From actions to thoughts

Matthew 5: 21-37 Jesus explain our thoughts are just as important as our actctions.

21 You have heard that it was said to them of the old time, You shalt not kill: for whosoever kills will be guilty of judgment.
22 But I say to you, whosoever is angry with his brother unadvisedly, will be guilty of judgment. And whosoever saith to his brother, Raca, will be worthy to be punished by the Council. And whoever will say, Fool, will be worthy to be punished with hell fire.

23 If then you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you,
24 Leave your offering there before the altar, and go your way: to first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. 25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary delivers you to the Judge, and the Judge delivers you to the sergeant, and you are cast into prison.

26 For truly I say to you, you will not come out of prison, until you have paid the maximum.

27 You have heard that it was said to them of old time, you are not too commit adultery.
28 But I say unto you, that whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery with her already in his heart.
29 Wherefore if your right eye cause you to offend, pluck it out and cast it from you: for it is better for you, that one of your members perish, than that your whole body should be cast into hell.
30 Also if your right hand makes you to offend, cut it off, and cast it from you: for better it is for you, that one of your members perishes, than that your whole body should be cast into hell.
31 It has also been said: Whoever will put away his wife, let him give her a bill of divorcement.
32 But I say to you, whoever would put away his wife (except for fornication) causes her to commit adultery: and whoever would marry her that is divorced, commits adultery.

33 Again, you have heard that it was said to them of old time, You are not too forswear yourself, but shalt perform your oaths to the Lord.
34 But I say to you, do not Swear at all, neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God:
35 Nor by the earth, for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem: for it is the city of the great King.
36 Neither are you too swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black.
37 But let your communication be Yea, yea: Nay, nay. For whatsoever is more than these, cometh of evil.

Our relationship with each other is of great importance to Father God, if our relationships with each other are strained then our relationship with Christ will be strained and the world will not see the love of Christ in us they will only see division and strife, giving the world a bad taste for Crist His love and His church.

How is your attitude with and towards others?
Want to survive get it right.
Jesus took the commandments from just an action to the operation and condition of the mind and heart, be aware of your thought life and the emotions of your heart. What we call self-control can only be totally accomplished by going to the Lord and asking the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you through the mine field in your head and heart. A strong will is helpful if set in the right frame, problem most of the time being strong willed will get you in trouble but with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit a strong will can be set in motion that can keep you from sinning.

Goes back to repent, turn from your evil ways and humbly go to God and ask for help.

Humbling turning, praying seeking

Matthew 5:17-20

17 Don’t think that I am come to destroy the Law, or the Prophets. I am not come to destroy them, but to fulfill them.

18 For truly I say to you; Till heaven and earth perish, one jot or one tittle of the Law shall not escape, till all things be fulfilled.

19 Whoever therefore will break one of these least commandments, and teach men so, he will be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whoever will observe and teach them, the same will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 For I say to you, except your righteousness exceed the righteousness of the Scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Nothing of God ever changes He is the same yesterday today and forever,

And not like us when He says do not do this or that He means it and the consequences are always there, when God gave Moses the ten Commandments all those years ago they are still to be followed to day and Jesus expanse on them explaining how they deeper penetrate in to our lives but does not change them.

We are to not only live by the word of God but we are to share with others the words of God without putting in our own take on things to make it better fit to what we want or use the word of God to manipulate others to do what we want them to do.

Our lives are to be lived out in rightlessness according to the laws of God. To live them and teach them just as Father God has given them to us.

Disobedience should be punished, just as when children disobey their parents should be disciplined so must we as Christian for disobeying our Father.

Jesus said:

"I say to you, except your righteousness exceed the righteousness of the Scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven".

i'm not all knowing and think about it a lot, from what i have read have come to understand this can be done by not just knowing the lays and word of Father God but by living them out each day moment by moment and letting the light of Christ shine through us to this world in the right way. And humbly going to the Father in the name of Jesus repenting for our sins each time we fall short. The word says the Lord is faithful to forgive us of our sin if we will humble our self’s before Him and with a humble heart ask Him to.

Infect in 13-14 Father God said

“If I shut the heaven that there is no rain, or if I command the grasshopper to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people, If my people, among whom my Name is called upon, do humble themselves, and pray and seek my presence, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear in heaven and be merciful to their sin, and will heal their land”.

Humbling ourselves turning from or sin and praying, seeking His presence is something we as Christians today doesn’t seem to do enough of.

How salty is your salt or bright your light?

Matthew 5: 13, 14, 15,16

13 You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? It is therefore good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under the foot of men.

14 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.

15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, and it gives light to all that are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven.

As most of the church has become week and the savor of the salt has diminished there is still a week sense of salt left, don’t let your salt become completely flavorless, and living a life that is tasteless, boring, dull, wishy-washy, characterless, unexciting, boring, lifeless, and unappetizing to those you come in contact with. Oh and did i menschen boring.

For all these attributes are not of the Lord and give others the wrong impression of who Christ is. And if you call yourself a Christian you make yourself a hypocrite, and Christ look like a lire.

For as a Christian we are the light to this world and just as light shins to bring clarity in a room in the dark so your life is to show the love of Christ in this dark world.

But if you live a life that is hidden away under a self-satisfied, smug, righteousness, a life that is self-assured full of itself arrogant smug vain and proud then you are hidden the Love of Christ. A self-riches Christian is a person hiding from the truth, and hiding the true love of Christ from others

For when we are full of ourselves, arrogant, smug, vain or proud others cannot see Christ through us they see us, and Christ in us is hidden from them.

Hiding your light is as easy as being too good to share the love of Christ with others, or sharing in an argent manner.

If you call yourself a Christian then get over yourself and go spread the good news, the love of Christ to everyone the Holy Spirit brings in to your path. Be the salt and be the light, shining the love of Christ so that the salt can bring healing. and the light can shine truth to run off the sin.

Even if your salt is week it is still salt don’t let all your savory run out, and even if your light is low let it shin forth in this world it will recharge, but even if not a little light is better than no light Go let your light shine before men

In Matthew 5, 6 and 7 Jesus lays out who and how we should be and then the rest of Mathew gives us examples of how this look in our lives over the next few days or weeks i’m going to go throw 5, 6 and 7 with a very simple study and lay it out. The word of God is not that difficult to understand, and if you have questions ask, but if you are a praying person you can ask the Holy Spirit to guide you through it and He will. As believers Jesus gave each one of us the Holy Spirit to lead us guide us and to teach us. so here we go.

Matthew 5: 1-12

Attributes we should have

  1. And when Jesus saw the multitude, he went up into a mountain: and when he had set, his disciples came to him.
  2. And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
  3. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Those who are not puffed up in them self’s)
  4. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. (Those who grieve and have sorrow concerning their sins)
  5. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. (Those who know in their spirit they cannot do it on their own and humble their hearts and trust to the Lord)
  6. Blessed are they which hunger and thirst for righteousness: for they shall be filled. (Those who spend their days searching and studying the word of God)
  7. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. (Those who are compassionate forgiving gracious and understanding of others and also thankful for what they have been given)
  8. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. (Those who practice the words of Father God staying away from what is sin and evil, moment by moment going to the Lord and repenting of sin as it comes up)
  9. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. (Those who bring the Love of Christ in to a situation, calming a situation not inciting them)
  10. Blessed are they which suffer persecution for righteousness’ sake; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Those who are wronged mistreated and ridiculed for living out the love and life of Christ)
  11. Blessed shall you be when men revile you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
  12. Rejoice and be glad, for great is your reward in heaven: for they did so persecute the Prophets which were before you.

So

  • 1. Don’t think more highly of yourself then you think of others. We are all 5’s on a scale of 1-10
  • 2. Be mindful of your sins, when you sin in humility repent and ask Father God for forgiveness
  • 3. Trust In and on the Lord for all you are, and all you need, and need to be, knowing you have no hope except in Him
  • 4. Spend your days searching out the Lord, spend as much time if not more reading God’s word and praying as you do texting, on the internet, and watching sports and movies
  • 5. Be caring of all who are around you, graciously forgiving those who sin against you just as Christ has forgiven you, treating others with respect
  • 6. Live a life that reflects Christ to others a life without sin, but when you do sin quickly turn to the Lord and repent
  • 7. Always show kindness and merci towards others
  • 8. No matter how unkind or wrong you are treated always show the love of Christ to those who mistreat you

At all times in all situations stay in the presents of the Lord so you maybe loving, kind, forgiving and merciful to others, so that they may see Christ through

If we would have the same resolution in our soles as Paul and not act ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, truly knowing it to be the power of God, then committed believers in Christ could, as Paul did, we could change not only the values and principles of our family’s, but also our towns, cities, country even the world.

The Bible is life and should be read and shared with everyone possible.

The heart of the Bible is Christ and His glorious salvation. He is the central message of the entire Bible. The Bible leads you not only to know and love Him as the absolute supreme ruler but also as the Lord of grace.

There is joy because of God’s supreme grace. And there is then hope for our fallen self’s and world because God can move mountains bring down strongholds, in our lives, and turn our hearts of rebellion into hearts of faith.

With the word of God in your heart and mind, and in your hands you are equipped to storm the strongholds with the spiritual wisdom that opened you, your family, your town, city state and country to become the most blessed civilization in history.

The Bible’s timeless truths, and revolutionary ideas, will enable you to renew your heart, and your mind, and give you purpose in life.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and mind, the truths found in God’s word are the pointers on your quest to tap into the treasures of wisdom hidden in Christ.

Nothing has ever really changed the world except God’s power. In His word The Bible we have been given the greatest source of the greatest ideas known to man. The Scriptures and its wisdom will enable you to think God’s thoughts after Him because the Bible is His revelation to us.

The Bible is required for the study and interpretation of creation as God would have you see it. With the helper the Holy Spirit leading and teaching us through the bible the Bible that once changed the world can change it aging. With it in our hands minds and heart and the guidance of the Holy Spirit we hold something that could change the world again.

So use the Bible with care. Use it faithfully with faith. Then watch God once aging do above and beyond all that we can ask or imagine, and change this world aging.

tomorrow we start the journey     Matthew 5 - 7 not sur how many post this will be.
