Do you, do i, truly depend on Jesus?
Do we truly trust Him with all our needs?
This world and its ways from birth teaches us more is better,
But more is not always better, nor necessary.

Reading the words of GOD:
here are a few things we are told about our GOD and our association with Him.

“The LORD is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation;
This is my God, and I will praise Him;
My father's God, and I will extol Him.
The LORD is a warrior;
The LORD is His name.”

“The LORD is My Banner”

“The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation,
my stronghold and my refuge;
my savior, my stronghold.”

“The LORD is my shepherd”

“The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the defense of my life;
Whom shall I dread?"

“The LORD is my strength and my shield”

“The LORD is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation.”

“The LORD is my portion Therefore I have hope in Him.”

“The LORD is my God. “

“THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID.
WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?”

Psalms 23
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.
He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil,
for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Psalms 23 says it all.
The Lord is my shepherd.
The shepherd takes care of His flock;
Makes sure they are fed, sheltered, protected.
Finds them when they have wondered off and get lost.
And brings them back into safety.

I shall not want.
The shepherd provides the needs of the flock.

The LORD is my shepherd, He provides all my needs,
As believers in Christ our LORD we do not need to connive,
maneuver, position, strive or even worry about our needs.
We are told:
Matthew 6:25
“For this reason I say to you,
do not be worried about your life,
as to what you will eat or what you will drink;
nor for your body,
as to what you will put on.
Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

Matthew 6:33
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness,
and all these things will be added to you.
So do not worry about tomorrow;
for tomorrow will care for itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.

In Matthew 6:19-21 we are also told;
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth,
where moth and rust destroy,
and where thieves break in and steal.
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor rust destroys,
and where thieves do not break in or steal;
for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Why do so many who go by the title Christian
think they have to look to the world for their needs to be met,
seems a bit disturbing to me.
Why do Christians allow the world to set the standards for our lives,
this is disgusting to me.
We have a GOD who over and over in His word tells us
He loves us,
that He will provide all our needs.
Why is that so heard to except?
Why is that so hard to believe?
Why is it we say we love the Lord,
that we trust the Lord,
that He is our refuge and strength?
Why is it that on Sundays we get together and sing of these things
but on Monday run back to the world to provide for us?

Do we truly love the Lord?
Do we truly trust the Lord?
Do we truly obey the Lord?

If we are depending on the world and its ways,
how can we be trusting the LORD?

We are to work six days a week and on the seventh day rest,
Making the seventh day a day of rest unto the Lord our GOD.

That does not mean we put our faith and dependance
on the work we do, Our faith, hope, desires, dependance
should still be on the Lord our GOD.
Not on the money, not on the stuff and things.
Not on a bank account here on earth,
but our account in heaven.

There is nothing wrong with a high paying job.
Where the wrong come in;
is what we do with the money Christ has given us,
Do we spend it on trivial things,
or do we invest it in the Kingdome of GOD.

If i had a job that required 40 hours a week
that paid me enough to pay my living expenses,
food, keep clothing on our family’s back,
wouldn’t that be enough?

Let’s say the people i worked for offered me a higher position
that paid twice as much but required me to put in more hours?
Would the extra money be worth it?
More stress; stress on me and on my family
More time at work; less time with family.
More toys and more distractions
taking even more time from family relationship.

And over time the need for even more money,
to buy even more crap,
so i can disconnect even further from family.

Using the worlds excuse:
“But look what I can provide and do for my wife and kids!”
And the trap is sprung.

We are to work YES,
but we are to lean on the Lord for our needs,
not the world nor its ways.
The LORD is the one we are to look to for our provisions.
We are to lean on and depend on Him for our lives to be fulfilled in Him not in the world.
Not our worldly desirous, a big house, a new car, designer clothing, large bank account, newest latest gadgets,
No, we are to seek His Kingdome His righteousness.
Not our own glory, fame and riches.

This is a heard life pattern to break but it is posable,
It takes turning from the world and turning to GOD.

Repent to the LORD of your sins and Christ our Lord is faithful to forgive,
Repent is to tell Jesus what you have done or have not done,
and walking away from whatever it is you are repenting of.

Just asking Lord will you forgive me of this or that is not enough,
You have to be willing to walk away from it,
and walk after the Lord.

Worry is a huge wall to climb over if you are trying to do it on your own.
We are told in the bible to not worry, or do not fear 365 times. Matthew 7:33-34
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness,
and all these things will be added to you.
So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Worring about money and paying bills?
Then quit wasting it on things that will not bring you or others closer to Christ our LORD.
Stop spending it on things that may make you feel good for the moment
but in a week are no longer satisfying,
so you need something new.
Cut out the social gatherings and spend more time at home with family;
playing games, talking, praying together, reading God’s word together.
Building each other up in the word of God is so much more profitable
than more money or things.

Find the true mining of wealth, the Kingdome of God.
Thanks Giving and Christmas are coming soon:
Find what you are truly thankful for,
and then ask yourself;
Is this what I should truly be thankful for?
Am i thankful for worldly thigns or for GODs provision?
Am I only thankful once a year? Or every day?
Am I willing to tell others that I am thankful for it?

Find out what Christmas is truly about.
Is it about giving or receiving gifts?
About who can spend the most?
Or who you can impress the most?

Christmas is about the love of Father GOD the creator of the heavens and earth,
about His love for mankind whom He created.
A love so strong and powerful that
He sent His Son Christ Jesus to earth in the form of mankind
to give Himself as a sacrifice to pay our debt,
a debt we could never pay on our own,
so that we could be set free from His rath that will be poured out on the world,
and those who reject His love and forgiveness.

No stress, no manipulating, no conniving, no worry’s,
Just excepting the love of GOD,
giving ourselves back to Him,
The one who created us.
Excepting His love,
excepting His provision and being satisfied with what He provides,
And saying thank you LORD.
With a heart of gratitude,
Telling the world;
the LORD is my shepherd,
The LORD is my provider and my provision.
Telling the world;
I have no need for what you have to offer,
Not your riches your acceptance nor your approval.

Rember these words, and apply your life to them:
Psalms 1
“How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.
The wicked are not so,
But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
For the LORD knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the wicked will perish.”

Matthew 6:19-24
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth,
where moth and rust destroy,
and where thieves break in and steal.
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor rust destroys,
and where thieves do not break in or steal;
for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Go by the title Christian?
Then go live your life for Christ Jesus
instead of for yourself, or for the world.
truly depend on Jesus truly trust Him with all our needs.

Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.

Read His word and apply your life accordingly.
