There are around 360 times in the word of GOD that it is stated do not worry or do not fear, so then why if we trust the Lord GOD, do we worry so much?
Why do we have so much fear?
Here are just a few examples:
Deuteronomy 3:22 ‘Do not fear them, for the LORD your God is the one fighting for you.'
Deuteronomy 31:8 “The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
2Kings 6:16 So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
Isaiah 41:10 ‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'
Isaiah 41:13 “For I am the LORD your God, who upholds your right hand, Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.'
Isaiah 51:7 “Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, A people in whose heart is My law; Do not fear the reproach of man, Nor be dismayed at their revilings.
Lamentations 3:57 You drew near when I called on You; You said, “Do not fear!”
Malachi 3:5 “Then I will draw near to you for judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers and against the adulterers and against those who swear falsely, and against those who oppress the wage earner in his wages, the widow and the orphan, and those who turn aside the alien and do not fear Me,” says the LORD of hosts.”
Matthew 10:26 “Therefore do not fear them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.”
Matthew 10:28 “Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Matthew 10:31 “So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.
Luke 5:10 and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not fear, from now on you will be catching men.”
Luke 12:7 “Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.
Luke 18:4 “For a while he was unwilling; but afterward he said to himself, ‘Even though I do not fear God nor respect man,
1Peter3:14 But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. AND DO NOT FEAR THEIR INTIMIDATION, AND DO NOT BE TROUBLED,
Revelation 2:10 ‘Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days.
Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life
There are over 300 times the word of GOD refers to not fearing mankind,
But there are over 600 times we are to fear,
not mankind but GOD.
I am not going to list them here you can go and find them, (do your own research)
We are told to fear one, and only one
The word states;
Fear the Lord God
Fear the Lord your God
Fear the Lord our God
So why do we fear mankind, or what man can do to us?
Why fear man who can only kill the body?
We should rather fear the Lord God who can kill both,
the one who can condemn the soul to damnation.
Matthew 10:28 “Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
Where is your faith and trust set?
In the Lord your God?
Or in men?
That truly determines Who or what you fear.
Think about it.
There are several references in the word of GOD where men did not fear GOD and each time it did not go good for them.
Put your trust in the Lord your God, and find peace and freedom in Him.
