Decline of the fellowship
It seems now days that more and more pastors are producing followers of self rather than followers of Christ.
Pastors who put themselves on a pedestal, and churches that exalt a pastor and place him in higher regards than any other, (some higher than even Christ Himself) set the body up to fall.
When a pastor is too good or his time to highly esteemed, to have the time to spend with individual members of the body, then their priority is on self not the flock, he is not a servant, he has become a master.
The church body and the pastor should in all things point to Father God and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Let no man deceive himself, Do Not think more highly of your-self then you ought to think.
Acts 5 shows the high priest and his fallowing become full of jealousy because the people were showing more respect of the disciples then of them,
The religious leaders demanded respect, and reverence for themselves; and the disciples goal was to have the people respect and show reverence to God. The disciples were respected not because they demanded it, but because they deserved it.
And i think a lot of pastors now days have a spirit that demands respect, and you can see it in the way they treat the body. They are self-centered and have great self-value and self-esteem, they set in their little ivory tower looking down on the rest of the world, And God said to then enter in My good and faithful servant, and he said to them depart from Me I never know you.
Which will you be? Are you going in? Or, are you going away?
The choice is yours.
Salutation:
If My people who are called by My name will humble them self’s and repent of their sins, I the Lord their God will heal their land.
HUMILITY; NOT JUST FROM THE BODY BUT FROM THE LEADERSHIP
FOR IF LEADERSHIP IS NOT HUMBLE NEITHER SHALL THE BODY BE.
LET NO MAN, THINK HIGHER OF HIM SELF, THEN HE OUGHT TO THINK.
Humility is a good friend to have it will keep you from thinking more highly of yourself then you should. And could ultimately save you from hearing those words that no man is ever going to want to hear;
Depart from Me, for I never know you.
