To the Christians out there;

Why do we strive for more?
Why do we hold so tight to the things we have?
Why is enough never enough?

Typical person has so much stuff (worldly positions) that most of their time energy, and finances are spent supporting it

Home;
How many hours a month do you have to work to make the payment?
How much a month do you pay out each month?
It has to be keep cleaned how much time a month do you spend cleaning, or how much do you spend to have someone ells clean for you?
How much do you spend a year repairing or updating your home?

Car;
How many hours monthly do you have to work to make the payment up keep and repairs?

Schooling;
What do you spend in dollars for an education?
How much time do you invest?

The Lord said “I will supply all your needs” He has never told us to spend our time supporting a home, car, or to spend our time learning worldly ways.

When Christ came to the disciples before they were disciples He said to them, leave your worldly positions behind and follow me;

Matthew 4:19 And He *said to them, “follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men”
Matthew 8:22 Jesus said to him “follow Me, and allow the dead to bury their own dead.”
Matthew 9:9 As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man called Matthew, sitting in the tax collector's booth; and He *said to him, “Follow Me!” And he got up and followed Him
Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.
Matthew 19:21 Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be complete, go sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

Christ has told us He will provide our food clothing and shelter, these are things we do not have to spend our lives striving after He will supply them. What he asked each of us to do is to follow Him.

You have a job great, but are you using it to gather hold on to and support things of this world or are you using it to be a difference in someone else’s life, is it a mission field or a means of self-support?

Your home is it larger then truly needed? Is it a show place for others to see how well you have done in life? Or is it a place of humility used to keep you out of the weather, and where other may come to meet Christ and His love?

Is your car or truck a means of getting from one pace to another or is it a statement of how well you want others to think you are doing? Is it used for your own conveyances and pleasure, or a tool to help other?

School; do you spend your time learning of the world and its ways or do you allow the Holy Spirit teach lead and guide you in the ways of the Lord. For the ways of a man seem right to him, but are foolishness to the Lord.

Our time energy and money are all given to us to bring others to the loving kindness of Christ,
Not to make us look good, big or important in the sight of man.

Christ has asked you; give up your life so that you may fine life.

For we can only serve one master, it will either be satin or God,
by serving yourself you are serving satin not God.

So what will you truly do with the statement
     “take up your cross and follow Me”

Ever loss something or ever knows the feeling of something being taken away from you?
This last week I have been going through those feelings,

As some of you know we before we came in to town we were living in a 105 year old cabin, went up to get something and well it is gone, the whole thing torn down and removed there is nothing left even the out buildings have been bulldozed, thanks to some rich liberals

There is no way we could ever afford to replace it, we would have to purchase a piece of land and then 45,000.00 to rebuild.

So now we move forward, It is heart breaking but God knows what and why, and He will take care of us, .
He said He would supply all our needs, so now we trust.
God has always been good to us, we have had some things to work through over the years, but this is a new one,

not sure what we are supposed to learn, but heart, mind and sole are open to learn it.

For this is nothing compared to what Job went through
So anyhow I am back and tomorrow back to blog

If i tell you i’m a plumber how do you know i am?
If i tell you i’m a doctor how do o know i am?
If i tell you i’m a race car driver, how do you know i am?
If I tell you I’m a mountain climber, how do you know i am?
If I tell you i am a Christian, how do you know i am?

How do you know someone is what they say they are?
It is by their actions, and there deeds.

Most anyone can read a book and tell you what it says and tell you stories about what they do or have done using words from the books they have read, even though they truly have no idea what they are talking about, and some don’t even believe what they are saying is truth.

This is true even in the Church, there are ones in the church who can quote the word of God to the letter, and those who even teach the word of God that do not live the word nor do they truly believe the word of God.

God’s word says to pay attention to those who say they are Christians to what they say and to what they do, what people say and how they conduct then selves not only on Sunday but on Monday throw Saturday also.

But even more important is how do you live Monday throw Saturday, have you read the book?
Can you quote what it says?
But more important than that, do you live out the words you have read?

i am not a very social person; i have become so discussed with what i see going on in the church and what i see going on outside the church by the same people, and wonder what Christ must think.

A pastor who speaks of prosperity on Sunday and on Monday speaks of not having enough money to do anything, but yet can go out and spend hundreds of dollars on recreational items.

Or the ones who speak of the loving kindness of Christ and turn right around and speak negatively, even hatefully of someone ells.

Or the ones who speak of God’s acceptance of all and on Monday through Saturday speak of disgust for certain groups of people.

Or the ones who say i am a Christian, God is my provider, but then complains about what they don’t have, or they don’t have enough.

Only God knows the heart, when it comes to salvation, but we are told to be aware of the faults teachers, we are told to judge the actions of the ones who call them self’s Christians.
God will judge the world but we are to judge the words and actions of the ones calling themselves Christians.

We are all teachers, for others learn from each one of us, but one who holds the title has a greater responsibility and is held to a greater standard of responsibility.

So the next time you are going to open your mouth to speak, whether on Sunday or Monday through Saturday, stop and think about your words are they glorifing God or belittle Him?

are you going to live out what you have heard and read in God’s word, or are you just a Sunday Christian, and a hypocrite Monday through Saturday.
Are you a true believer of Jesus?
Or is it just a thing of wanting to be seen as a good person to gain favor of others?

Think about what you do and what you say, for you impact everyone you come in contact with,

Ask yourself this question;
am i living a life that shows the true love of and nature of Christ or am i living a life showing Christ as a liar?
Think about it.

If i tell you i had better show it.

If I had a nickel for every time I have heard someone say “if I only had a dime for every time I …..”

I would give them a nickel and tell them get over it.

The thing is you either trust God or you don’t.
The Lord said He will provide all your needs if you will believe and trust in Him.

So where’s your faith in Christ or in the worlds stuff and things?

I would rather be around nonbelievers, than one who says I am a Christian but complains about not having,

Now that is a true oxymoron for either you trust God or you complain both don't come from the same mouth.

When the world says jump we are in the air,
When the Lord says come we wonder around like were lost

When the world says set we set
When the Lord says stay we wonder off like lost sheep

When the world says come enjoy we party like animals
When the Lord says wait we compline like babies

When the world says sin is ok no one will now we accept it and join in
When the Lord says don’t do that, it is sin, we ignore Him and continue on

So why is it in church we are disgusted by sin but when we are in the world we except it and entertain it in our lives?

Today be aware of what you do and say,
be aware of the emotions that rise up in you, they may be acceptable to the world but are they acceptable to the Lord.

That sin that we call little and allow to dwell in your live is no different then that big sin you are so aware of in another life, for sin is sin and you either purge yourself of sin or you except it an allow it to penetrate our soil.

We are not to judge the world that is God's job, but we are to judge the fruits of ones whom call themselfs Christians, not unto damnation but to see if their fruit is of the Lord or of the worls (satin) and the judgemnt is to be of our selves first.
