John 21:
When they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon the son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?
He said to him, Yes, Lord, you know that I love You.
And Jesus said to him, Feed My lambs.
Jesus said to him again the second time, Simon the son of Jonah, do you love Me?
Peter said to him, Yes, Lord, you know that I love You.
And aging Jesus said to him, Feed My sheep.
Then Jesus said to him the third time, Simon the son of Jonah, do you love Me?
Peter was grieved because Jesus said to Him the third time, do you love Me? And said to Him, Lord, you know all things: you know that I love You.
Jesus said to him, Feed My sheep.

Verily, verily I say to you: When you were young, you clothed yourself, and walked whither you wanted: but when you are old, you will stretch forth your hands and another will cloth you, and lead you to where you do not want to go.
And this he spoke signifying by what death he should glorify God.
And when he had said this, he said to him, follow Me.
Then Peter turned about, and saw the disciple whom JESUS loved, following, which had also leaned on his breast at supper, and had said, Lord, which is he that betrays you?
When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, Lord, what will this man do?

Jesus said to him, if I will that he tarry till I come, what is it to you? You follow me. Then this word went abroad among the brethren that this disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say to him, He will not die: He said if “I will that he tarry till I come, what is it to you?”

This is that disciple, who testifies of these things, and wrote these things, and we know that his testimony is true.
Now there are also many other things which Jesus did, that which if they should be written every one, I suppose the world could not contain the books that should be written, Amen.

i have heard sermons on John 21 but not one i have ever heard has spoken of it as to how we should live our lives, every time when hearing it or read it there are two things that stick out to me and when i went on the two year walk through the word allowing the Holy Spirit to lead these two points stuck out even more.

1. If we have asked Jesus to be our lord and we truly have love in our heart for Him and His ways; He is asking us to feed His sheep. No we are not all appointed to be preachers or teachers but we are all called to share the word, love and grace of the Father with this world and those in the body of Christ.
  • Sharing your life with someone in need
  • Giving of yourself to someone in need
  • Speaking the word of Christ in a situation
  • Reaching out to others

This is all feeding the sheep of Christ

2. What is it to you? A question i think Christ askes us all.
What is it to you if I allow some on to prosper, to fall, to live or to die? What is it to you?
Your responsibility is to fallow Jesus no matter who is doing or not doing, has or does not have.

Jesus says to you; “what is it to you? You follow me.”

Don’t get all hung up on what someone ells has gets or does. And don’t get hung up on what you think you have, or don’t have, get to do or don’t get to do Jesus askes one thing of each of us and that is to fallow Him.
If you are one who always sees them self in need realize YOU ARE, you are in need of a truly personal relationship whit Christ, for if Christ is truly first in your life your focus will be on Him and fallowing Him rather than others what they have and do or yourself as to what you have don’t have do or can’t do.

Jesus says to you, if I will that you tarry till I come, what is it to you? You follow me.

If you need to mold your life after someone other than Jesus, try Job the man who has the greatest impact on who i am today other than Jesus.

If you are fallowing after Jesus living your life for Him He is not only your provider but your provision, and you should come to the realization of the fact that nothing ells maters beyond fallowing Jesus.

Matthew 5-7 Jesus tells us how to live and that He will provide all our NEED’S So why be distracted with what you think you are missing because someone ells has it or gets to do it. Sometimes i feel like standing up in church and yelling who do you serve, yourself, man, this world or Christ?

But Jesus says:
What’s it to you?     You just follow me! i

i say this in love;
Get over yourself, this world, this life is not about you. It is about others.

Die to yourself, Fallow Christ, serve others
