2 Timothy 2:1-26
1 you therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 And what things you have heard from me, by many witnesses, the same teach to faithful men, which will be able to teach others also.
3 You therefore suffer affliction as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man that at war entangles himself with the affairs of this life, because he would please him that has chosen him to be a soldier.
5 And if any man also strives for a victory, he is not crowned, except he strives as he ought to do.
6 The husbandman must labor before he receives the fruits.
7 Consider what I say: and the Lord gives you understanding in all things.
8 Remember that Jesus Christ, made of the seed of David, was raised again from the dead according to my Gospel,
9 Wherein I suffer trouble as an evil doer, even unto bonds: but the word of God is not bound.
10 Therefore I suffer all things for the elect’s sake that they might also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. 11 It is a true saying: For if we are as, dead together with him: we also shall live together with him.
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign together with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us.
13 If we believe not, yet we abided faithful: he cannot deny himself.
14 Remind them of these things, and be in earnest prayer for them before the Lord, that they do not strive about words, which leads to no profit, but instead to the perversion of the hearers.
15 Study to show your self approved of God a workman that needs not to be ashamed, dividing the word of truth rightly.
16 Stay away from ungodly, worldly vain babbling: for they will increase to more ungodliness.
17 And their word will cause worry in the hearer and spread as a plague: people like Hymenaeus and Philetus.
18 Witch as concerning the truth have wondered from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already taken place, and have destroyed the faith of certain ones.
19 But the foundation of God remains sure, and has this seal; The Lord knows who are his: and, Let everyone that calls on the Name of Christ, run from sin.
20 Nonetheless in a great house are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth, and some for honor, and some to dishonor.
21 If any man therefore removes and cleanses himself from these, he will be a vessel to honor, sanctified, and meet for the Lord, and prepared to every good work.
22 run also from the lusts of youth, and follow after righteousness, faith, love, and peace, with them that call on the Lord with pure heart,
23 And put away and refuse to take part in foolish and speculative questions, knowing that they produce strife.
24 But the servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome, but must be gentle toward all men, apt to teach, suffering the evil when wronged,
25 Instructing with meekness those that are of a contrary minded, if perhaps at any time God will give them repentance, that they may acknowledge the truth,
26 And come to their senses and out of that snare of the devil, of whom they are taken prisoners, to do his will.

Conclusion;

If we are as, dead with him: we also shall live with him. If we suffer in His name, we shall also reign together with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us. If we stand faithful to His word: he cannot deny us for He cannot deny himself.
Remember this, and be in earnest prayer before the Lord; for yourself and others that you do not worry and nitpick about words
1. Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2. The things you have heard from me, these same things teach to faithful men, which will be able to teach others also.
3. Suffer affliction as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4. No man that is at war entangles himself with the affairs of this life
5. Instead he would please the one that has chosen him to be a soldier.
6. If any man strives for a victory, he does not receive it, except he strives in the manner he has been taught to. One must labor before you receive the reward.
7. the Lord gives you understanding in all things.
8. We are to Remember that Jesus Christ, who was made of the seed of David, after being crucified raised again from the dead according to God’s Gospel, that He suffer trouble as if He was an evil doer, even to be bound by death: but the word of God is not bound.
9. Therefore we should willingly suffer all things for the sake of the elect’s that they might also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus,
10. For if we are as, dead together with him: we also will live together with him.
11. If we suffer, we will also reign together with him:
12. If we deny him, he also will deny us.
13. If we do not believe, but yet we stay faithful: he cannot deny himself.
14. Do not strive about words, this leads to no profit, but instead to the perversion of the hearers.
15. Study to show your self-approved of God a workman that has no reason to be ashamed, dividing the word of truth rightly.
16. Stay away from ungodly, worldly vain babbling: for they will increase to more ungodliness. these word will cause worry in the hearer and spread like a plague,
17. The Lord knows who are his: and, Let everyone that calls on the Name of Christ, run from sin. Any man who removes and cleanses himself from ungodly, worldly vain babbling, will be a vessel to honor, sanctified, and meet for the Lord, and will be prepared to every good work.
18. We are to also run from the lusts of youth, and follow after righteousness, faith, love, and peace, with those that call on the Lord with pure heart,
19. Put away and refuse to take part in foolish and speculative questions, knowing that they produce strife.
20. the servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome, but must be gentle toward all men, apt to teach, suffering the evil when wronged,
21. Instructing with meekness those that are of a contrary minded, so if perhaps at any time God will give them repentance, they may acknowledge the truth, and come to their senses and come out of that snare of the devil, of whom they are taken prisoners, to do his will.
22. If we are as, dead together with him: we also will live together with him. If we suffer, we will also reign together with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us. If we do not believe, but are faithful abided in theses teachings: he cannot deny himself.

Remember this, and be in earnest prayer before the Lord; for yourself that you can mind your own bussiness and take care of your own sin, let God take care of others

Study to show yourself approved
To hear these words
Well done My good and faithful servant

1 Thessalonians 4:1-12
1 And furthermore brethren we plead with you, and encourage you in the Lord Jesus, that you increase more and more, in what you have received of us, as to how you should to walk out your life, and to please God.
2 For you know the commandments we gave to you came from the Lord Jesus.
3 For this is the will of God even your sanctification, and that you should abstain from fornication,
4 That every one of you should know, how to conduct this life given to you in holiness and honor,
5 And not in the lust of sexual pleaser, as the Gentiles who do not know God:
6 That no man is to oppress or defraud his brother in any matter: for the Lord is the punisher of all such things, as we also have told you before, and testified of before you.
7 For God has not called us to be impure uncleanness, but to holiness and sanctification.
8 He who then despises these things does not despise man, but despises God who has even given you His Holy Spirit.
9 But as for brotherly love, you don’t need that I should write to you: for you are taught by God to love one another.
10 Yes, and brotherly love you truly do to all the brethren, which are throughout all Macedonia: but we plead with you brethren, that you increase in love more and more,
11 And that you study to be quiet, and to meddle with your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you.
12 That you may behave yourselves properly toward them that are without, so that nothing is lacking in your life.

Conclusion;
We are to
1. Increase more and more, in what you have received, as to how you should to walk out your life, and to please God.
2. Every one of you should know; how to conduct this life given to you in holiness and honor, not in the lust of sexual pleaser
3. No man is to oppress or defraud his brother in any matter
4. For God has called us to holiness and sanctification.
5. You are taught by God to love one another.
6. you are to increase in love more and more,
7. Study to be quiet, and to meddle with your own business, and to work with your own hands
8. Behave yourselves properly toward those who are without, so that nothing is lacking in your life.

Be aware of your sexual desires, stay true to the commandments given to us from Father God study them put them in your heart and live by the daily keeping true love foremost in your life, for it is by our love that non-believers will know Christ’s love. Stay clean, pure in heart, showing Christ love to every one we meet not in the lust of sexual pleaser.

No one is to oppress, deceive, swindle, cheat, or trick his brother in any matter: and we have been forewarned that the Lord is the punisher of all these things. For God has not called us to an impure unclean live, but to holiness and sanctification. So that we can and would treat others in a proper way, meeting their needs and in return our needs will be met, and we will not be without.

We are to study the words of God and apply His words to our lives so that we can learn to be still minding our own business not interfering with others, we are to go about doing the will of God doing our own work not interfering with others to get them to do what we think they should be doing,

To be quiet, is to be peaceful, pleasant, to mind your own business not interfere with the business or concerns of others, to be diligent and work with your own hands, and let others work with there’s.

In other words don’t be a busy body making everyone else’s business yours.

So study the words of God to learn to live your life and not make your life’s desires the requirement of others, aging learn to not be a busy body leave others alone. Just live a life of love so that others might see the love of Christ in you.

Worry
We are told 365 times in the Bible to not worry,

Worry: being apprehensive, having anxiety, to fear, to be burdened, to be unease, to be nervous, to fret, to stew, to fuss over, being anxious, to be annoyed

One time for each day of the year we are told to not worry

Worry in a person’s life shows a lack of trust in the Lord, a failure to know and understand who Christ truly is and who they are in Him for Christ has said if we truly believe in Him and follow after Him and His ways He will provide all our needs and He will never leave us and forsake us,

If you were facing a vicious gang and had an army standing with you would you not show sins of bravery?

Well understand this if you are a follower of Christ you have an army that no enemy can defeat, nor can they diminish they strength, you have an army of the angels of the living God on your side, at your side and they have your back, no matter what may come your way if you will trust in and obey the Lord Jesus you have nothing to fear.

If you allow worry to take you, you will grow fear in your life and heart and it will take over and overwhelm your faith, until you have no faith.

If you take a gallon of water and drop one drop of food coloring in it and shake it up can you tell you put the drop in NO it is not noticeable at all, but if you keep adding one drop at a time and shaking soon you will notes a change.

It is the same with worry in your life allow a drop in and you don’t really see the consequences but start living a life of worrying and down the road you will be engulfed with it.

Worry is an action that brings forth a physical response such as panic, perfectionism, compulsive behaviors, anger and eventually doubt. Along with these wonderful attributes
Difficulty swallowing, Dizziness, Dry mouth, Fast heartbeat, Fatigue, Headaches, Inability to concentrate, Irritability, Muscle aches, Muscle tension, Nausea, Nervous energy, Rapid breathing, Shortness of breath, Sweating, Trembling and twitching, Suppression of the immune system, Digestive disorders, Muscle tension, Short-term memory loss, Premature coronary artery disease, and even Heart attack

All wonderful things i’m sure everyone wants in their lives.

Believing in and trusting in the Lord, surrendering your life back in to His hands you have no reason to worry for He will lead, guide and protect you in all things at all times.

If you doubt that read the book of Job, yes Father God allowed Job to be tested but at the same time protected him, and as Job went through his testing believed in had faith in trusted and blessed Father God,
once through the test God blessed him even more, Job showed no signs of worrying or doubt he simply trusted that God was in control and understood that with God in control of his life he had nothing to worry about.

So how will you live your life worrying or trusting in the Lord?

Christianity and religion are two different things

A Christian is one who believes in trust follows and obeys the Lord Jesus Christ, being a Christian is to be like Christ.

Religion is the act of being better then more holly than and richest in one’s own eyes.

One serves Christ the other serves self.

In Christianity we have two distinct groups
     1. The one who follows after the teachings of Christ to obey the word of God and to be a servant for Christ sake to others, accepting all that comes as a situation from God to teach, correct and direct.
     2. The one who says I am a Christian, I go to church, I do this, I do that, I am blessed Then turns right around and says I don’t have enough, I am in need, why me, why did this or why did that happen to me.

And aging only one trusting, following and obeying the Lord, the others are still serving self, one is grateful the other is a complainer.

Do you truly trust and follow after the Lord and His teachings, or do you gripe bitch and complain about every little thing?

If Christ said to you sell all that you have and follow me what would you do?
Would you willingly give up your home?
Your positions?
Or would you argue that you had need of them, that you could not live without them.

Is it that you could not live without them or is it that they are more important than your commitment to Christ?

For it is either one or the other, most likely it is the thing of importance, you wouldn’t want to look like a fool before your friends and family, you wouldn’t want to be unconfutable.
For truly God would not want you to give up all you have worked so hard to get now would He.

The answer YES it could come to that, for you are either serving the Lord or you are serving the world and for some of us it comes to the point that the line is drawn and we have to make a choice as to which side we will be on.

Are you willing to do such a thing?

If Christ lay it in your mind or on your heart to do so could you let go of all your worldly positions?
Or would you rationalize it away?

Are you willing to be unconvertable for Christ, or is your comfort and pleaser more important to you.

Something to think about if Christ said let go of your worldly things could you?
If the Holy Spirit toughed at your heart to help a complete stranger could you truly give of yourself to do so?
Are you willing to lay down your life for another?

Christ was willing to leave the comfort of His place in heaven come to this earth but up with being spat upon, ridiculed belittled, and hung on a cross just for you, so you may be saved from an eternity in hell, if you call yourself a Christian (a follower of Christ) are you willing to do the same for your fellow man?
Or is your life to precious to do without your comforts?
