Job 5:13
“He captures the wise by their own shrewdness,
And the advice of the cunning is quickly thwarted.”

[[[ He (Father God)
captures the wise;
those who are wise in their own eyes, worldly wisdom.
by their own shrewdness;
exceptional discernment and judgment especially in practical matters,

shrewdness:
clear understanding and good judgment of a situation, usually resulting in an advantage the ability to judge people and situations well and make good decisions:

Was reading in Job last night and came across Job 5:13 and the word shrewdness caught my attention.
Went ahead and finished reading Job 5 and went to bed.
It is now 3:AM and i am a wake thinking about this word,
The above is what i found it means.
Have always thought my depth of insight was a good thing perhaps a gift from GOD,
but after looking up the definition and other words associated with it has brought me to see where it can be departmental to growth in the Lord.
Reminded me of contracts i have written after taking the time to look at all the angles,
wording them as to gain an advantage,
and have had to ask for forgiveness,
what the Holy Spirit has brought me to understand is that my shrewdness has me at time brought me to the point of not depending on the Lord or the Holy Spirit to direct my path.
Discernment and being shrewd can be a good thing
but only if the Lord and the Holy Spirit are allowed to take you (me) down that path,
for with their leading that path can be of great value for others,
but when that path is taken on ones own it can be destructive, not only to others but to one’s self.
For in Father God word, the bible Job 5:13 we are told;
“He captures the wise by their own shrewdness”
How much better is it to look foolish in the eyes of mankind, but lead by the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of GOD.
We can think through and put together all kinds of things,
But until we give it all to the Lord and ask to be lead in the right direction it is but foolishness,
no matter how personally or financially profitable it may be.
It is of no value to be right or profitable; if GOD is not the central driving force of our life. }}}

Psalms 62:9
Men of low degree are only vanity and men of rank are a lie;
In the balances they go up;
They are together lighter than breath.
Do not trust in oppression And do not vainly hope in robbery;
If riches increase,
do not set your heart upon them.

Psalms 119:33-40
¶ He.
Teach me, O LORD, the way of Your statutes,
And I shall observe it to the end.
Give me understanding,
that I may observe Your law And keep it with all my heart.
Make me walk in the path of Your commandments,
For I delight in it.
Incline my heart to Your testimonies And not to dishonest gain.
Turn away my eyes from looking at vanity,
And revive me in Your ways.
Establish Your word to Your servant,
As that which produces reverence for You.
Turn away my reproach which I dread,
For Your ordinances are good. Behold,
I long for Your precepts;
Revive me through Your righteousness.

Proverbs 22:8
He who sows iniquity will reap vanity,
And the rod of his fury will perish.

The scripter over and over tells us to not lean on our own understanding, that the wisdom of man is nothing but foolishness in the eyes of the Lord.
GOD who knows all things, who created all things and who has set life in motion for all.
It is our choice if we chose to listen to and follow Him or to go it on our own.

Will we humble ourselves,
repent of our sins,
will we chose to follow the teachings of the Lord our God
or justify our wick form of wisdom?

I will leave you with this:
Job 28:12-28
¶ “But where can wisdom be found?
And where is the place of understanding?
Man does not know its value,
Nor is it found in the land of the living.
The deep says, ‘It is not in me’;
And the sea says, ‘It is not with me.’
Pure gold cannot be given in exchange for it,
Nor can silver be weighed as its price.
It cannot be valued in the gold of Ophir, In precious onyx, or sapphire.
Gold or glass cannot equal it,
Nor can it be exchanged for articles of fine gold.
Coral and crystal are not to be mentioned;
And the acquisition of wisdom is above that of pearls.
The topaz of Ethiopia cannot equal it,
Nor can it be valued in pure gold.
Where then does wisdom come from?
And where is the place of understanding?
Thus it is hidden from the eyes of all living And concealed from the birds of the sky.
Abaddon and Death say,
‘With our ears we have heard a report of it.’
God understands its way,
And He knows its place.
For He looks to the ends of the earth And sees everything under the heavens.
When He imparted weight to the wind And meted out the waters by measure,
When He set a limit for the rain And a course for the thunderbolt,
Then He saw it and declared it;
He established it and also searched it out.
And to man He said,
‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom;
And to depart from evil is understanding.’”

2 Chronicles 19:7
“Now then let the fear of the LORD be upon you;
be very careful what you do,
for the LORD our God will have no part in unrighteousness or partiality or the taking of a bribe.”

Psalm 111:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
A good understanding have all those who do His commandments;
His praise endures forever.

Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction. Now take the time and go read Proverbs 8

i’m out for now
