The last few days i have been going through Proverbs and would like to share with you what the Holy Spirit has shown me.
i am hesitant to do so but the nudge is strong so here we go.
As i was reading and studying Proverbs the Holy Spirit nudged me to stop and to take a deeper look at myself in the light of what i was reading, that I am be able to readjust my thinking and the manner i live for Christ Jesus.
That as believers in and followers of Christ Jesus our Lord it is our responsibility to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness.
The book of Proverbs is the best guide for each of us as believers to not only find the true path, and the true reality of that path, so that with the help of the Holy Spirit that path can be adjusted to alien us with the will of GOD.
As we go through Proverbs at each statement made these are the questions we should be asking:
1. Is this active in my life?
2. Do I need to have this removed from my life?
3. To I need this added to my life?
4. Am I truly wise, or playing the fool?
And the foremost question each of us need to answer:
1. Am I truly seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness?
If not; then you are seeking your own way not His.
So, with these questions in mind let’s get started.
Proverbs 1:1-6
The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:
To know wisdom and instruction,
To discern the sayings of understanding,
To receive instruction in wise behavior,
Righteousness, justice and equity;
To give prudence to the naive,
To the youth knowledge and discretion,
A wise man will hear and increase in learning,
And a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel,
To understand a proverb and a figure,
The words of the wise and their riddles.
( The Naïve:
One Lacking in understanding,
To be guileless,
One with lack of critical judgment.
One willingly living in ingenuous. )
Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.
What life are you living?
A life of the wise?
Or the life of the fool?
