Have you confessed your sins to Christ Jesus?
Have you repented of your sin’s?
Have you truly surrendered your life over to His will?
Have you actually given Him everything?

It is sad to say but most of us are still holding on to some part of this world and its ways.
i remember when i was younger, around 60 years ago being in Church and every one singing
“I surrender all”
and thinking what does it mean to surrender all.
Looking around and seeing people who it seemed had not surrendered much to GOD but sang out the words as if their whole life was given over.
But when Church was over,
they talked about everything but GOD,
and the rest of the week when we would see them,
they had nothing to say about God nor did they act like anything i had heard in Church,
seemed to me than, that something was wrong.
i couldn’t read so could only go by what was said in Sunday school and Church and i myself slipped in to somewhat the same pattern,
we went to Church then went home and went on with life until the next Wednesday night or Sunday morning and lived for self the rest of the week.
This was our routine but was always disturbing to me.

Routine:
A set of customary or unchanging and often mechanically performed activities or procedures This routine has never seemed right,
My Sunday school teacher read John 3:16 to us a lot
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish,
but have eternal life.”

i remember the one time She she read on from 3:16 through 3:21,
John 3:16-21
¶ “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish,
but have eternal life.
For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world,
but that the world might be saved through Him.
He who believes in Him is not judged;
he who does not believe has been judged already,
because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
But he who practices the truth comes to the Light,
so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”

In what She read and talked about that day around sixty years ago has stuck with me most of my life there have been times i have wondered away but the words She spoke always brought me back to the Lord,
hare are the things that stuck out to me then and still do today;
Father God loves me
He loves me so much that He sent His only Son to die on a cross to save me from hell And my part in receiving His gift is to believe in Him,
She spoke of Him being light shined on our hearts and minds, and thought then He can see all we do and think,
that nothing we do or think can ever be hidden from Him.

That even if we chose to disobey if we choose to live in the darkness of sin He still knows.
And by doing things that are sin we are saying we do not love Jesus or His Father.
And when we live a life that is not given to Jesus we are only lying to our self,
because our sins are out there for everyone to see,
She spoke of sin as only making our eyes blind to our own sin,
but that other people could see our sins in the way we spoke and the way we treated other people.
She said that everyone who does evil hates Jesus and Father God,
and asked how would you feel if someone you love said they hatted you?
But if we would live in the way God asks us to live,
we could live in His light and the things we do would be worked out in Him.
She spoke of work as being the things we do that are in obedience to the words in the bible.
She told us that the main thing Father God and Christ Jesus asks us to do is love.
And she told us the only way we can show we love Jesus is by loving other people,
and that if we can not love those who He brings in to our life we cannot truly love Him.

Matthew 22:35-39
One of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him,
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?”
And He said to him,
“ ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’
This is the great and foremost commandment.
The second is like it,
‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’”

Her words and the words of Christ Jesus have stuck with me and guide in the way i live,
yes there have been times i have been so disgusted by those around me that i wonder off.
But the Holy Spirit is faithful and quick to remind me that it is my thoughts and opinions that keep me from walking with Jesus not what other people say or do.
And that i am the one who needs to repent and turn back to Him and His forgiveness.

i pray this is helpful to you in your walk with Christ Jesus.

Will you choose to walk with Him in the light?
Or is the world so attractive to you that you will choose to walk in the darkness?
