John 15:9-19
As the father has loved me, so I have loved you: continue in my love. If you will keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken to you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love than this hath no man, then when any man gives his life for his friends. You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you.
I command you this thing to do, that you love one another. If the world hates you, know that it hated me before you. If you were of the world, the world would love his own: but because you are not of the world,
but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
A lot,,, Father God and Jesus over and over in the bible speak of obeying, commandments and love. We are to keep the commandments Father God gave Moses plus the two commandments Jesus has given us, the thing is they all are fulfilled by love. Father God gave us ten commandments that deal with loving Him and loving others, Jesus give us two commandment that engulf all ten, love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul, and love your neighbor as yourself.
Matthew 22:37-39
Jesus was asked “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH YOUR ENTIRE MIND. This is the great and foremost commandment.” The second is like it, “YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’
Father God Loves His Son Jesus, Jesus loves His Father so He fallows His commandments, and if we Love Christ Jesus we will fallow His commandment, and live within the guidelines He has set forth for us.
- fallow His commandments
- love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul
- love one another as yourself, to the point of giving your life for a brother.
- Father God loves Jesus
- Jesus loves us
- We are to abide (to standstill, stand firm) in His love
- And we can only do that by keeping His commandments
- And by keeping His commandments we will be filled with His joy
This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love than this hath no man, then when any man gives his life for his friends.
You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you. (If we give our life for Jesus we can show no greater love for Him, but if we love any one or thing more than we love Him our joy will be in want, it will be lacking.) I command you this thing to do, that you love one another. (Likewise if our love for our brother is lacking our joy will also be lacking) Jesus also lets us know the world will hate us if we live by and in His love, the world does not abide in God’s love the world abides in physical love, love for and of self and pleaser, the weakest form of love, all focused around self,
God’s love is focused around others.
Jesus said; “If the world hates you, know that it hated Me before you. If you were of the world, the world would love his own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”
If you are fully accepted by the world you might check where your loyalty is;
what or who Whose commandments do you obey?
Who are you in love with?

John 12:24-26
Verily, verily I say to you, except the wheat and corn fall into the ground and die, it abides alone: but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit.
He that loves his life will lose it, and he that hates his life in this world, will keep it unto life eternal.
If any man serves me, let him follow me: for where I am, there will my servant be: and if any man serves me, him will my Father honor.
Heating life in this world, i read this year’s ago and thought what a strange comment. i have always felt out of place here, i don’t fit in.
About seven years ago i came to the realization this world is not my home, and that there is nothing in or of this world (the stuff and things) has any true value, it is all distractions.
We gave away our home on three acers and most everything ells, and drove off with a 16’ travel trailer, to sheae the love of Christ with others, doing the will of Father God.
This world and all the gadgets will not save you only a relationship with the Lord can do that, as humans we seem to get so distracted with home, clothing, cell phones computers, toys, sports … and lose sight of the path we are to be traveling.
This world is not our home and just like a guest in someone else’s home we don’t gather their things and pack them around, and visiting this world, nether are we to hold to the thing of this world and pack them with us.
This world is not our home we are just passing through. So die to this world so that you can live, love heaven and hold to Christ and look forward for the day you can go home.

John 8:41-42
You do the works of your father. Then you said to him, we are not born of fornication: we have one Father, which is God. Therefore Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, then would you love me: for I proceeded forth, and came from God, neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
Jesus says you do the works of your earthly father, and He is doing the work of His Heavenly Father, His Father sent Him to earth to save all mankind, it is our choice if we except His love or not and follow after Him and obeying our Heavenly Father i always listened to what my earthly Father had to say, not that He was a heard man but because what He had to say always seemed to be for our good.
When He spoke He was to the point said what He had to say and went on with life, He was always consistent, if we did what was right not much was said but on those times you disobeyed there was time to fess up and tell what you did or didn’t do and if any there was some form of light discipline, but if you didn’t say anything or denied the truth, there would eventually be direct and firm discipline.
i believe it is the same with Father God, we sin (disobey) and we are given the opportunity to ask for forgiveness, if we repent and ask we receive, if we try and ignore and proceed in our disobedience (sin) the day will come we will be punished.
Point is be about doing the work of our heavenly Father, obey His commandments and live a full life, or disobey try and do it on your own and live a miserable and unfulfilled life and pay for it in the end.
And aging like i always say the choice is yours; choose wisely.

John 3:14-21
As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must that Son of man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him, should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loves the world, that he has given his only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in him, would not perish, but have everlasting life. For God did not send his Son into the world, that He should condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
The ones that believeth in him are not condemned: but the ones that do not believe are condemned already, because they have not believed in the Name of that only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation; that light came into the world, and men loved darkness rather than that light, because their deeds were evil. For every man that does evil, hates the light, does not come to light, for fear his deeds should be reproved. But he that does truth, cometh to the light, that it might be made unmistakable clear his deeds are fashioned according to God.
John 3:16, most Christians know it by heart, but don't know what fallows, nor do they seem to want to, because it buts the question back to them who will you obey, who will you fallow, who will you serve.
Is your life light or darkness?
If light how bright is your light?
If darkness how dark is your darkness?
If you have darkness in your life (sin) Go to Father God in the name of Jesus repent and let the light, of Christ freely shin and wash out the darkness.

We are taught; On July 4, 1776, the thirteen colonies claimed their independence from England, an event which eventually led to the formation of the United States. And on July 4th, known as Independence Day, Americans celebrate this historic event.
Our independence was from Britain, and there were only 10 colonies that voted yes Pennsylvania and Carolina voted no and New York sustained (no great surprise there) and New York is still fighting against independence for America.
What we are not taught is that the pilgrims came to America to be independent from Britain for freedom of religion, the freedom to love and serve Christ Jesus, and everything that proceeded from there brought us to July 4th 1776.
Most Christians now days don’t really understand they not only have the responsibility but the right to freely worship Jesus.
So many have gotten tied up with the separation of church and state and have given up freedom of religion for freedom of state, and spend more time involved in the manners of the state rather than the manners of God.
As a Christian you are free to worship the Lord freely without concern of the state, no matter what the states says.
This freedom cost more than most would be willing to pay, but Jesus gave of Himself so that you can be free (independent of your sins) to worship Him, and Him alone,
The Christ not the Government, not a game or its player, not an worldly event, When we as Christians celebrate independence we should celebrate our independence from this world and its ways but more so we should celebrate our freedom to worship the one true King, King Jesus.
So how is this day of celebration spent?
- Trying to make everything just right for your great party?
- Or waiting for that moment of the last touchdown?
- Or anticipation of the great light show?
- Or that great sale at your favorite store?
- Or ???????
- Or will you spend today thanking Father God for sending His son Jesus to hang on the cross so you can ask for forgiveness have freedom from sin?
That’s not to say you will not sin aging for we have all fallen short,
but when we sin we have the freedom to go to the Father in the name of Jesus and ask to be forgiven so that we can continue to move forward in the freedom Christ has given us, for through salvation Christ has truly given us real freedom.
Chose this day who you will serve; man (the world) and his freedom which can be taken away at any moment. Or Christ Jesus Who freely gives freedom and by your choice you can have for eternity.
Aging the choice is yours.
Have a blessed fourth.
