Words spoken by our LORD:
Deuteronomy 8:3
“that He (God) might make you understand
that man does not live by bread alone,
but man lives by everything that proceeds
out of the mouth of the LORD.”
Continuing with the Sermon on the Mount
Matthew 5:13-16
“You are the salt of the earth;
but if the salt has become tasteless,
how can it be made salty again?
It is no longer good for anything,
except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.
“You are the light of the world.
A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;
nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket,
but on the lamp-stand,
and it gives light to all who are in the house.
Let your light shine before men in such a way
that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”
Mark 9:50
“Salt is good; but if the salt becomes unsalty,
with what will you make it salty again?
Have salt in yourselves,
and be at peace with one another.”
Luke 14:34-35
“Therefore, salt is good;
but if even salt has become tasteless,
with what will it be seasoned?
It is useless either for the soil or for the manure pile;
it is thrown out.
He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
Matthew 6:22-24
“The eye is the lamp of the body;
so then if your eye is clear,
your whole body will be full of light.
But if your eye is bad,
your whole body will be full of darkness.
If then the light that is in you is darkness,
how great is the darkness!
No one can serve two masters;
for either he will hate the one and love the other,
or he will be devoted to one and despise the other.
You cannot serve God and wealth.”
Luke 11:34-36
“No one, after lighting a lamp,
puts it away in a cellar nor under a basket,
but on the lamp-stand,
so that those who enter may see the light.
The eye is the lamp of your body;
when your eye is clear,
your whole body also is full of light;
but when it is bad,
your body also is full of darkness.
Then watch out that the light in you is not darkness.
If therefore your whole body is full of light,
with no dark part in it,
it will be wholly illumined,
as when the lamp illumines you with its rays.”
(( only one way to keep your salt salty,
that is to keep in the word of GOD,
and obeying His word.
Not in your own wisdom and understanding. ))
Proverbs 3:5
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.”
Proverbs 18:1-4
“He who separates himself seeks his own desire,
He quarrels against all sound wisdom.
A fool does not delight in understanding,
But only in revealing his own mind.
When a wicked man comes,
contempt also comes,
And with dishonor comes scorn.
The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters;
The fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook.”
Proverbs 19:8
“He who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
He who keeps understanding will find good.”
James 3:13
Who among you is wise and understanding?
Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.
But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart,
do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth.
This wisdom is not that which comes down from above,
but is earthly, natural, demonic.
For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist,
there is disorder and every evil thing.
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable,
gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits,
unwavering, without hypocrisy.
And the seed whose fruit is righteousness
is sown in peace by those who make peace.
1 Corinthians 1:30
But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus,
who became to us wisdom from God,
and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,
The only way to know true wisdom the wisdom in Christ Jesus,
who became to us wisdom from God,
is to read except, follow and obey
the words of out LORD Christ Jesus.
Want to truly be light in this world for Christ Jesus?
Want to truly be salt in this world for Christ Jesus?
Then read His word and apply your life accordingly.
Have faith in Christ and obey His commandments.
Matthew 6:33
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness,
and all these things will be added to you.”
James 1:5
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God,
who gives to all generously and without reproach,
and it will be given to him.
Reed GOD’s word ask for wisdom,
Keep oil in your lamp and your lamp lit
sat out as it were a lighthouse that directs a ship from danger
live in a maner that lights the way for mankind to the find the LORD.
And keep your salt salty.
Out for now
Friday, January 23, 2026, 07:52
This came up the other day so thought i would touch on it,
2 Peter 3:8
“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing,
that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years,
and a thousand years as one day.”
It was brought up as if one day to the LORD is as a thousand
days then seven years would be as seven thousand years.
O the foolishness of mankind.
To take one line in the bible to create a belief,
If you read all of 2 Peter 3
and consider who GOD is,
the Alpha and the Omega
the beginning and the end,
the first and the last,
the one Who was, Who is and Who is to come.
2 Peter 3:3-10
Know this first of all,
that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking,
following after their own lusts, and saying,
“Where is the promise of His coming?
For ever since the fathers fell asleep,
all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.”
For when they maintain this,
it escapes their notice that
by the word of God the heavens existed long ago
and the earth was formed out of water and by water,
through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water.
But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire,
kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved,
that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years,
and a thousand years like one day.
The Lord is not slow about His promise,
as some count slowness, but is patient toward you,
not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
A New Heaven and Earth
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief,
in which the heavens will pass away with a roar
and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat,
and the earth and its works will be burned up.
The phrase
For ever since the fathers fell asleep,
(is speaking of forefathers as if dead)
But is spoken is the concept of God being asleep
Know this first of all,
that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking,
following after their own lusts, and saying,
“Where is the promise of His coming?
For ever since the fathers fell asleep,
all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.”
This is being spoken by mockers of GOD,
not believers in Christ our Lord.
In an effort to discourage believers
from following after the teachings and commandments of GOD.
What Peter is saying when stating
"one day is as a thousand years
and a thousand years as one day"
He is using figurative language to convey that God's perception of time
is different from human understanding,
and is emphasizing His eternal nature.
The mockers of GOD are anti Christs,
they seek to draw away the week in mind,
To follow after the evil in this world,
doubting GOD and His word,
to trust in god’s of wood, gold and silver,
the saying of these mockers are the same
as the mockers who say,
eat drink and be marry for tomorrow we die.
2 Peter 3:10
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief,
in which the heavens will pass away with a roar
and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat,
and the earth and its works will be burned up.
2 Peter 3:1-18
Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way,
what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct
and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God,
because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning,
and the elements will melt with intense heat!
But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens
and a new earth,
in which righteousness dwells.
Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things,
be diligent to be found by Him in peace,
spotless and blameless,
and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation;
just as also our beloved brother Paul,
according to the wisdom given him,
wrote to you, as also in all his letters,
speaking in them of these things,
in which are some things hard to understand,
which the untaught and unstable distort,
as they do also the rest of the Scriptures,
to their own destruction.
You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand,
be on your guard so that you are not carried away
by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness,
but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
Have no doubt the Lord is going to return.
And have no doubt you need to be ready.
For once He returns all bets are off, you have already set your fate
And you will not have a second chance
to except His gift of salvation.
So heed the word of Peter the words of our LORD Christ Jesus,
“be on your guard so that you are not carried away
by the error of unprincipled men
and fall from your own steadfastness,
but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
Your life could end at any moment!
Are you ready to stand before GOD,
before our Lord Christ Jesus,
for your actions you have taken,
for the choices you have made?
We are told to seek first the Kingdom of God
and His righteousness.
We are told by Jesus
“if you love Me you will keep My commandments.
John 14:1-3
“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God,
believe also in Me.
In My Father’s house are many dwelling places;
if it were not so, I would have told you;
for I go to prepare a place for you.
If I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come again and receive you to Myself,
that where I am, there you may be also.”
Want to be with Christ, to dwell with Him and Father God?
that choise is yours to make.
out for now.

Matthew 4:4, Deuteronomy 8:3
“It is written, ‘MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE,
BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.’”
Matthew 4:7 Deuteronomy 6:16
‘YOU SHALL NOT PUT THE LORD YOUR GOD TO THE TEST.’
Matthew 4:10 Deuteronomy 6:13 and 10:20
‘YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD,
AND HIM ONLY.’”
Deuteronomy 6:13-15
“You shall fear only the LORD your God;
and you shall worship Him and swear by His name.
You shall not follow other gods,
any of the gods of the peoples who surround you for the LORD your God
in the midst of you is a jealous God;
otherwise the anger of the LORD your God will be kindled against you,
and He will wipe you off the face of the earth.”
Matthew 4:17
From that time Jesus began to preach and say,
“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Matthew 4:19
“Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Matthew 5:3-12
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
((Poor in spirit is to recognize your neediness before the Lord,
humbly showing humility before GOD.))
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
((To mourn is to have deep sorrow, regret for your sin’s))
“Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.”
((To be gentle is to be kind, to have a tender temperament, not being harsh))
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.”
((To hunger and thirst for righteousness is to consistently be dedicated to live a life that is actively in full obedience of Christ our Lord.))
“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.”
((To live a life with compassion for others))
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
((A pure heart is a heart that has a single purpose toward GOD in obedience with His commandments))
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.”
((One who makes peace by reconciling those who are at odds with each other))
“Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of
righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
(Jesus explains this)
“Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you,
and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great;
for in the same way they persecuted the prophets
who were before you.”
((In other-words if we live by the word of GOD obey His commandments,
live for Him not our selves or the world and its ways,
we will be blessed
We will inherit the kingdom of heaven
We will be comforted
We will inherit the earth
We will be satisfied We will receive mercy
We will see God
We will be called sons of God
The kingdom of heaven will be ours
Obeying the word of GOD seems to be such a better plan
compared to the other option.
But then each of us has to choose the path we will take,
Follow after the ways of the LORD or
go right on following after the world and its ways.
Proverbs 8:13
“The fear of the LORD is to hate evil;
Pride and arrogance and the evil way
And the perverted mouth, I hate.
Zechariah 8:17
Also let none of you devise evil in your heart against another,
and do not love perjury;
for all these are what I hate,’ declares the LORD.”
In Revelation Jesus says;
“I have this against you” /
“I have a few things against you.” /
“I know your deeds”
Revelation 2:4
“But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.”
Revelation 2:14
“But I have a few things against you, because you have there some who hold the teaching of Balaam,
who kept teaching Balak to put a stumbling block
before the sons of Israel,
((before the Christians of today))
to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit acts of immorality”
Revelation 2:20
“But I have this against you,
that you tolerate the woman Jezebel,
who calls herself a prophetess,
and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray
so that they commit acts of immorality
and eat things sacrificed to idols.
So you also have some
who in the same way hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans.”
Revelation 3:15-16
“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot;
I wish that you were cold or hot.
So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold,
I will spit you out of My mouth.”
Is living contrary to the word of GOD worth it?
He came to earth so that you might be set free.
Set free by excepting His free gift of salvation.
He gave of Himself to be hung on a cross,
Then gave up His life,
and three days later He rose from the dead just as He said,
So locking in our salvation.
If we will but except it.

Genesis 1
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep,
and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.
3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
4 God saw that the light was good;
and God separated the light from the darkness.
5 God called the light day, and the darkness He called night.
And there was evening and there was morning,
one day.
6 Then God said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.”
7 God made the expanse, and separated the waters which were below the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so.
8 God called the expanse heaven.
And there was evening and there was morning,
a second day.
9 Then God said, “Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place,
and let the dry land appear”; and it was so.
10 God called the dry land earth,
and the gathering of the waters He called seas;
and God saw that it was good.
11 Then God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them”; and it was so.
12 The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them,
after their kind; and God saw that it was good.
13 There was evening and there was morning,
a third day.
14 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night,
and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years;
15 and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth”;
and it was so.
16 God made the two great lights,
the greater light to govern the day,
and the lesser light to govern the night;
He made the stars also.
17 God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,
18 and to govern the day and the night,
and to separate the light from the darkness;
and God saw that it was good.
19 There was evening and there was morning,
a fourth day.
20 Then God said, “Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures,
and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens.”
21 God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves,
with which the waters swarmed after their kind,
and every winged bird after its kind;
and God saw that it was good.
22 God blessed them, saying,
“Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas,
and let birds multiply on the earth.”
23 There was evening and there was morning,
a fifth day.
24 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind:
cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind”;
and it was so.
25 God made the beasts of the earth after their kind,
and the cattle after their kind,
and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind;
and God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said,
“Let Us make man in Our image,
according to Our likeness;
and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth,
and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
27 God created man in His own image,
in the image of God He created him;
male and female He created them.
28 God blessed them; and God said to them,
“Be fruitful and multiply,
and fill the earth, and subdue it;
and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky
and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
29 Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth,
and every tree which has fruit yielding seed;
it shall be food for you;
30 and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to every thing that moves on the earth which has life,
I have given every green plant for food”;
and it was so.
31 God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good.
And there was evening and there was morning,
the sixth day.
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts.
2 By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done,
and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.
3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it,
because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.
Sanctified:
Is to be set apart, to be declared holy
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
In my youth i remember Saturdays (the seventh day of the week)
that all stores all business were closed,
and we did not work.
In spring and summer most Saturdays we would go fishing,
resting along the banks of a river, lake or the coast line,
not relay caring if we caught any thing or not.
And then things changed,
my Dad who was old enough to be my Grandpa
said it was because mankind has a evil heart and was greedy,
i would have to say He was right.
Just look at were we are today.
Now not only is mankind expected to work on Saturday
(the day the LORD set aside to rest)
but now even on Sunday what has been called the day of worship.
Genesis 2:1
Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it,
because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.
Exodus 34:21
“You shall work six days,
but on the seventh day you shall rest;
even during plowing time and harvest you shall rest.
Leviticus 23:3
‘For six days work may be done,
but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest,
a holy convocation.
You shall not do any work;
it is a sabbath to the LORD in all your dwellings.
This is stated several more times in the bible,
Yes i understand Christ Jesus is the Lord of the sabbath.
I have been told that because Jesus is the Lord of the sabbath it dose not mater what day is chosen for the day of rest,
or the sabbath day.
My question is how dose that change the day of rest?
When even Sundays and going to church is not a day of rest any more.
i think we have lost something some where along in time.
If the world is wrong, which it normally is, Lord help us,
Holy Spirit show us, teach us.
To be on the safe side i will be taking the seventh day of the week and resting.
And worshiping GOD all seven days of the week.
It has been impressed on me that GOD is the same yesterday, today and forever
then when in Leviticus 23 where God sets out His holy convocations with us
He starts with the seventh day being a sabbath of complete rest.
Leviticus 23:3
“For six days work may be done,
but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest,
a holy convocation.
You shall not do any work;
it is a sabbath to the LORD in all your dwellings.”
And in Leviticus six times
He tells us what type of work that we are not to be doing on the Sabbath;
we are not to do any laborious work.
And then aging He restates six times we should not do any laborious work.
And what is laborious::
To be involved in constant activity,
To be involved in considerable physical or mental effort,
To be involved in something that requires much time,
effort, or careful attention,
The Sabbath should be a day of rest not labor,
a day spent allowing the body to relax and do some healing.
Not a day to plan out the next week,
or catch up on what didn't get dune the six days before.
The Lord said be still and know I Am God.
Seems to go together.
Try this;
next Friday around sunset (6:PM to 6:30PM) start the sabbath to the Lord,
Turn off the phone, turn off the computer turn off the TV turn off the radio,
turn off the lap top, take the earbuds out, perhaps even turn out the lights.
The thing is remove all distraction
and diligently be still and wait upon the Lord.
You may fall asleep that’s fine,
the Lord can speak in dreams and visions.
Keep the Sabbath until 6: or 6:30 PM on Saturday.
Do this for eight weeks and see if your life is not better.
i can get my work done in five days and have a sabbath day of rest (Saturday)
and a sabbath day of worship (Sunday).
This is my goal.
to set apart Saturday from the other days of the week,
as the commandment of the Lord has stated;
a Holy day of rest.
Also seems a good day to take as a fast before the Lord.
If i am wrong what difference should it make to you?
But if i am right ??
Out for now,
Take part in the Sabbath and be blessed of GOD.

Revelation 22:12-14
“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me,
to render to every man according to what he has done.”
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last,
the beginning and the end.”
Blessed are those who wash their robes,
so that they may have the right to the tree of life,
and may enter by the gates into the city.
Well i read from Geneses 1:1 through Revelation 22:21
Finished on Monday morning, took me 45 days.
And am now have started back at the beginning Geneses 1:1
taking notes connecting the dots as it were,
and putting down the things the Holy Spirit draws me to.
A few things the first time through that were pointed out to me as important.
Ecclesiastes 12:11-14
The words of wise men are like goads,
and masters of these collections are like well-driven nails;
they are given by one Shepherd.
But beyond this, my son, be warned:
the writing of many books is endless,
and excessive devotion to books is wearying to the body.
The conclusion,
when all has been heard, is:
fear God and keep His commandments,
because this applies to every person.
For God will bring every act to judgment,
everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil".
After reading the entire Bible from Geniuses 1:1
Through Revelation 22:21
This is what the Holy Spirit has made truly clear to me
There is only one book that needs to be read,
but not only be read but taken to heart
that book is the Bible (the word of GOD)
That all the books written by great theologians, teachers and preachers,
by all mankind are nothing but what the righter in Ecclesiastes calls the
“Vanity of Vanities”
For what needs to be read are the word of GOD;
Which tells us
“fear God and keep His commandments”
We are to put our faith in Him,
repent of our sins,
except Him as our Lord,
confess Him as Lord before the world
and obey His commandments.
And the greatest of His commandments is;
Deuteronomy 6:5
Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your might
Deuteronomy 11:1
You shall therefore love the LORD your God,
and always keep His charge, His statutes, His ordinances,
and His commandments
Deuteronomy 13:3-4
you shall not listen to the words of that prophet
or that dreamer of dreams;
for the LORD your God is testing you
to find out if you love the LORD your God
with all your heart and with all your soul.
You shall follow the LORD your God and fear Him;
and you shall keep His commandments,
listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him.
So we have the Ten
1 “You shall have no other gods before Me
2 You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
3 You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain
4 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy
5 Honor your father and your mother
6 You shall not murder
7 You shall not commit adultery
8 You shall not steal.
9 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
10 You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”
In Matthew 22 Jesus is asked what is the greatest commandment and He said
“YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART,
AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’
This is the great and foremost commandment
The second is like it,
‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.
On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
Conclusion Read the bible
Put your total faith in the Lord
Confess the Lord before mankind
Keep His commandments (OBEY)
And love the Lord God and mankind. (your neighbor)
Don’t get tangled up in the world and its sins,
Don’t get side tracked by teachings no mater how well spoken.
But rather seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness.
Jesus said
“if you love Me you will keep My commandments.”
Out for now,
hope you have or are taking the time to read clear through the Bible.
i have starting over at Genesis 1:1
Holy Spirit teach me direct my path, Amen
