1 Corinthians 13:11-13
When I was a child, I spoke as a child; I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things
Childish behavior will be left behind when wisdom and understanding of the word of God is acquired in our lives.
Proverbs 1:7 says The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 2:6 For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth comes knowledge and understanding.
Proverbs 3:13 How blessed is the man who finds wisdom and the man who gains understanding.
Proverbs 4:7 “The beginning of wisdom is: Acquire wisdom; and with all your acquiring, get understanding.
The Lord gives wisdom From His mouth the quickest way to hear from the Lord is to read His word out loud: if you are reading the words of the Lord out loud you will be hearing His word if you read it as if He is speaking directly to you and not as a story book, taking His words to heart you will gain wisdom and understanding.
By gaining wisdom and understanding your life will be blessed, because you will not be speaking as many childish statements or making as many childish choices in life.
7 say “The beginning of wisdom is: Acquiring wisdom; that is to Obtain Gain Procure in and develop it. But the beginning is to know who God is and the power and authority He has in and over your life. If you truly understand who God is and who you are this will bring a healthy fear in to your soul which will lead to the development of wisdom and understanding in your life. and with all your procuring of wisdom, you will gain understanding.

The last several days well ok weeks all postings have had to do with love starting in Geneses and have followed through Ephesians yesterday and leading to Revaluation i have about another 22 days lined up about love. But today and perhaps the next few days we need to speak about something ells.
Back on Monday, July 17, 2017 i posted on 1Corinthians 13:1-13
Throughout the night i have felt the need to go back to
1Corinthians 13 and speak about 11-13
1 Corinthians 13:11-13 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then I will know even as I am also known And now abides faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
Speaking in childish way, understanding in childish ways, thanking in childish ways …. Over the last few days I have really become aware of a lot of boys in the church, ranging from the age of 13 to 50 individuals who are not and have not grown up speaking childish, from childish understandings, and meditating (thinking on) childish things most of their waking hours.
It saddens my heart to see an 18 year-old babbling on as if they were 3 or 4, or a 50 year-old more interested in playing games them taking care of business.
Back in 1972 i read Psalms and Proverbs for the first time and here is what I go out of it.
Psalms 49:3 My mouth will speak wisdom, And the meditation of my heart will be understanding.
The words i speak are important and should be wisdom and wisdom will come from understanding, and what I need to understand is the word of God.
Proverbs 1:1-7
The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:
To know wisdom and instruction,
To discern the sayings of understanding,
To receive instruction in wise behavior, Righteousness, justice and equity;
To give good judgement to the foolish,
To the youth knowledge and discretion,
A wise man will hear and increase in learning, And a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel,
To understand a parable, and the interpretation, the words of the wise, and their hidden sayings
Proverbs 1:7 says The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
i questioned “who is this Lord i am to fear?”
And went to the word and found He is the creator of heaven and earth, that He knew me before i was born, and i understood anyone with the power and authority to create also had the power to destroy, and i also seemed to understand if the Lord knew me before i way born He also knew me now, then read that His eye is ever on us that means He sees everything i do. i knew i was a sinner and still am sinful today and that He is watching me and caring for me but that He could take my life by the blink of His eye.
i prayed and asked Father God for wisdom and understanding Wisdom in and of the words in the Bible, for understanding of the meaning of these words, and the hidden things in these words, that my eyes and heart would be opened to understanding of the words and the world around me.
Than i proceeded to read and as i read it seemed each statement Solomon made seemed to be absorbing in to my life.
So over the next few days I want to empress on you to ask Father God for wisdom and understanding of His words, so that your life may be changed from childish thoughts and actions to a mature life in Christ.

Flee also from the lusts of youth, and follow after righteousness, faith, love, and peace, with them that call on the Lord with pure heart,
Step away from the childish worldly ways; find a true fallower of Christ and spend time with them and follow after righteousness. Let go of your lust for worldly ways and things.

2:1 be strong in the grace that is in Christ
2:2 learn the thing of God to be able to teach others
2:3 suffer hardship (don’t sluff it off with jokes)
2:4 don’t be entangled in everyday life (for this is foolish and does not please Christ)
2:5 obey the Lord’s words to complete the race and enter in to heaven

2:7 meditate on study and adhere to Christ’s words and you will have understanding in everything (opposite of childish ways)
2:8 Remember and take to heart Jesus and what He has done for you
2:9-14 tells us we are to be of sound mind follow after Christ even when it is difficult, even when other disagree or even heat us, to endure all things for those who are chosen of Christ (so that through our unchildish life’s they can see Christ and receive salvation from Him dispute argue quarrel about words, for it is useless and leads to the destruction of those who hear it
2:15 we are to work hard to be approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. Not living a life of foolishness and ending up looking like a fool to others
2:16 not to live a life of empty chatter (useless childish theories and assumptions) for it all leads to ungodliness
2:17 once started on the path of theories and assumptions it will spread like gangrene, spreading spiritual death as it grows
2:18 foolish speech like theories and assumptions, disputing the word of God will hinder, obstruct the faith of some
2:19 childish speech of theories and assumptions, foolish speech, argumentative speech as children of God we are to stay away from them for they are nothing by wickedness.
2:20 in the Church, the house of God there are honorable and dishonorable, this you need to be aware of
2:21 if you will do away with childish theories and assumptions, foolish speech, jesting and argumentative speech you will be an honorable person with a pure heart
2:22 run from youthful lust and run to righteousness, faith, love and peace, and call on the Lord from a pure heart.
2:23 refuse to be involved in foolish and ignorant speculations,( childish speech of theories and assumptions, foolish speech, argumentative speech) knowing that they produce quarrels.
2:24 we are not be quarrelsome, but be to be kind to all, able to teach, and be patient when others disagree with us or wrong us
2:25 in an non-argumentative manner without jesting or vain words we are to gently share Christ and His ways with those who disagree with Christ and His ways, so that Father God may grant them repentance so that they may receive the knowledge of the truth
2:26 by repenting of your foolish ways, speaking from a sound mind the things of God, others may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil,
Foolish ignorant speculations, childish speech of theories and assumptions, foolish speech, argumentative speech are all tricks of the devil to draw you away from the truth of the Lord and it cause distraction and stumbling blocks for others. Keep your heart and eyes on the Lord and His ways and live to be an honorable follower of Christ, not a stumbling bloke for satin.

2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given to us the Spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
So why do you fear? If being given a Spirit of power, love and a sound mind, why do so many of us fear so much?
i believe it is because we are more concerned with the things and ways of this world then the ways of Father God and Christ Jesus.
Jesus tells us He will never leave us nor will He forsake us, He also tells us that nothing can separate us from His love for us not even death.
So what’s the problem what makes us fear so much? Ho I might lose my home, my job, my family, my car, my, my, my, …….. all just stuff and things when it comes to your relationship with Christ but who says Ho I might lose my love for Christ Jesus???
We should be more concerned with our relationship with Christ Jesus then what we have or don’t have, or with what ball team wins or losses.
God has given such powerful gifts the Spirit of power, the Spirit of love and the Spirit of a sound mind. And all we have to do is chose to fallow Him and keep His commandments
1. “YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND”
2. “YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.”
(All the commandments of Father God can be fulfilled in these two)
He tells us the first is the great and foremost commandment, and the second is like it.
We are told to love and we are given the Spirit of love, so why do we have such a hard time with loving Christ and others Why because the truth is heard to except, it is heard to grasp hold of the love of Christ Jesus when you are holding on to the things and ways of this world.
So let go of this world and its ways and grasp hold of Christ and His love repent and turn to Christ, ask for forgiveness and except the free gifts of Christ Jesus.
Except the truth and flee from the lie.

1st Timothy 6: 11-12
If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain.
But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment.
For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either. If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content.
But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction.
Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who testified the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ which He will bring about at the proper time—He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.
Keep your love for Father God, Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit, than your fellow man, and let go of your love for this world and the things of this world.
Money, stuff and things, not even power you may think you have from the wealth you have accumulated can save your life when Christ returns, only your love for Father God, Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit and for your fellow man will withstand the coming judgment when Christ returns for His Church.
So flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness
Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and make a good confession in the presence of your fellow man
