James 4:11
¶ Do not speak against one another, brethren.
He who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks against the law and judges the law;
but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge of it.
There is only one Lawgiver and Judge,
the One who is able to save and to destroy;
but who are you who judge your neighbor?

{{{ Ok hear me out.
Believers in, followers of, the Lord Christ Jesus; are not to speak against a fellow believer, nor are we to judge them, for by doing so it makes us a judge of the law which places the one judging in the position of being the judge of others and in a position of having a harsher judgment on them self.
The judgment spoken of here is the judgment of eternity the judgement that is only the duty, reasonability of GOD Himself, for He is the one who gave the law, it is His law to judge.

There is judging we are directed as believers we are to do;
1Corinthians 5:9-13
¶ I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people;
I did not at all mean with the immoral people of this world,
or with the covetous and swindlers,
or with idolaters,
for then you would have to go out of the world.
But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a one.
For what have I to do with judging outsiders?
Do you not judge those who are within the church?

But those who are outside, God judges.
REMOVE THE WICKED MAN FROM AMONG YOURSELVES.

The judging we are to do is more of an evaluation

2Pe 2:1-3
¶ But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.
Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; and in their greed, they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

1Th 5:21-22
But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; abstain from every form of evil.

[[[[ Examining is another form of judging.
We are to use that form of judging, and examen every word we hear from those who call themselves Christian. ]]]]

Over and over, we are told about those who come in the name of the Lord but are not true followers of the Lord, but deceivers working for Satan to draw believers away from the Lord and His teachings.

Those who always go back
Matthew 7:1-5
¶ “Do not judge so that you will not be judged.
For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.
Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye?
You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.”

And yes, i agree with Matthew 7:1-5, it is not for us to judge the sin that may be in another for it is most likely we are harboring that same sin with in ourselves.
That does not replenish our responsibility to examine (judge / examine / evaluate) the words used when someone is sharing or teaching the word of GOD.
Just as you should not take what I say as the foundation of truth,
you should be in your bible for yourself,
evaluation its foundation and it truth.

In this do not stop reading at Matthew 7:5 read on to Matthew 7:6
¶ “Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.”

Those, when shown, the truth of a false teacher, who refer back to Matthew 7: 1-5 it seems are those who fall in to Matthew 7:6

Those who fall in to the list we have been given 1Corinthians 5: 11
Where we are told, not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a one.

We are to judge (evaluate) those who are within the church. As to not be or have others be drawn away from the Lord.

REMOVE THE WICKED MAN FROM AMONG YOURSELVES.

Which takes us back to
2Petter 2:1-3
¶ But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.
Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; and in their greed, they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

As believers in and followers of Christ our Lord, it is our duty our responsibility to be aware of what we are being taught by Christian leaders and teachers, (to judge in the form of evaluation) their teachings, and bring that false teaching out in to the light for all to see, and be aware of.

This is not a judgment of damnation but a judgment to shin light on corruption (sin)
and bring forth life in Christ our Lord.
