1st Timothy 1:5-6
The goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion.

When we stray from the teaching of love we open our self’s up to worthless words among each other, words that can damage relationships between us and others.

Words that are a waste of time and breath i am reminded of a church we attended a few years ago every Sunday before and after service most of the men would stand in the entry of the church and talk about what they had done the week before and what they were going to do the next week, it was basically the same thing week after week either hunting, fishing, cutting fire wood, or something to do with  sports, they spoke of worldly things and worldly ways week after week almost word for word each and every Sunday.

We live in a state which you can pack a gun and most of them would very proudly be wearing a pistol on their side. (Not appropriate for church unless you are in a war zone and then i would even question it) always made me wonder where there faith stood.

Our words say a lot of where our hearts are, whether we are worldly or heavenly minded. i thank and praise Father God for all things in my life weather they seem good or bad for He is in control, but i am not one to make a comment after every statement like praise God, or thank you Jesus, for our conversation can become a babbling of praise words that have no footing in our soil they can become a badge we proudly wear like the guy wearing a 9mm on his belt.
Father God doesn’t want our money, our empty words, our 24-7 physical labor He wants our lives, our hearts, our soil He does not want puffed up egotistic proud worldly men and women, He is looking for men and women who are humble and meek, who are:
Patient,
Kind,
Not jealous,
Not braggers,
Not arrogant,
Do not acct unbecomingly,
Do not seek their own way,
Are not provoked,
Do not take in to account when they are wronged,
Do not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth,
Will put up with the unjust acts towards them without retaliation,
Will look for and believes the best of all,
Will hopes all things for others,
Will endures all things
That is to say Father God is looking for those whose lives are based, rooted and growing in Love.
For some men (and woman), straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion.

What do you spend the majority of your waking hours talking about?
Worldly things and matters or things of heavenly value, is the latest ball game more important Monday through Saturday or the word of God you heard on Sunday?
Are you more concerned about how your fellow man sees you or your Lord and saviors acceptance?

Out of the mouth the heart speaks. It is better to be silent then an inpatient, unkind, jealous, bragger, arrogant speaking fowl words trying to get others to see things your way, and getting agree when they don’t, holding on to disagreements, saying or thinking they had it coming when others are having difficulties, always looking for faults in other to make yourself look belter.

Silence is the best defense for most of us.

1 Thessalonians 5:8
But let us which are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and the hope of salvation for a helmet.

The breastplate of love,
We are to keep love and the action of love close to our hearts as a breastplate so that love is not only visible to all, but also that it can protect our heart from the fiery arrows of this world.

1 Thessalonians 4:9
But as touching brotherly love, you don’t need me to write to you: for you are taught of God to love one another.

In other words:
Hay you have heard what the Lord has said about love and how you are to love one another as you love yourself, so cut the crappy attitudes, get down off your pedestal and treat your brothers as you would like to be treated.

Chain of command:
Father God
Jesus Holy Spirit
Spouse … if you are mired
Kids … if you have any
Others
Work
self

Anything out of order and you are standing outside the will of Father God.

In Matthew 22: 37-40 Jesus said;
“YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.
This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it,
YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. On these two commandments depends the whole Law and the Prophets.”

We are tought buy Father God inHis word (the Bible) buy the words of Lord Jesus and by the Holy Spirit in His leading in our lives to loveand have compassion on others, and throught the life of Christ Jesus wall He was on this earth as a man, we also havean true examples of a life lived in love.

the world teaches us to only love our self's, so who are you going to listen to the creator of heaven and eatrth or the distroyer of heaven and earth (satin, man's ways)

Colossians 3:12-17
Now therefore as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on the bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering:
Forbearing (to be Patient, Forgiving, Tolerant, and Merciful) of one another, and forgiving one another, if any man has a quarrel to another: even as Christ forgave, you do the same.

And above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfectness.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to that which you are called in one body, and be thankful: Let the word of Christ dwell in you abundance in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing your own selves, in Psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with a grace in your hearts to the Lord,
And whatsoever you will do, in word or deed, do all in the Name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God even the Father by him.

We are to be and show; Mercies, Kindness, Humbleness of mind, Meekness, Longsuffering, Patient, Forgiving, Tolerant, and Merciful in our lives toward one another. And we are to treat other as Christ has treated us…… He died on a cross and forgave us of our sins. He died for us and He Forgave us.
Do we honestly owe any lees to our brothers?

One reason the Church in America is week is because too many are more concerned about self rather than other putting self-first and treating other as less than.

Christ put us first in His life and He showed us that when He was beat and hung on the cross to die and did not do anything to stop the whole process.

Next time you are in church look around, these people are your family (your brother) then ask your self are you willing to die for each and every one of them?

Colossians 2:
That your hearts might be comforted, and knit together in love, and in all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to know the mystery of God, even the Father, and of Chris.

If as the body of Christ we are nit together in love we will have full assurance and understanding of the mysteries of Father God and Christ Jesus.
Through love from and in Christ we can have understanding of Father God and Christ, and know His word and the truth in it.

If you have love for the Lord you will want to read His word,
if you arenot reading the word of God (the bible) you can not know the word of God, we are not tought it by osmosis.
