinance of God, those that practice such things are worthy of death.
They not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.
So if you are one who partakes in any of these things, even one, then you must approve of them. Check your heart, and be honest with yourself, for God already knows. Choose this day who you will serve. Will you fulfill your duty to the Lord, or serve self? Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.
Give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord rejoice in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted in prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.
