Matthew 6: 19-21

19 Do not layup treasures for yourselves on the earth, where the moth and rote corrupt, and where thieves brake in and steal.
20 But instead layup treasures for yourselves in heaven, where neither the moth nor rote corrupts, and where thieves neither break in nor steal.
21 For where your treasure is there will your heart be also.

Treasures upon earth;
home, positions, money, pride, …….
Any and every thing you put before God in your life anything that takes time away from doing the will of God, anything that you cannot just walk away from such as home, positions and money.

This world is not my home, i am just passing through, for when i die my spirit is the only thing that will make it to my true home, not one cent of money, nor will one of my positions be going with me. So why hold on so tightly to them now? Give to those in need who you can for your Heavenly Father will supply ALL your needs.

(it helps to know a need from a want; need

  1. A relationship with Jesus
  2. Food
  3. Clothing
  4. Shelter
A relationship with Jesus ------- all you have to do is ask
Food ------- you need nourishment 91 Essential Nutrients not steak and lobster everyday
Shelter ------- shelter, protection from the weather, does not mean a massif square foot home; it means shelter from the weather.

not far from where we are staying there is a community of around 45 homes the smallest on being 2,400 square feet the largest right at 32,000 square feet the community consists of 157 people that’s an average of 3.48 people per home, the largest house has only two occupants, if you drive by any of these locations you will see two to four cars, one to three trucks, a motorhome, three to four snow mobiles, and three to four four-wheelers, and motorcycles, and about every other has a boat. 90 % call them self’s Christians, but in no way would they be willing to walk away from the life they have built for them self’s. And their time is spent taking care of and protecting the items they have spent so many hours working to collect, that the only time they seem to have for Father God in about an hour on Sunday morning, the rest of the week is spent trying to looking successful, and not living a life that looks like Christ.

Clean out the stuff and things in your life and see how much time you gain in your day, wow you might even find time to go help others.

And just think of it if you sold your large home and purchased something that met the need for shelter, how much money you would have (no big payment, less maintenance) each month to give to God, and to help others.

Give to man what is mans and give to God what is God’s.

Just a though.

Monday;   Who do you serve and what do you have?
