Day 24

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. “Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’
And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS."

The attitude of a lot in the church seems to be; except the Lord and your whole life will be a rose garden.
But they forget that when the Lord created roses they all had thorns.

Being a Christian is not a life of happy happy joy joy it is a life of pain and suffering, Jesus told us to expect to be treated the same way He was treated. And how was Jesus treated?
He was betrayed, spit upon, ridiculed, beaten and crucified, why should you expect any better if you are declaring Christ and His ways to the world.

We are told to pray deliver us from the evil one! But that does not mean we are not going to have difficult times, our joy is in the Lord, and no matter what may come to us from this world, in faith we can have joy and peace if our eyes are set on the finish line and not our surroundings.

This world is not my home i’m just passing through, keeping my eye on that small gate that leads home.

Day 23

“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor are figs from thistles, are they?
So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.
A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.
Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their fruits.”

If someone is prophesing and is wrong even once He or She is a false prophet. the false profit should never be listened to aging, just walk away. In biblical days the false profet could even be stoned to death.

This seems to foul up a lot of Christians they say don’t judge others (don’t judge those in the church) and they are willing to listen to any one who carries the name or tital of prophet, preacher, pastor, teacher or evangelist.

But we are to judge the fruit of their lives and what they are saying to see if it does or does not match up to what the word of God tells us.

I have seen so many times a church bring someone in to speak and they spew faults words but because they are on some evangelist list they are praised and lifted up as a great man or woman of God. Slightly twisting the word of God, misleading and deceiving the people.
And the people who do not personally read the bible have no clue they are being misled.

It is dangerous, in counseling i have seen people who have listened to the subtle lies for so long they have become truth in their minds, and lead to doubting their belief and faith in God’s word. Their lives become more loos in their faith witch intern seems to give them more freedom to live a life that is contrary to the word of God.

It is like what the evil people say “tell the lie long enough and it will become truth.

Read the word and let the Holy Spirit be your teacher and your guide, and judge (compair) every word out of the mouth of man to the word of God.

Remember this; the American Church has ts own twist to it, and for many years we have been tought things that are mans opinions of what the word of God say.

What we as Christians need to do is get in to the Bible like we get in to a so called good book, a ball game or a movie, if we as Christians would approach the word of God with the same enthusiasm as we do for things of this world, this world would be a much different and better place, but when God is put on the back burner Monday through Saturday, and we only do our so called Christian duty on Sunday we can't expect to know God or His word or His ways
And we become venerable to be miss lead by false teachers.

How many Christians do you know that can quote a line out of a movie or sone? or the statsof an athlete? But when asked to turn to a book in the bible they panic, because they have no clue where it is.
((When i asked one uguy to find Jude he said and i quote "isn't that in the book ringo wrote"))

Day 22

“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.
For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it."

It is amazing to me how some think everyone is going to heaven, Very simply put no not everyone who calls them self a Christian is going to make it in to heaven.

In a few days we will read in Matthew 7:21
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter”.
“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS."

One thing about going through a small gate you cannot carry a bunch of baggage You can’t take your stuff and things, and there is also no room for a puffed up ego, bitterness, anger, pride, jealousy, worry or fear.

Packing a bitter attitude with you can keep you from going through the small gate the same as if you were carrying an elephant.

For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
And there are few who find it.

Will you be one of the few?
Or are the things and ways of this world so great that you can’t let go of them?
Repent from your wicked way, ask to be forgiven, turn back to the Lord and serve Him with all your heart mind and soul, confess Him to others and Christ will confess you before His Father in heaven.

Unload the pain and anger it takes up a lot of room in your soul.

Day 21

¶ “In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

In Luke 6:31 we are told the same thing Treat others the same way you want them to treat you.

Enough said?

Day 20

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf of bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!"

Salvation is a free gift from Father God all you have to do is ask. And Father God knows are needs even before we ask Him, and is so willing to provide all are needs.

Things we should be asking for:
Salvation
Forgiveness
Wisdom
Health
Food
Clothing
Shelter

Things we should not be asking for:
More stuff and things;
things that take our time and energy and attention away from the things of God.

The things that are on your mind most of the time are the things you ask for, it is amazing how many people dwell on the past thinking as if their thought, complaints, worry or even hate will change anything.

Thinnk about things that are good and upright and holy think on things of the Lord (if you're not reading the word of God or listening to the word of God these things will be strange for you to think about)
Try this;
Think of how you can please the Lord today, and not your self.
Ask the Lordto forgive you ask for salvation, ask Him to fill you with His spirit, and the pairit of love, joy and peace.
