First questions of the day:
Do you have days you don’t feel like spending time with the Lord?
Do you have times that it just seems to take too long to read your bible?
Do you ever fell the sermon or teachings you are listening to will never end?
Does your mood about the word of the Lord sway like the leaves on a tree in a wind storm?
Do you have a lacking conviction or enthusiasm when it comes to your daily walk with the Lord?
Day 7 of a few.
More; going over what the Lord had, has to say about us (the church) in Revelation 2 and 3
Revelation 3:15-22
“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot.
So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.
Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked,
I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.
Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline;
therefore, be zealous and repent. Behold,
I stand at the door and knock;
if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.
He who overcomes,
I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches”
{{ Jesus said:
“I wish that you were cold or hot.
So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold,
I will spit you out of My mouth.”
Those who think they are rich, who think they are wealthy, think they have need of nothing from the Lord.
Their riches and wealth have blinded them to the truth,
The truth is that they are wretched, miserable and poor, and have been left blind and naked, and are not even aware of it.
Blinded by their own self-worth and lusts.
The Lord gives those in that condition the opportunity to get right with Him. He speaks if gold refined by fire, white garments and eye salve;
Reading and knowing His word, is to know Him and His Father, and to learn to know who you are in Him,
so that you may truly become rich, and be clothed in white garments so that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed;
if with an honest heart you go to the word of GOD seeking His righteousness, seeking His Kingdome, seeking his face;
you will receive His refined gold, white garments and salve for your eyes.
The gold is found in is His word;
what it cost you is time and will; the will to allow the word of GOD to raise up conviction in your heart mind and soul so that you are eager to learn more and to obey the commandments of the Lord,
The white garment; you can receive by believing in and excepting Christ Jesus as your lord.
The eye salve you will receive as you take in the words of GOD, as you do so your eyes will be healed so you can see just how mush the Lord truly loves you, and just how truly wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked you have been with out Him.
By absorbing the word of GOD, and applying it to your daily life, you can know who He is, and through Him who Father God is, and who you are in Him, that will open you up to truly know that the Lord your God truly loves you.
And that can bring you to the point of
“I once was blind but now I see.” }}
3:19 “Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore, be zealous and repent.”
3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.”
3:21 “He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”
3:22 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
{{ Remember if you believe in the Lord Jesus, you are the church.
So why not buy from the Lord refined gold, a white garment and salve for your eyes;
so that you may find and see the will of the Lord for you in Him. }}
“He who has an ear.”
Lord Jesus, give us all, each and every one the ability to see within ourselves and see lukewarmness, any lacking conviction or enthusiasm when it comes to our relationship with you.
i ask that you would kindle the spark that is left, that each of us may find the conviction to whole heartily follow You, and the enthusiasm to share You and Your gospel with the world around us.
Guard the hearts, minds and souls of those who are yours, those who have excepted you as Lord,
make each hot as hot as a white flame for you and your word.
i ask that you would open the eyes of those who think they are hot but are not. Amen and Amen
